Mozart: is 4yr old rough coat male that was released to us by his owners because they are moving out of state. He is a sweet playful boy that loves to go on walks at the park or just hang out with the family. Mozart is neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. He would do great in a home with a family that’s willing to spend time working on his training and will give him lots of TLC. 12/31/2014

Frankie: is 5yr old smooth coat male that we rescued from a local shelter after his owners dumped him there because they no longer wanted him. We are Not sure if he is house trained or not. He Needs to be with a family that does Flea control as he is Very ALLERGIC to Fleas!! And is still growing back his hair from a flea problem, as he former owner did not care to control fleas. He is located in Reno, Nevada. 12/28/2014

Pharroh: My name is Pharroh and I am a 3 year old, high energy Saint Bernard. I am kind of a spaz; mostly because my owner is physically not able to take me for walks or exercise me so I feel really cooped up in our small house. But once I get out I walk well on a leash but need training to behave when greeting other dogs – I just don’t realize how BIG I am and for some reason, greeting people by jumping up is, I guess, not OK. But I’m sure a strong pack leader can teach me a lot of things like that. At first, I am going to need some very clear boundaries and a family that knows what its like to have “giant breed” dogs. I have lived with up to 3 dogs, but I need less stimulus, so maybe just one furbrother or sister would be good and I do NOT like cats- YUCK! So, no cats or farm animals for me! 12/23/2014

Benny: is a sweet young dog that was recently a owner surrender to a shelter. He was recently fully vetted and neutered. The sore on his nose is healing nicely. He is potty trained, and has been worked with as far as basic commands, he loves to gives hand shakes. He can be a stubborn little guy when going into a kennel, he has to be bribed lol If you could give Benny (Ben) a forever home. 12/23/2014

Jose: is a two year old male. There are so many great things about him but we only have room to list a few. He loves people, wants to be hugged, which is great because he is so huggable, likes other dogs, likes to feel the wind in his face while riding in the car (windows not down too far), he is an easy going guy, and everyone who meets him falls in love with him. 12/23/2014

Luke: and Leia: are nine month old brother and sister. They are a bonded pair that must be adopted together. Luke is very funny, playful and smart as a whip. Leia is very brave and self-confident with a bubbly and happy personality. Both love to play with tennis balls and tug ropes. They like everyone and get along with other dogs. 12/23/2014

Mammouth: was tied to the aluminum can collection cage outside the humane society! I have a BIG heart and love people, but I think I am just a small boy. I am neutered, up to date on shots but did test positive for Lyme’s and will receive treatment so I feel better. I would love a family that understands BIG dogs like me. I will love them FOREVER! I am in a foster home with other dogs. 12/21/2014

Handsome: This sweet fella needs a new home. The owners moved and have no room for him anymore. He is extra sweet and it is so sad that he is being rehomed merely because of no room. 5 years old – Rough coat – 150 lbs – Neutered – UTD on Shots – East Haven CT 06512. Handsome has a high quality breeding bloodline. He has been around other dogs, but would be best in a home without any other pets, including cats. He has so much energy for a five year old and needs an experienced saint owner to continue his training AND exercise him. Leash good if at the right place on neck with a choker – He good with children of all ages – No aggressive. Must go to a family/person willing to exercise him/hike. Please call dawn at 610-787-2353 if you have the time and room and love in your heart and home to give this sweet, healthy living teddy bear!!! Abbey: My name is Abbey the St. Bernard, I’m a 3 year old, spayed, fluffy Saint. I don’t drool so much, only a little when I smell something good. I get along great with cats who aren’t afraid of me. I’m known to focus and worry on cats who aren’t sure of dogs. I normally get along with most dogs, but I’m known to bully in the yard during free playtime. I do listen when I’m told to “leave it” when bunnies and other small animals are in my yard or the vicinity. I walk well on leash and I have mostly gotten along with the other females in my pack, however, I tend to be very dominant and will fight/bite with those females if they are nervous, anxious, or not submissive to me. I currently live in Mechanicsburg, PA and my previous family (before I turned 1) had young children with which I was wonderful. I’m lovable and tend to like being with humans more so than other dogs. I’m excellent with commands and I am a bit of a sucker for treats. My vet recommended I live in a home as an only dog, but with the proper leadership, I’m sure I could adjust. Oh, and I’m pretty skilled at Frisbee catch. 12/17/2014

Moses: is a 1 yo smooth neutered male. His owners realized they had gotten in over their heads with Saint puppies. I will ONLY adopt puppies into homes with previous Saint Bernard/Giant breed experience. 12/15/2014

Daisy: is two years old and what a beauty she is. She loves, loves, loves people, likes to play, and gets along with other dogs. Her owners said she is the perfect saint and were so very sad to give her up. Due to serious health issues with a family member, Daisy was so very sad and depressed because she was no longer getting any attention, and because they loved Daisy so much, they reached out to the rescue to help find Daisy a new loving family. 12/7/2014

Lucy: I am Lucy and my family has fallen on bad times and have to give me up. I am currently in a foster at Pittsburgh, PA. I am four years old and grew up with kids and other dogs. I have a very sensitive tummy and I am allergic to chicken so a higher quality dog food would be great and necessary for my health and wellbeing. I am a ball of joy and energy and want to live in a home with kids and a big yard to play in with or without furry siblings too. Do you have room in your home and heart for me? 12/4/2014

Rhett: Hi! My name is Rhett and I am a 2 year old, male smooth coat Saint Bernard. I came from an unpleasant upbringing where men make me very nervous, but once you earn my trust, I love you so much! I like little dogs, and my foster mom says I dont even look at the cat and it sometimes trys to snuggle with me! Im ok with farm animals like chickens too, and kids? OH! I love kids! The biggest problem is my way of talking when I meet you is to growl, but I am not mad at all so dont be scared! Im just nervous and feeling you out- but as soon as you tell me to be quiet I just lean into you as close as I can! I really deserve to have a happy life – do you deserve a guy like me? I am currently with my foster in Eugene who saved me from going to the shelter (she is awesome!). But I would love to find my forever home with a strong pack leader like YOU! 11/23/2014

Charlie:is a handsome, young, smooth coat St. Bernard. He weighs 140 lbs and is quite tall. He just turned 2 in October 2014. Charlie has a very calm and gentle spirit. Tilley: (aka Bailey) Hi, my name is Miss Bailey (I used to be Tilley). I’m on the little side for a Saint Bernard as I didn’t get enough to eat before I got rescued but my foster family sure likes to feed me and I should gain weight fast, I’m already 91 pounds! I am heart worm positive but please don’t let that scare you, I’m not contagious and I’m on medicine to get rid of it! Other dogs scare me but I’m coming out of my shell and trying to learn to say hello, I’m not aggressive at all, just shy. I have not been around cats yet so I’m not sure if I like them. I’m crate trained and like to spend a lot of my day getting face rubs, napping and will roll over anytime you want to give me belly rubs. If you want a true sweet companion who loves to be inside then I am your new pet! I’d much rather be indoors then out although I do like my walks and am great on a leash. I don’t destroy things, love attention and love to sleep! Please come meet me, I sure would like to find my forever family, I’m being fostered in the North Houston area. 11/19/2014

Gunther: Hi! My name is Gunther and I am a 1 1/2-2 year old male, rough coat (even though my fur is super soft). I will probably max at 125pounds. I am heartworm positive on the slow kill method. Other than that I am super healthy. I love people! I am super curious and am very active. I am a fast learner. I currently live with 3 other dogs (2 large and 1 small) and 3 cats. I must admit I’m a bit too interested in the cats and tend to be a jerk. I love to steal your things and nest but I am NOT destructive. I am crate and potty trained. I am working on being a gentleman in public. I’m a great leash walker. Follow me at “I need a forever home” on Facebook. 11/19/2014

Yukon: is estimated to be about 6 years old. He is already housebroken, and is great with other dogs and cats. He tested negative for heartworms at his recent vet visit. 11/19/2014

Niki: is a sweet young girl with the energy of an adolescent, which she is. She came from a family that wasn’t familiar with St Bernards. She is in a foster home with another dog. Has been around young children, but of course she is bigger than small children. Up to date on shots, spayed, and on heartworm preventative. 11/17/2014

Jack: is 2yr old rough coat male that was released to us by his owner who had him living at his business which is auto junk yard. He is a sweet boy that would make a great family dog with some obedience training. Jack is great with kids and other dogs. When I picked him up he was covered in oil and dirt and had a few scratches from trying to stay cool under the pile of cars. Jack will get a much needed bath, neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped before being adopted. 11/13/2014

