Ann Richards was a long time supporter of the Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation. She always said “YES” when a Saint needed to be pulled from a shelter. For many years she fostered, took Saint’s to the vet for medical treatment and transported many dogs. She was very devoted and loved the breed all of her life.

Very generous but equally unpretentious Ann desires no accolades for her contributions to the welfare of the breed. The Foundation’s flagship “saintuary” in Glendale, Arizona is known as Pioneer Saintuary as Ann rejected the Foundation’s proposal that it be dedicated as the Ann Richards Saintuary. You could see when Ann was with rescued Saints that the affection she received in return from the breed was plenty to fill her heart with gratitude. We will all miss Ann and will always remember her friendship and kind and generous spirit.