Miah:is an extremely petite Saint Bernard mix, weighing in at only 46 pounds. She is approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Poor Miah was abandoned at a truck stop in Wyoming with her puppy, and luckily a good Samaritan took them to the local shelter. Miah is safe in foster in Boise. She has a large male Doberman for a foster brother, plus chickens and rabbits. She is chasing the chickens, rabbits, and cats, so definitely no small animals for this girl! Miah is a very sweet girl with loads of love to give. She has done very well with other dogs, but was a little overwhelmed when approached by several dogs at once. She is just a little insecure right now and needs an owner who will have patience with her and allow her to learn to trust. After being dumped by her family, of course she is going to have some trust issues to begin. Miah’s foster mom says Miah is a very easy dog to have around and is crate and leash trained. She is also incredibly smart and will learn commands very easily. Miah would love to curl up on your bed at night, keeping your warm, and go on lots of adventures! Miah likes to sniff around and check stuff out, so a decent sized backyard is preferable. 11/11/2014

Clayton: Hi I am Clayton I am 12 to 18 month old bundle of fun. I am looking for someone who wants to play rest and play some more. Clayton is about 70 lbs and still growing he is up to date on all shots and has just been neutered so he is ready to his new home. Chloe: is a beautiful Saint/Golden mix. She is a very sweet girl who is inquisitive about her surroundings when out and about, but she always checks back in and does not want to be far from you for long. As you can see in one of the pictures, she has mastered the art of couch sitting. She has been around children as young as five and would give the kids in PetSmart chin kisses. 11/4/2014

Ty: is a 2.5 yo neutered male rough coat. He came from a very bad home situation. His spirit as a Saint Bernard is intact. His body needs time, good food and exercise. 11/2/2014

Scarlet: Scarlet is a 3 to 4 year old female that loves people and other dogs, as long as they realize that she should be the one getting all the pets. She walks great on a leash and listens very well. So if you are looking for a curly redhead she is the one. 10/29/2014

Bobbie: My name is Bobbie.I’m just a year old as of Valentines Day. I was dumped at a shelter after my owner passed away. I am super shy but warm up very quickly. It was noted that I have had an injury to my left front leg months ago. It appears to be healed but I am stiff and limp some when I first get up. I love to play with my foster saint siblings and I’m house trained. Would you like me to come live with you forever? I enjoy chewing on rawhides or knuckle bones as well as practicing snuggling with you on the couch. I’m very quiet by nature even though I’m still very you. I was shaved down to the skin prior to coming to ISBR. I’m waiting patiently for my beautiful hair to grow back in. 10/27/2014

Ruthie: Beating all odds including pneumonia, and a pregnancy this sweet girl is finally ready to find her forever home. Ruthie is the mother of Mork and Mindy the sweet puppies available for adoption. She is 4-5 years old and a smooth coat. She is jokingly called Sheriff Ru in her foster home as she keeps everyone else in check. She is house trained and current on vaccines as well as started on parasite preventatives. Would you like to have Sheriff Ru live her life as the law keeper of your home? 10/27/2014

Yogi: Hi my name is Yogi I am a 7 yr old St Bernard and this is my story. I was living with a family who had to move and no one will accept a dog as big as I am into an apartment, so my owners are heart broken that I need to find another home. So like I said I am 7 yrs old and neutered, UTD on my shots but my rabies is coming up, I am housetrained, not destructive at all. Another thing please don’t let my age full you I still have spunk I’ve grown up with 3 kids and keep up with them. 10/25/2014

Penny: is a three/four year old saint. She fell into our laps (literally) about 4 months ago when she jumped into my husband’s truck and refused to get out. She came to us weighing about 65 lbs and sick. Penny now weighs 105 lbs and has a clean bill of health! She was just spayed and is ready for adoption. Penny is extremely affectionate and receptive to all people. She often tries to lay on our laps! All she wants is to be loved and fed regularly. It only costs about a dollar a day to keep her satisfied. Penny is house trained and well behaved when left home alone. She is now residing with four children ages six, nine, twelve, and sixteen; she knows her limits with all of them and can be trained to love littler ones too. She loves to play tug a war and chase sticks. She also shares her yard with ten bunnies. She likes to follow them around and lie next to them while they eat the grass. She loves stuffed animals; playing with them, sleeping with them, and rearranging them. She is good with bathing, clippings, brushing, and vacuuming as long as you move slowly. She loves to go for walks on a leash. She is getting used to her name and responds to most commands. She is stubborn, but can be conned into anything with a treat. As with any rescued animal, she does have her quirks. She has an aversion to other canine friends or should I say enemies! I’m sure with some hard work and persistent good experiences you could help her with this. She also needs more training before she can participate in gatherings involving food. Although she respects her limits within her home, she is over stimulated by large numbers of people and food together. 10/25/2014

Jackson: is 11 months old and is in Pittsburgh, PA and is awaiting a wonderful family to adopt, love and care for him. He needs a family that have older children, no cats. Jackson needs a big fur brother or sister to love and play with in a fenced in yard. He is a loving snuggle bear once he knows you and know you won’t hurt him. He is with a trainer now learning manners. 10/25/2014

Kobe: is a four year old male, born August 3, 2010 currently being fostered in Olney, Maryland which is 30 minutes north of Silver Springs, MD. He weighed 138 lbs at his last vet visit in July of 2013. His vet records can be emailed to you. A Family member has had him since he was a pup; he came from her neighbor’s litter, and she can send all the paperwork upon adoption. In July, Kobe was being fostered by another family member when owner had to move to a no pet rental. He is house trained, playful, and obedient most of the times. The difficulty with him is when SOME guests come to visit he sometimes barks and lunges; otherwise he is very friendly. He needs further training and this is something we are sure an experienced saint owner can fix and trained out of him. 10/25/2014

Jo: This poor poor guy’s name is Jo. He is currently being fostered in Bethlehem, PA. He was rescued from being fleas infested backyard and starving. He is blind but so loving and wonderful and has a big desire to live and see how the good life lives. He is 8 years old. He loves his new leather sofa and long walks in the park/neighborhood. Can anyone find in their heart to love this guy forever? 10/25/2014

Moose: is a handsome one year old Saint/English Mastiff mix that has become a favorite among the volunteers. He is very affectionate and so darn handsome. Moose tends to be a little timid in discovering things for the first time but also courageous as he does not let his caution stop him from exploring new territory. Sadly, this is because Moose lived most of the first year of his life living in a crate, in the garage. He was let out to take a walk so he could do his business, then it was back in the crate. Moose is putting on weight but still needs some more groceries and he is a growing boy. Come see Moose and be the one to show him all the great things there are to discover in this world. 10/14/2014

Jessi: is a beautiful girl who is perfect for the desert climate because she loves her swim time. She is also big on taking walks and going on car rides. Jessi lived with children ages 5 to 16, likes cats, and other dogs. 10/14/2014

Miss Molly Mae: is a gorgeous 2 year old purebred Saint whose owners had to make the difficult decision to let her go for a chance at a better life. Within seconds of bringing Molly into her foster home, which also has a Great Pyrenees/Saint mix, they were chasing each other and playing like they had been best friends for years! Molly is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone she meets and absolutely loves car rides! She is crate trained, house trained and knows sit and down. She will need some leash work, but does very well with her halti. Molly grew up around kids and is very gentle with them. Molly would do best in a home with another dog to play with and some area to run, as she does get bored by herself. 10/13/2014

Levi: was a stray and found wandering the streets and woods, probably eating dead animals to survive. He is approximately 2 yrs old Will be updated on vaccines, neutered and get ready to find his FOREVER home. His foster mom says he is a sweetheart! Poppi: is a 3 month old Saint mix (Momma was a purebred Saint, but not sure about Daddy). She is cute as can be, and has lots of energy. Poppi will be spayed next week, and will have had 2 sets of vaccines by then. She currently lives with multiple large dogs and multiple cats, and is in the process of being housebroken. We anticipate that Poppi will grow up to be much smaller than your average Saint, but there is nothing wrong with pint sized, and she probably won’t have the drool factor either! 10/11/2014

Hercules: is 6yr old rough coat male that was released to us by his owners. He is a sweet playful boy that loves to go on walks at the park or just hang out with the family. Hercules is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and house trained. 10/10/2014

He has been attending Doggie Daycare every day and gets along well with all the dogs big and small. He is housebroken, current on shots, microchipped, neutered and knows his basic obedience commands. He is still pretty active and loves going for walks. Mac would make a great addition to any family. 10/10/2014

Dinah: is a 6 year old spayed smooth coat female Saint Bernard. She gets along great with adults and has been around older children. She definitely enjoys the company of other dogs. We are not sure about cats yet. She is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and we are working on her basic commands. Dinah is a couch potato and loves being at your side. She will roll over for a belly rub and always looks forward to getting her cookies. She is current on shots, has been de wormed and is micro chipped. Dinah would make a great addition to any family. 10/10/2014

Lucky Dexter: Honey Daisy: (Minnesota) Hi, I am currently in possession of 2 saint Bernard’s, up to date on shots, fixed and in good health. They came to me in April after their owner committed suicide and his wife refused to care for them. I currently do foster care for labs size and under. I agreed to take them because they needed to go together because the female has separation anxiety when away from the male. I was told these were strictly outside dogs, but upon doing research I have found that St Bernard’s need to be part of a family. Due to my number of dog and the fact the male is not a fan of cats I cannot integrate them into my house and with 5 children, working and my other rescue work I do not have the time these guys deserve and an indoor spot they deserve. So right now they are kenneled in a 8×20 foot kennel with a dog house at the edge of our property next to the garden shed, when not being walked this is where they spend their time and they do not appear happy. Lucky Dexter the male, does not like cats, is very gentle and does not usually jump up, walks well on a leash but will run if gets away, usually to hunt the first cat he spots or heads right for the house or garage. Honey Daisy is the female, very playful, very loving, very beautiful, ok with cats, jealous of my labs if they are around me when she is out with me, will not run any distance from Dexter. My husband is pushing me hard to rehome them or he feels they need to be put down. 10/8/2014

Boo Boo: is a Landseer Newfoundland who is coming into rescue with his St. Bernard brother Pharaoh. Both were adopted from shelters a little over a year ago, but their good hearted owner has health issues and two other dogs and has been unable to train or work with them. He is about three and is UTD on all his shots as well as neutered. He is an exuberant puppy who will need a strong pack leader and family with large breed experience to help him learn manners and self control. Boo Boo is a sweet, gentle natured guy who will do well with a fur brother or sister and loves kids and he needs to drop a few pounds as he is probably close to 200 pounds- not good when he greets by jumping up to say hello! He was originally surrendered because he would break out of his fenced yard and go to the local school to hang out with the kids. We need to place him as soon as possible but you need to know that although he has a wonderful personality, he is going to need patience, consistency and someone who will put the time in to help him learn. Are you that family? 10/5/2014

Darla: is a 5-6 yo spayed female rough coat. She was rescued from a shelter near Aiken SC by her Angel Jan. She is very sweet gets along well with other dogs and loves tummy rubs. Please help us find Darla a forever home. 9/28/2014

Issa: (Houston, TX) is a one year old female Saint. Sweet and loving, but still a very exuberant puppy that needs some training and manners. She is fine with other dogs, but has not been exposed to cats. Issa likes children, but is still quite unaware of her size so tends to be a little hard on them. She is housebroken.9/26/2014

Ozzie Pawsborne: Prince of Barkness, is an absolutely adorable 10 month old male Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees! Ozzie was a well loved, well taken care of pup whose owner sadly lost her job and could not afford to take care of him anymore. He is safe in foster in Boise, Idaho with a 7 year old and 10 month old Great Dane and he is having a blast! Ozzie is just about a perfect dog! He is excellent with dogs, couldn’t care less about the cat in his foster home, does well with children, is house trained, leash trained and kennel trained what more could you want in a dog! Ozzie is also very treat motivated so teaching him to do any tricks or new commands should be a breeze. He currently knows sit, stay and kennel. This boy is incredibly smart and will make just about any family very happy. It is recommended that he definitely have some room in the yard to run around. Ozzie is energetic, as are all puppies, and should not be confined to a small yard. Ozzie will be neutered before he goes to his permanent home. He is microchipped and up to date on all his shots.9/22/2014

Sebastian: is a beautiful male who is estimated to be nine months old and is housetrained. Sebi, as he is affectionately known, LOVES to play. His favorite toys are his pull rope (pictured with) and large ball. He will gladly chase the ball with you and have a fun round of rope-tug. His favorite thing next to playing with his toys is people he loves people and loves people playing with him. 9/19/2014

Diezzel: is a big handsome guy. He likes going for walks with his fellow rescue friends, has exceptional leash manners and stunning good looks. 9/19/2014

Riley: is very loving to his whole family and just wants to be with them. He walks okay on a leash and listens well knowing most commands. Riley is up to date on all shots and is neutered. If you are looking for a great new family member here he is. 9/15/2014

Cocoa: 18 to 20 month old playful female who is spayed up to date on all shots. She loves everyone, kids, dogs and wants to meet the cats in the house (in a good way). 9/15/2014

Rufus: 3 year old smooth coated (short hair) male who came into our rescue due to the economy. He is a very sweet dog who gets along with other dogs does not seem to mind cats and loves kids. 9/15/2014

Shane: is 6 month old rough coat male that was released to us by a lady that rescued him from TJ after seeing him chained to the house with no food or water. He is a sweet happy boy that loves everybody and is great with other dogs but has no manners so we recommend basic obedience training. Shane is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and is micro chipped. He would do great in a home with a family that’s willing to spend time working on his training and will give him lots of TLC. 9/15/2014

Bella: (who I named in memory of Belladonna) is 3yr old rough coat female that we pulled from a local shelter after she was dumped out on the streets to fend for herself. When I picked her up she was very dirty and under weight by about 30lbs. She is a sweet happy girl that would love to have a family of her own. Bella is spayed, current on all her vaccinations, micro chipped, and rides great in the car. 9/15/2014

Louie: is an 18 month old 150lb St Bernard. He loves his family and is very protective of his kids. He was crate trained but now has free roam of the home. He doesn’t get into the trash or have accidents. He enjoys swimming and playing tug of war on a walk; he needs some training on his leash. Overall he is a vibrant and handsome young pup but has to find a new home due to aggression with visitors and the children’s young friends. He would do best with a strong male owner. He hasn’t been exposed to cats and the groomer says he is fine with the other dogs while at her shop when he goes for his bath. He is currently located in Clinton, CT. Family has no time for him or continue his training and he is going thru his terrible teen years. 9/11/2014

HANDSOME: This sweet fella needs a new home. The owners moved and have no room for him anymore. He is extra sweet and it is so sad that he is being rehomed merely because of “no room” – 5 years old – Rough coat – 150 lbs – Neutered – UTD on Shots – East Paven CT 06512. Has been around all dogs except Rotties, Does not like cats, Leash good if at the right place on neck with a choker – He good with children of all ages – No aggressive. 9/11/2014

Izzy: her full name is Isabelle Alexis Kennedy. Born 8/11/2006. She is a dry mouth. She is current with all her immunizations and is licensed and lives in Hershey PA. She is not spayed. Izzy has been with the same family since she was 13 weeks old. She was bred once at approx. 3 years old and had 12 pups. She has spent her whole life surrounded by other dogs and cats and other critters. She does on occasion chase the one cat that is afraid of dogs but could care less about the other ones. She does know commands as sit, lay down, stay etc. but doesn’t always follow them especially if there is a lot of distractions such as other animals in the room. She can get quite jealous if you pet one animal and not her at the same time. She has been good around children until recently when she has taken to nipping at a one year old’s face when the child is playing near her. She recently lost her companion sister dog (a 12 year old Saint) and has shown signs of grief since then. Izzy loves to be pet of course and likes to play with other dogs. She likes to sit with her front paws crossed and has an heir of royalty about her. She is a good dog and deserves a good home to spend the remainder of her days. The family is heartbroken that she has to be re-homed but think it is in the best interest of the safety of the baby. 9/11/2014

Noah: is a 9 year old male neutered Saint that was surrendered to the shelter by his owners. He is mostly deaf Noah is one of the most loving boys I have ever come across! He gets along great with other dogs, ignores cats, and loves to be with his people. He also loves to play in the water 9/11/2014

Ziggy: (Alberta Canada) is a 1 and half year old neutered male. He was surrendered to us, Second Chance Animal Rescue Society, a month ago. He came from a house with other dogs and children who he grew up with. He was surrendered as a St Bernard but could be a cross. Unfortunately, Ziggy is not good with strange dogs. He can walk past them on leash and will stay with his handler but if he gets a chance he will attack another dog. He can slowly be introduced and is muzzle trained to help with this. Because of these behaviors and his size we are looking for any assistance in finding placement for him. If you have someone working in the area or know of a owner looking for a rescue who is experienced and willing to work with Ziggy please pass on his information. 9/10/2014

Angel: is an absolutely adorable female longhair Saint! The shelter she was pulled from says she is 3 years old, but we are guessing she is closer to 1 ½ years old. She is still very puppy like and so much fun to watch run around, chasing tennis balls! The first thing she did when she got to her foster home was run around the yard, playing with her new foster Saint sister! Angel was brought to the shelter as a stray with no collar and no microchip. During her stay at the shelter, Angel was in many doggy play groups and did wonderful! Angel would do very well in a home with another dog for her to play with. She is quite the snuggler too! She loves being told how pretty she is, while you pet her and give her belly rubs. Angel is currently in a foster in Boise, Idaho. She will be spayed before she leaves her foster. 9/10/2014

Peaches: This is Peaches, a six year old female Dogue also known as a FRENCH MASTIFF. Peaches is Minnie’s Mom but they do not have to be placed together. She is good with other dogs and is a sweet girl. She just needs some time to adjust to new surroundings. She is fine around children, as well. 9/2/2014

Hulk: Hi my name is Hulk I am a seven year old dark gray Great Dane who loves people as long as they are a teenager or older, my family turned me in because a little pesky kid would not leave me alone and decided that pulling my tail would be fun and I voiced my opinion of that and now I am here, if you are looking for a new laid back best friend let me know. 9/2/2014

Heidi: Is a 5 years old female, spayed and up to date on all shot. Heidi gets along with other dogs and kids of all ages. She is a petite Saint weighing only 75 pounds. She is coming into our rescue due to the family can no longer keep her and asked for are help finding her a new home. 9/2/2014

Patches: I am Patches and I am currently in Waymart, PA. It is about 30 mins from Scranton, PA. A wonderful girl Tatiana rescued me from this horrible chain and dog house. I am about a 4 year old and will be spayed next week – July 25th. I am good with other dogs and go on hikes now with my foster mom and dogs and I love kids as long as the kids are mature enough to know to respect me and are kind. I am working on my manners cause I was only tied to a short chain, but I am so very eager to please and learn quick. A loving, understanding home with a soft bed and ample food and clean drinking water would be nice not to mention being welcomed into a family where they want me with them in the home and not banished to a dirt yard. 9/1/2014

Maddie: is estimated to be 3 to 4 years old. She came in with Beauregard who has already found his home and she is missing him a little bit. She is starting to blossom and what a sweet personality she has. She really loves being around people and is very gentle. Maddie has the longer saint coat but in the pictures you see she had previously been shaved down and her coat is coming back in. 8/31/2014

Sugar: is the original Velcro girl. She is sooooo very sweet, loving and wants nothing more than to be with you. When she came to us at six months of age, she would move around by dragging her back legs. She could stand and walk but refused to do so. We took her to the vets and found out she had some issues with her knees and would need surgery. Sugar is now all healed up from the surgery, moving around fine and loves to play with the other saints in her foster home. 8/31/2014

Frieda: is almost one year old and what a doll she is. She is very sweet and loving. When Frieda is out in the yard and sees you, she will fly across the yard to greet you and promptly flop on her back for belly rubs. Frieda’s life didn’t start out very well. She was left outside with very little human contact and was neglected. She has come a long way in her recovery and loves human attention. 8/31/2014

Bode: is an 8 month old big bundle of love. He will be a big boy as he already weighs 100 lbs but he loves everyone and everything. He is crate trained, housebroken, neutered, current on shots, microchipped and knows basic obedience commands. He walks nicely on a leash and doesn’t jump on people. He has been attending Doggy Daycare and does great with everyone there big and small. Bode would love to be part of a family with kids or with someone that enjoys going for long walks or hikes. 8/30/2014

Missy: is approximately 14 months old and is a longhair, spayed female. She weighs 96 lbs and is very athletic. Missy came from a shelter so we do not have any background information on her. She gets along with other large dogs, but she is a youngster who needs to build confidence, so she isn’t always sure how to act, but she doesn’t show any aggression. We do not know how she is with cats. She is learning basic commands, is very treat motivated and wants to please. She would benefit from additional obedience training. She is good indoors and wants to be around people. Since Missy is exuberant and still learning manners, she would do best in a home with adults or older children. A fenced yard would be excellent because she loves to play outside. She loves to lay at your feet and if allowed, would love to be on your couch. She is micro-chipped and UTD on shots. Missy is very sweet, loves belly rubs and has a lot of love to give. 8/28/2014

Scruffy: is a shorthaired young lady that just turned three this month (May). Her owner passed away so she needs to go to an understanding home. She is spayed and up to date on her shots but will see a vet before going to her new home. Very active and loves the water. Reportedly is good with other dogs but cats are unknown. She is housebroken. Will you be her new family? 8/28/2014

Precious: This sweet sweet gal was rescued from a shelter in Maryland and has been in a home in Patchogue, NY. She is only 1 year old and would make any family very happy with further training and love. She should go to a home with older children since she is quite excitable still due to her puppyhood and new found freedom. She is a great sister to any big dog, esp. a male. 8/25/2014

Amelia: Sweet wonderful Amelia is a 6 year old spayed saint bernard. Her pictures of of her new summer shave down for her comfort. The last pictures is of her in her beautiful winder coat. She is good with other dog and has lived with them. she is good with cat and children too. Amelia is also great on a leach. She is currently living in Lebanon, PA. She has to be rehome because the landlord will only allow one dog. PLEASE NOTE THAT Amelia has Seizures at times, but they are rare and only last about 3 minutes and then she is find. She is currently on a natural/holistic medication that is good for her. She is extremely loving and needs to find her understanding, caring forever home. Please consider this sweet gal. 8/25/2014

Charlie: is four years old and is quite beautiful. He is a smooth coat and 180 lbs – ALL MUSCLE. He is currently being fostered in Pittsburgh, PA. He should go to a home with experience with saint bernards. He is too big and clumsy to be around small kids and cats. If properly introduced, he will get along with a female dog or a wonderful furry brother. Please call Jen at 484.375.8052 to find out more about FABULOUS ME! 8/22/2014

Abby: I am Abby and am located in Pittsburgh, PA. I am 3 1/2 years old and needs to be spayed. I should go to a home with no other dogs, cats or children. Please call Jen at 484.375.8052 to find out more about FABULOUS ME! 8/22/2014

Dottie: is a 6 yr old female who is being fostered right now in Exton, PA She needs to be spayed. She loves people and is extremely affectionate. She loves people and kids very much and would love to be in a home where she is the only pet with kids to love and a family to care for her. She was rescued from an apartment in Maryland and was in a horrible situation. We believe she was never walked and are training her to walk on a leash. She loves her walks but still needs work on not pulling. She get so excited walking and seeing the world. She is 6, but acts as if she has never experienced the outdoors (probably so). So, she does need training on a leash and is going to be evaluated by a professional dog trainer to test her aggression toward other dogs since she has never really been around them other than all the puppies she had throughout the years.8/22/2014

Puppies:::: were 8 weeks on July 31, 2014. We have 4 wonderful puppies that need homes. They were dropped off when they were 4 days old with mom and dad! I have raised them since that day and all 8 were bottle fed when momma stopped feeding. They have been loved and with my family with other animals dogs and a cockatoo. The pups need to learn manners, discipline, but most of all be socialized around other people dogs and animals. Saint experience is a must. I only want these pups to go to forever homes through thick and thin. They will need to be spayed or neutered at 6 month or we will reclaim pup and re-home to the people that will be able to follow this very important event. I really do not want anyone to question that these pups have had the best food, vetting, and care. These pups will not be transported or shipped to anywhere. They are currently located in Bethlehem Pa. Mom and Dad have already been adopted. They are micro-chipped and the rescue name must always remain on the micro-chip registration. One more person can be added. A free 30 days of health insurance will go with each pup. I very much recommend health insurance for the pups due to the health issues that can arise down the road. Also each pup will come with one free examine at Banfield Animal Hospital or Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital in Quakertown PA.. All services will be paid by owner. As of now there are 7 pups because one found a home in the rescue. Pups are a lot of work, so a family needs to be ready to give all time and energy to this pup. Please do not give up on the idea of one of our other dogs. Just because there is a application does not mean that you are guaranteed a puppy. We are looking for the right fit for each personality that I have seen develop in each pup. The choice of pup will be first come first come first serve. Being a rescue, we know what is required to achieve a well balanced, socialized and polite saint bernard that will NOT eventually be dumped due to behavior issues.8/22/2014

PUPPY JADA: She is a 6 month old puppy who is so sweet and lovable. She is coming into our rescue group as an own surrender and is just looking for her new best friend to play with. We will post more information as we get it. 8/12/2014

Sissy Sue: Petite Saint – Sissy Sue Sugar Hill got her name by her owner’s daughter when they adopted her at 4 months old. She is a 3 year old female Saint Bernard, spayed and UTD. She is such a wonderful and gentle dog. She grew up with a male beagle mix? and they were best friends. She has been around babies and young children her entire life. She was bought in Oceanside California at 4 months old. She has been an amazing part of the family and they are very sad to have to find her a new home. She is a very loving dog that needs a great family to love her! 8/9/2014

Liberty: is a 4-5 year old female Saint Bernard who is currently being fostered in West Chester, PA. She is on the smaller side for a saint – under 100 lbs. she is currently living with a bernese mt. dog male and a pit bull female and seems to be doing well. Also, there are children that she is being sweet. 8/9/2014

FABIAN: PEEKABOO – I WUV YOU! I AM FABIAN – I am 4-5 years old. I am currently being loved by my foster family in Winchester, VA She says I am a Velcro dog and I AGREE!! I like other dogs and even hang out at the front desk at a vet’s office. I have all of my shots and been lyme tested and heartworm tested. I am very skinny but we can work on that together. WinkWink I am good with Cats and children and have been with an 18 month old baby. I AM PURDY WONDERFUL! 8/3/2014

Major Stonewall Jackson: soon to be 11 year old senior is a loyal, faithful companion. He wants to be by your side at all times. He currently lives in Richmond, Virginia. THIS IS A LETTER FROM HIS OWNER; At this age he is happiest on the back porch with us or in the living room. Jackson is definitely an inside dog. He is protective to an extent and will bark and go to the door when the door bell is rung. He has bitten, but once was a provoked situation where a child kept teasing him and I just couldn’t catch it and the other time was when he thought someone was messing with the boys (his boys). I believe he is great with females. A male needs to show him who is boss. Once he has been around someone enough he is fine. He doesn’t like a lot of commotion. He does not like thunder storms. He would jump in bed with me if he was still able to. He loves to be pet or rubbed with your foot while watching tv. He knows sit, leave it, come, shake, lay down, and sometimes stay. He learned a lot at obedience school, but unfortunately we didn’t always reinforce it. He is up to date on all shots. His rabies shot is good through August 2016. He is fixed. He is an overall awesome dog. We have a fenced in back yard. We have two cats that he lives with. He has been with other dogs, but I think due to his age he just isn’t caring about being rambunctious anymore. He just relaxes. I think he knows he has grown up with a family, he has protected and taken care of us and now he is the one that is being cared for and just wants companionship. I think he would be fine with older kids, that understand you can’t be up in a dogs face and that he isn’t going to fetch or play anymore. I am concerned about his arthritis, but like I said the medicine makes him sick. I hate that we cannot take him. But it would be against the lease and the heat will be too much for him. I know what we will have to come to grips with if you cannot place him, but it am hopeful you can. 7/31/2014

Miss Gretchen: was dropped off after having her puppy babies. She was such a good momma but now needs a new loving home where she can be the puppy. Gretchen LOVES LOVES LOVES KIDS, but shouldn’t go to a home with cats or small dogs. She would do best with a large male as a big brother. Gretchen is only 2 yrs old. 7/31/2014

Cheney: Is a four year old male who is up to date on his shots and is great with people big small and knows must of the basic commands. His family rescued him from a bad situation last year but unfortunately can no longer keep him. He is looking for someone to open there home and heart to this sweetie. So if you are looking for a new best friend he is the one. 7/24/2014

Charely: a 3 1/2 year old female saint needs a loving forever home. Her owner is very very ill and can’t take care of her. She is great with everything, very well behaved and has been fully vetted. She lives currently in Horsham, PA with a wonderful foster. She is extremely loving and adores kids. She needs someone with Saint experience, time and love. Also, can you please make sure you give us your location and phone number so we can get a hold of you more quickly. Thank you so much for wanting to saving a needy saint bernard. 7/21/2014

Bertha: who is now affectionately nicknamed Honey because she is so sweet, is estimated to be no more than 9 months old. Yes, she is going to be a very big girl. Who knew she liked, or should we say, LOVES water. She went out for her photo shoot and once the leash was off she zoomed into the water. She loves to give paw, either paw works for her, as long as you are holding it. She loves to play with toys and people and WATER. Bertha/Honey came very close to passing away a few weeks ago from the heat. She was wandering the street and became so overheated that she passed out in the middle of the road on the hot asphalt. A very nice gentleman ran out, picked her up and took her inside his office under the cool air. He tried to give her some water but it just made her sick. He called the rescue and we rushed her to the emergency vet for care. She was dehydrated, had heat stress and her body temperature was dangerously high. She had some great care and as you can see, she has bounced back and ready for her new furever family. 7/21/2014

Hanna: This is Hanna; she is about 2 to 3 years old spayed up to date on all shots and still has a lot of puppy play in her. She is looking for a home that has time to play and pal around. She rides great in the car and loves going everywhere so if you are looking for a new best friend she is a great choice. 7/21/2014

Max: We don’t know a lot about Max. He is aprox 4 and came in to a local shelter who called us. We have not had a foster home to put him in and the shelter has been great ; our volunteer goes several times a week and he is good walking, he seems to be Ok around all other dogs but he really needs to get out of there. If you would be interested in taking Max in a foster basis, we would be happy to discuss. 7/20/2014

Ernie: Meet Ernie. Ten months old this guy found himself in rescue after a child became deathly allergic to his dander and hair. He is house trained. Great with dogs, cats and kids. Will require basic obedience after he is adopted. Would you like Ernie to be a part of your forever home? 7/19/2014

Baby Fido: is an 11 week old ball of fur. He is as cute as they come. At 10 pounds we are pretty sure he is mixed with something else and not a purebred Saint although he looks like a mini version. 7/13/2014

Hope: (Texas) is a 5 year old female St. Bernard. She is housetrained, fixed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She was named Hope because when she was rescued from being euthanized at animal control she was in very bad shape (extremely underweight and had a severe infection in her uterus) and we did not know if she was going to make it but we thought there is always hope Once we took her home, she thrived and is now a healthy (weighs about 120-130lbs) and playful girl. Unfortunately, she did not get along with the dogs that already lived here and for this reason is looking for a home with no other pets. She is very friendly with people and just loves to be the center of attention. We are not sure how she is around children since she has been in an adult-only home. We are hoping that someone out there is interested in providing this great dog with another chance at a loving and forever home. Located in West Texas and willing to help with transport. 7/10/2014

Brand: is an 8 year old female saint bernard, short hair and dry mouth. She is good with everything and simply needs to be rehomed. 7/10/2014

Lilly: is a 4 yo spayed female smooth coat. Her owner went to jail so she came into rescue. Very sweet gal, great w/ small children and cats. She’s getting acclimated at the Rescata. 7/10/2014

Cleo: was rescued from an elderly couple from McConnellsburg PA because their failing health left them unable to care for her anymore. They told us that she was 4 years old but never said when she would turn 5. She was around my 8 & 11 year old girls and did very well around them. She was around other kids both older and younger and did well with them. Cleo is living with a cat and she did well with him however the cat spent most of his time up away from the dogs because 2 little dogs would chase him. She lived in a home with 5 dogs including her and she did well with the bigger dogs but not well with the 2 little dogs. She attacked both of the little dogs. She doesn’t like thunder and hates when family yells or someone is hitting each other (NOT HER). She pulls when on the leash but that can be easily corrected. She likes treats but you have to throw them to her because she bites your fingers if you hand them to her – again that can be easily corrected. 7/9/2014

Max: 6 year old male (Lancaster – Leola) 200 lbs He is dollbaby. He is Neutered and he is UTD on shots until Jan. He is fine with big or little dogs low prey drive loves snack. He loves to walk is great on leash. Children lays on him like a body pillow. Free roam of the house. He comes and cry’s when he has to go outside. He doesn’t bark at strangers. No protective qualities. The dog has been abandoned!! He must go to a loving wonderful home who will spoil him and make him a true part of the family. 7/9/2014

Molly: is a wonderful dog, approximately 7 years old and located in Westminster, MD. She lives with a 4 lb. Chihuahua and two cats, all of which she just ignores. She is up to date on all shots and micro-chipped. 6/2/2014

Mia: Hi I am Mia, and I am a playful five year old full bred Saint Bernard. I am so happy to get to experience new things in my foster home that I love. Things like car rides, walks, meeting other dogs, and especially new people! I am great with other dogs, but need supervision around food. I like cats a little too much so a cat free home would be best. I love my people! I have been around children and get along with everyone. I know basic commands and listen most of the time. My foster mom will be getting my shots UTD as well as have me spayed soon. She says I love getting baths in the tub, but what I really like are the towel rubs and hugs after. 6/2/2014

Kaiser: is 5 years old, 115lb, long hair, big headed male saint. He drools a lot. He is a good dog, great personality, lots of energy. This is his second time in rescue. He previous owners feel on hard times and had to give him back. He fine with small children (lived with three young boys). He does love car rides. You won’t need to lock your car with him in there. He got a deep bark. You more likely to have people come up and ask to pet him, can I take a photo with him. He tends to get noticed. He does enjoy chasing goats but has never attacked one. Chances are you don’t have goats. His flaws: When eating he likes to drop his food on the floor and doesn’t always eat it all. He can reach the counter and not against taking stuff off it. He has a fondness for good bread. He did dislocate his back hip at the named foster home. It’s all healed up and he back, to his old active self. He would be a very loyal companion to a family who will give him the attention he deserves. Give him a chance you will fall in love with Kaiser. 6/1/2014

She is currently on the proguard heartworm shot for every 6 months. Molly is a 100lb lap dog, that loves her people. She is defensive of the home to strangers and would thrive in an home environment where she is the only animal. She does get jealous of other animals (dogs or cats) receiving attention and doesn’t know her own size/strength or when to stop. However She does do really well in public situations and LOVES to ride in the car. She is house broken and kennel trained and know basic commands such as sit but is not very well leash trained. She genuinely is a big baby that wants nothing more than to be spoiled by her human. When matched with the right person or people in a single pet home, I think Mollie would be a great friend and watch dog. 5/28/2014

Sally Rose: is a 2-3 year old, very small Border Collie who only weighs 33 pounds. She isn’t very keen on other dogs, but we are working on her with this. Freyja: This is Freyja a very outgoing friendly young lady, who is four years old. She is great with kids of all ages, cats and other dogs (as long as they are not bigger than she is). If you are looking for a new best friend she’s it. 5/19/2014

She is looking for a forever home. 5/18/2014

Annie: is an approximately 7– year– old, 141 pound female Saint who was brought to the local shelter by her owner. Annie’s owner could no longer keep her or her smaller dog– friend after the landlord threatened to kick them out. Annie gets along with people of all ages. She is a dominant female and would do much better as an only dog or with smaller dogs. She loves to walk and has done quite well learning to walk on a leash. Annie also loves the water and will try to put her paws in any body of water she can find! She knows how to sit on command, especially if there are treats involved. Annie is quite depressed at the shelter and just wants to be in your living room. She spent the first 7 years of her life with one owner and has been traumatized by living in the shelter. Do you want to give Annie the forever home she so deserves? 5/14/2014

Buffy: is 2yr old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter. She is a sweet playful girl that loves to be with people and fine with dogs. She is about 20lbs under weight but with some good food she will look amazing. She would do great in a home with kids and another dog to play with. We do recommend obedience training. 5/13/2014

Milo: is 19 month old rough coat male Saint mix that was released to us by a lady that saved him from his owner that was going to just leave him in the backyard and move. When he arrived he was covered with fleas and must have been for a long time because his skin is raw from scratching plus he has lost a lot of his hair. We have treated the fleas and he is on medication for his skin problems which should be cleared up in a month or so. Milo is not a big boy but very sweet and he is great with other dogs. He is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, micro chipped, rides great in the car, and would love to go on walks with his forever family. Now all Milo needs is a loving home that will give him lots of TLC. 5/9/2014

ABBY: a 4 year old saint. Was rescued from people that were going through a divorce. The rescuers have had her for a year. She now needs rehoming. She is a great girl I love her very much. She is very sweet good with people & kids. Good with people & children. Doesn’t seem to like smoking, gun shots, thunderstorms loud noises really – but what saint does HA! She loves to run around in fenced yard, play with toys, and going for walks. She is very smart has been to obedience class. She loves car rides. She should be the only pet in the home. 5/9/2014

Norris: is a very sweet Saint Bernard/ Shepherd mix. He is good with other dogs; gentle with kids and friendly with people. He has good leash manners and understands basic commands, and he is well mannered in the house. We think he is about 5 yrs old, but checking on that. 5/7/2014

RAMSEY: Our wonderful and very friendly Ramsey is a great guy. He is between the age of 4-6 and had a hard life. We thought he was deaf, but he had severe ear infections which are healing nicely with love, great food and medicine. The vet removed a marble sized ball of junk from his ear. Ramsey is a loving dog that gets along with all dogs and is very submissive, laid back and sweet. He is currently being fostered in Fairfax, VA. 5/7/2014

Moose: is a handsome 4-year old boy who loves the outdoors but don’t mistake that he doesn’t love being at your feet too while you are watching TV or working from home. When you first meet Moose, he’s a little reserved and cautious, but once he warms up to you, he’ll be your best friend and protect you always. Moose has been around teenage children but not very young children. He goes to dog parks and gets along with the other dogs. Moose is an escape artist who constantly breaks his invisible fence so he can go out and visit his other dog friends. He also likes to patrol his property and will bark an alert to anything strange going on around his home. Moose has some basic training and knows sit, paw, stay, down. He is up-to-date on all shots and would love for you to consider him. He needs a fenced in yard. Also, he gets along with other dogs and love kids that aren’t too small – only because how big he is and he thinks he is a puppy still. 5/6/2014

Bella: is about a 3 year old long hair girl who is a very big love. At 120 lbs Bella gets along best with calm dogs. She has also been around small dogs as long as they are calm. Bella has spent time around young children too.5/6/2014

Alley: Meet Alley! Sweet gal who lived on a chain her whole life. A Good Samaritan offered to take her off her owners hands and he agreed. Unfortunately his dogs would not accept this sweet gentle gal so he contacted ISBR. Alley is fantastic with her foster brother and sisters. She is great with everyone she meets. She is 5 years old and has accustomed herself to indoor life very well. She is crated trained and learning house manners. 5/5/2014

Sadie: is a one-year-old, spayed female Saint. She weighs about 100 lbs., is current on her vaccines and tested negative for heartworms. While a playful, loving dog when she gets to know you, Sadie does not do well with strangers and is particularly fearful of men. Sadie is currently working with a dog trainer on her behavior issues which stem from lack of proper socialization and impaired vision in one eye. Once she trusts you, Sadie is a loyal, affectionate girl whose entire world revolves around you. However, she will require patience and additional work with a trainer. Sadie does well with other dogs (she currently lives in a multi-dog household) but can be a bit bossy. 5/5/2014

Cookie: is a 2 yo spayed female rough coat. She was turned into a shelter in AL for chasing cows and killing chickens. Super sweet gal that needs a different job. She loves giving hugs. 5/5/2014

Yoshi: or shall we say, “Mr. Wonderful!” 1 yr old male who has hip issues and takes glucosamine – what saint bernard doesn’t? He needs to be walked and exercised and I believe he will do well. He is living in Hagerstown, MD right now. The woman has to give him up due to a difficult pregnancy and 2 toddlers already. Husband works 80 hours and the dog is so sad and neglected right now, so that they called and asked if we could find a home with family who would love him and be home and give him the attention, love and continued training he deserves. 5/1/2014

Max: and Bella: are a perfect match. They are brother and sister, born on 10-10-10, Saint Bernard / Newfoundland mixes. Max is roughly 195 lbs and Bella is around 130- pictures do not do them justice. Unfortunately, their loving mom who has always been a great support of saint rescue has cancer and her treatments have rendered her too weak to care for her babies. They are a great age, very gentle and calm in the house, but outside will run and play like puppies. They LOVE their walks, and do well on a leash. They should go to a home with a fenced in yard so they can continue to get exercise, they also have a great recall in the yard to come inside. They should go to a home with no other pets. They are not dog aggressive but would do better in a home by themselves. They have not met a cat in person but have seen a few outside and are VERY eager to go meet them- which could easily hurt a cat/small dog by accident. They both love car rides, so make sure you have a big SUV to haul them around, and a ramp would be a help for both of them. They love everyone they meet, if you start petting Bella you will have a friend for life- she will not leave your side and will head nod you if you stop! Bella is definitely the lover of the two, where Max is the class clown as he plays with oversize tennis balls. These are wonderful dogs, fully house broken, will NOT eat food off of your table, and very well mannered. They are both fixed and UTD on vaccines. Bella was groomed 3/11/14, and Max had a good brushing (he was too big for the groomers tub). They are loving life with their foster mommy and daddy but would love to have a place they could call their forever home. 5/1/2014

DIESEL: 12-2-12 B.D. Was rescued from Puppy World! Has been dog acclimated since puppy stages. Puppy class twice a week at Petco till 6 months, weekend dog parks since first coming home and attended While You Were Out Pet Sitting twice a week. Also very friendly to cats. Has lived around them his whole life. Also loves children and doesn’t mind them running around him. He grew up around my niece and nephew who were 3 and 4 at the time. No food aggression at all around other people or dogs. Loves water a lot, must keep an eye on him. He is also house broken. Sleeps in bedroom not a crate, and is reliable up to an extreme max of twelve hours between walks. He was crate trained as a puppy and will use it. He also walks in his crate when he needs his alone time. He recently developed a food allergy. So far we think it’s chicken by products and grain. This food allergy has lead to part of the reason why I regretfully surrendered him. The cost of food plus current costs and moving for jobs just will not match. income to debt ratio. Current weight is roughly 115-120 pounds. He is a big loveable goof. 4/30/2014

Hannah: came to rescue from an animal shelter. She is approximately 4 years of age and ready to find her forever home. Hannah is friendly, sweet, affectionate and willing to "fit in". She gets along with people and other dogs. She is trained to sit, come and down. Seems very intelligent and is very willing and wants to please. Very sweet temperament. We recommend Hannah go to a cat free home. However with supervision and training Hannah may learn to adjust to a life with cats. 4/30/2014

Louie: is an saintly gentlemen who was removed from a neglect situation in Bend Oregon. He was a wreck when he came in and stole the hearts of the shelter personnel as well as the officer who had removed him. He is in the care of St Bernard Rescue at this time, recovering from badly needed eye surgery. We think he is about 7-8 years old so he needs a peaceful home where someone will allow him to live out his golden years; he is well mannered, potty trained and quiet. Currently, he is in a safe but not optimum situation and we need him to be settled in a home where he can be warm, loved and petted every day. 4/30/2014

Tawny: came to the shelter in deplorable condition; tossed aside as a senior because her owners could no longer get puppies from her and thought her too much work. We are looking for someone willing to take Tawny in and allow her to live out her life in joy and comfort. She is a good girl and deserves better than the hand she has been dealt – would you be that home for Tawny? Here is what we know; she is 11 and spayed. She has been relinquished to my care because she is older and her owners no longer want the responsibility. She seems to still move pretty good, her hips aren’t what they once were but she gives her best. I think her hearing is going a bit as well but once you have her attention she is has lots of loves to give. Gets along with other dogs and pays no mind to cats. I also know she was raised with to rowdy boys so kids are no problem either. She was pretty dirty and matted but had a great temperament. She just needs a porch to finisher her time out on. There is an angel looking out for her in Roseburg while we find a suitable forever home for tawny – are you that home? 4/30/2014

Bear: is approximately two and a half years old and is a mixed Saint Bernard (possibly a Leonberger parent). Bear does better with women and some obedience training would be helpful. He lives with another male but has problems with strange dogs by barking. He does well with cats and is housetrained. He loves his car rides and of course, belly rubs. Bear would do best with a homebound family that wouldn’t offer a lot of stress. He does have some allergies which will have to be maintained FYI Costco citerazane (Aler-Tec) is 365/~$14.00 At. Bear deserves a home where he will be happy. Experienced large dog applicants is a must. 4/30/2014

Teddy: My name is Teddy. I was born on January 15, 2009. My family brought me home on February 15, 2009. I weighed in at only 5 lbs and now I’ve grown to about 160 lbs. They love me very much but can’t keep me any longer. I am very sweet and think that I am a lap dog. I love to take baths and to get haircuts. I get so excited when I hear the sound of clippers. When I see people run I chase them; knock them down to shower them with kisses. I can be very clumsy and do not know my own strength. I know how to sit, lay, speak, give both paws and lay my head down on command. I am a little afraid of other dogs, as I was once bit on the nose by a neighbor’s dog. I prefer to be around little dogs. I have always been good around children. I have had epilepsy since earlier this year and have had about 4-5 seizures ONLY. My seizures are completely controlled as long as I take my daily medication. I take two 64mg Phenobarbital pills twice a day every day and have been seizure-free since I was put on medication. I haven’t had a seizure in a long time, due to my meds. Recently my family moved and I now spend a lot of time alone and have started to pee and poop since I’m so upset and lonely. I even bit my dad when he tried to take a bone away from me. They are too scared that I can hurt one of the kids to keep me. I need a home that will be patient and show me lots of love and attention. 4/28/2014

Sweet Daisy: This is an email from Daisy’s owner who is in the arm forces. Let’s support our troops and love their dogs while they defend us. I am in the military and have been assigned to move with my family to Hawaii in June. We do not believe that we are going to be able to bring Daisy with us to Hawaii for our assignment. First, the cost of transportation, quarantine, ect. is not feasible. Second, Daisy has hip dysplasia and we do not believe it would be in her best interests health wise to both endure a flight to Hawaii and the quarantine that she would have to endure in a kennel for up to 120 days in Hawaii. In 2009 we did replace one of Daisy’s hips at a substantial cost, but her other hip also has dysplasia. Daisy was born in October 2008 and is 5 years old. We purchased her from Valley of Sweet Saints, a breeder in West Virginia. She is an absolutely wonderful dog and is the most loving and loyal dog to us and our four children (ages 2, 4, 7, 10). She has also been raised with another dog, a 75lb., 10 year old Sheppard mix. She gets along excellent with other dogs and loves to play with other dogs. Besides the hip dysplasia, she is absolutely healthy and maintains a healthy weight. She still manages to be active, and loves to run around outside for limited distances as her hip can give her some pain after sustained activity. Although we currently live on 25 acres, she is primarily an indoor dog and loves laying down and snuggling with the whole family. She is very social, loving, and just enjoys being surrounded by a family who will love her and take care of her. We are very sad to have to find a new home for Daisy, but have decided it is in her best interests. We are requesting your assistance in finding Daisy a new home if possible. We have tried to do so on our own, but without the assistance of a rescue organization, it appears that there is not a lot of interest by most in adopting a 5 year old very large dog. Daisy is a valued and treasured member of our family and everyone in our family is having a very difficult time with this decision. However, we have to be realistic and have realized that bringing her to Hawaii is not feasible. 4/28/2014

Zeus: UGH AGAIN HE IS 17 WEEKS OLD AND FELL OUT OF THE BACK OF A PICK UP TRUCK. WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING WHY WAS HE IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK???????. NATURALLY HE GOT VERY VERY HURT. LET ME LINE ITEM HIS INJURIES. 1. BROKEN RIBS- 3 TO BE EXACT. 2. BACK RIGHT BROKEN LEG IN 2 PARTS. THE FEMUR SUSTAINED A COMPOUND BREAK. IN FACT TO QUOTE THE SURGEON HE HAD TO SEARCH for part of the bone once the leg was opened up. He had to have a plate, and 8 screws/pins to put his leg and hip back together. The surgeon stated it was one of the worst breaks he has worked on. Apparently he fell off the back of the truck and bounced off the ground and then hit the ground again. That is why his leg was do badly broken. 3. Hairline fracture on front leg. Only needed to be splinted. Will heal on own with proper care. Now what is so amazing is this puppy was trying to be so brave. He is a super boy. 4/28/2014

Calle: is a sweet long hair female who is 2 yrs old, She came in with 2 other female pups, and liked them, but now we cannot find any other dogs she does like, we advise her being an only dog. Also at the vet she expressed allot of interest in cats, so again we advise No cats for her. The adoption fee includes all shots, heartworm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. 4/22/2014

Roxy: is our newest charmer. She came in with Baily when their owner passed away and his family was unable to take them in. Roxy is the sweetest most lovable saint around and yes, she does like her treats and dinner and treats and breakfast and Roxy is available for adoption or as a foster. 4/22/2014

Charlie: Could I be your Christmas present, you sure would be mine!! A family of my own is all I want for Christmas! Hi, my name is Charlie. I’m a quiet Saint and quite the lover. I’m laid back and getting along with everybody, even mom’s birds I don’t bark much at all. I’m about 1 1/2 years old. I just got saved from them putting me to sleep last week. I don’t know what I ever did wrong in my old home, but they sure didn’t want to claim me from that jail. I am house trained and let you know when I need to visit outside. I know my basic commands and come whenever anyone calls me (I’m just excited that someone wants me and my attention). I do pull on a leash, but we are working on that. I just can’t help it sometimes I just get curious and want to explore. I forget that you are supposed to walk me. If I can fit into your family, would you come get me? I was adopted out a year ago to a wonderful family and overcame a lot of this and now am found back in a kennel due to my new family being laid off and loosing their home. I don’t understand that and I’m heartbroken and depressed because I’m really not understanding what I did wrong in my dream home. 4/19/2014

Miles: is a 3 year old rough coat Saint Bernard. He gets along great with all people as well as dogs, cats and livestock. He is neutered, housebroken, crate trained, current on shots & microchipped. He is still a little on the thin side so will need some TLC to get him back to the weight he should be at. 4/16/2014

Dora: Meet Dora! She is a true DOLL!!! Maybe you could save her from this cage, because she sure doesn’t belong there, and can’t stand it! Dora is believed cat friendly; however she does not play nicely with small dogs. Dora was retrieved out of a kill shelter, then they found her mom and dad who signed her over due to loosing their job they could no longer afford her. This wonderful dog has done nothing wrong and spends her days wondering what she has done to deserve such living conditions. Dora knows her basic commands and is not pushy with attention, but she loves her people! She is between 2-3 years of age, and hates to be dirty. She would love to have a home for Christmas, fill out an application today if you want this present under your tree. Spayed, UTD on shots, micro chipped, vet checked. 4/16/2014

Tiny: is looking for a new home. His owners are having to give him up for a few different reasons. He does continue to get out of their fence, so a fence will be required. He needs lots of attention from his people and some exercise. His owners adopted him from a shelter about a year ago, so they do not want to return him to one, they are wanting to find him a good home or surrender him instead. This next home needs to be his forever home and able to give him stability and lots of love. Tiny is absolutely a lover, he knows all his commands including some tricks! He is very loyal and loves to stay by your side. 4/16/2014

Jade: Jade is 7 yrs old in March. She is a very loving dog and likes to sit by your side. to get her loves. She get’s along with other dogs, but not aggressive ones. 4/15/2014

Hugo: This 2 year old male UTD and Neutered is a Great Pryn/Saint Bernard mix. He is young and needs training and someone with giant breed experience. He MUST GO TO A HOME WITH FENCED IN YARD. He is still a puppy and needs to learn his manners. He currently lives in Roanoke, VA but will probably go to our foster in Fairfax VA. Also, he, like most starved shelter dogs, has shown food aggression with his dog sister, but that can be fixed with the proper training and diet, etc. He loves dogs and children very much. All he wants is to be loved and spend time was his family. Don’t apply if you want a dog to keep outside. He is a lover and just needs to be trained just like any puppy. 4/14/2014

Georgia: Please say hello to Georgia! She’s a young, happy 3-year old girl. She’s VERY friendly and just LOVES her people. She has visited dog parks and gets along with the dogs she meets at the park. She has also played really well with a pet rabbit with no issues. Georgia is well-behaved and very treat motivated! She knows several obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, gives paw. Georgia has been around teenagers and just loves the attention from them. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her shots. She is the lighter colored saint. 4/13/2014

Zander: Meet Zander After living outside for his whole life (9 years) he has been taken in by ISBR to take on being a spoiled house dog in his senior years. He is great with kids, dogs of all sizes and walks well on a leash. He loves to go for rides and hang out in the house. Wont you give this senior guy the best years of his life? 4/13/2014

Zoe: This beautiful gals name is Zoe. Her and Zander were yard mates. Zoe is 8 years old and such a loving sweet dog. Living outside her whole life she is acclimating to being a spoiled house dog. Zoe is great on and off leash in her foster home. She enjoys car rides with her saint foster brother and sister. She is great with kids and wants a place to call her own to live out her years. Wont you make Zoe a forever part of your home? 4/13/2014

Mya: is a saintly among saints. This darling 7 year old came to us as an owner relinquish. Covered in fleas and no vet care her body is not yet as beautiful as her heart. Due to the horrible infestation of fleas where she came from she is missing over half of her hair. ISBR has rid her of unwanted friends and found her new ones. She loves to snuggle in bed with her new foster family including their saint. Mya has been vetted and ready to find her forever home. Will that be you? She is house trained and loves to go for rides. She walks well on a leash and loves to play with her foster sister both canine and human. 4/13/2014

She is house trained and great with other dogs. She is good with kids of all ages and very well behaved. Paisley likes to go for car rides and take walks. She is working on her leash manners. 4/13/2014

Jasper: Hi. I am Jasper and I am about 2 1/2 yrs to 3 yrs old. I am very sweet and loving. I have issues with my joints but am in no pain. I would be a great dog for a home without steps and daily slow meandering walks. I am a great companion and am grateful of any affection and attention. I am a great dog but due to my hips (which require no meds), I am better off in a quiet loving home without children. I am very easy going but deserve a home where someone is there often. I don’t want to be home all day by myself. A furbrother or sister would be great for me too. I get along with all dogs. Maybe an older saint wanting a layback brother to hang out with and take slow long walks with would be ideal. 4/13/2014

Piper: is a male approx. 3 years old. He is a full blooded registered St. Bernard weighing about 120 pounds. He is short haired. He is a big baby who loves to cuddle and thinks he is a lap dog. He gets along pretty good with other dog but has food aggression issues so should be in home with no other dogs. He will chase cats but its a playful chase and if he catches up to them he just stops looks at you like what now. He is terrified of water, so getting him in the bathtub is difficult. Loves children. It takes a strong man to pick him up and put him in. He likes to stand up with his paws on your shoulders and give hugs while nuzzling your ear, but he is polite about it and will ask first by pawing your leg, unless you pat your chest to ask him up. He is very loving and is an attention hog. 4/13/2014

MIKE: IS ON THE LEFT – Mike is really special and deserves to be spoiled. He was in an outdoor pen that had mud piled up against it so high that the door was not opened for months. Food and water were thrown into him over the top. He was in deplorable condition. He was taken from his owners by the SPCA for his area. If I remember correctly, some firemen came to lift him out through the top of that pen. And for all that, he is still sweet. And for never being socialized, he was absolutely wonderful with Jackson for a 3hr car ride. He needs some training, notably on leash, but he’s naturally wonderful. 4/13/2014

George: is 4 month old rough coat male that was released to us by his owner along with his mom and dad Bonnie and Clyde. He is a sweet happy boy that loves everybody and is great with other dogs. George is house trained, knows his basic commands, and even knows how to retrieve his toys. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and is micro chipped. George would do great in a home with kids and another dog to play with. 4/12/2014

Molly: This is miss molly. She weighs 28 pounds and needs to be fattened up. She was pulled at the very last seconds of being gassed in South Carolina. A rescuer rushed to pull her out of shelter before being killed and we had a pet transport bring her to us for love and care and good food. She is in foster care with us with a very loving understanding foster family. She is so loveable and loves to snuggle! She is 1 year old. She is half saint bernard half German Shepherd. She needs a home where they show her the world is not a cruel, horrible place. 4/7/2014

Archie: is 4 years old. This guy is totally vetted. He is not good with small animals but fine with larger dogs. He would be fine with older children. Needs a little work on a leash; but heels very well (very eager to please). Learning what the world is all about. He suffers from anxiety due to a great deal of neglect. But as anyone who has had a dog like that, they can be cured with love, patience and comfort. He and his sisters were rescued in September 2013 from being in wooden boxes hammered shut! Nike and Roxanne have their new homes and are doing wonderfully. Now, Archie needs his forever home. We love this guy so much that we will place him in a great home for FREE if you are willing to work with him. Stay at home parents and or retired persons or work at home folks are welcomed and would be perfect. 4/7/2014

Jennifer: 27 month old St. Bernard named Jennifer lots of energy very playful loves walks and great with kids. Just probably not good with smaller size dogs or cats. 4/7/2014

She’s used to being groomed every 4 weeks and is a champ for that. 4/7/2014

Donald: This is Donald! He is a beauty and needs a new home where he can thrive and be part of a family. Donald gets along with some dogs and should be in a home with older children or no children at all. He is big and is only 14 months old. His 1 yr old birthday was in January. You must have a fenced in yard, time to continue his training and BIG DOG Experience. He is a bit of a handful and needs a strong but loving hand. 4/5/2014

Kennedy: My name is Kennedy I am 3 years old and about 120 lbs. and I love kids , dogs and just everyone. My family has a new little one on the way so I need to find a new home. If you are looking for a great new best friend just let me know, my bags are already packed and I am ready to go. (the first picture is when I was younger but it shows my pretty face). 3/31/2014

Bowser: (Victoria, TX) Bowser is a 15 month old neutered male Saint. He is vaccinated, housebroken, and does well with other large dogs. Bowser needs a home without small dogs or cats, as he may chase them. Bowser currently weighs about 120 lbs, and is still a growing boy. His original family grew tired of his size (it was an apartment that he lived in), so he was surrendered to the shelter or they would just shoot him. Maybe this time, he will get a family who understands his age and size! 3/30/2014

Diesel: a shorthaired male that is five years old. Diesel came into rescue due to his owner has passed away. He is a great dog that gets along with dogs, cats, chickens, etc. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. Will you be the home that gives Diesel another chance with a family? 3/30/2014

Angelika: a 10 mo old female smooth coat Saint Bernard. She is loving and happy go lucky and is looking for her own forever home to be the center of attention and a committed family that will keep her a part of it and continue her training and proper manners of such a lovely lady. 3/27/2014

Coco: is a tiny full bred saint bernard. She only weighs 81 lbs. She is very sweet and loving and needs an understanding home that will help her get use to activity in the home. She was kept in a garage her entire life. She is housebroken and loves people and is currently living with a foster with two female saints and a yorkie and she is doing fine. Because she was kept in a garage, Coco needs to get use to things like a vacuum, clanging pots and pans, garbage disposals, etc. She gets scared and wants to hide. We have learn that when a saint has been rescued from a life of solitude, they are best in a home with older kids and another dog or two. The dogs teach the new rescue the ropes and confidence builds at a remarkable rate. Every day she comes out of her shell and gets more more use to usual noises and activities in a home. She is the best starter saint and is our little princess. 3/26/2014

ROSIE: Her name should be SASSY, cause she is! Rosie is a 10 month old Female Smooth coat (short hair) who has entered rescue and needs a wonderful family with a fenced in yard and time to help her become one of the beautiful, loving saint bernards we have all come to know and love. She is currently being fostered in Bethlehem, PA. ROSIE’S. We are listing the adoption fees since a few people question us and the fee amount only at the last minute upon adoption. We make NO MONEY. These dogs cost so much more that we lose money out of our own pockets to properly care for them and have them ready for a forever home. Saint Bernards throughout their lives are one of the most expensive dogs there is out there. We need to state this unfortunately for some who question it. 3/26/2014

Jake: is great and needs a loving home. Jake the 3 yr. old male saint, rescued from shelter in MD is alive and well! He is UTD and just neutered and ready for his forever home. Sami: is 3yr old rough coat female that was released to us by her owner because he didn’t want her. She was his mothers dog but she got sick was put in a home and he kept her in the back yard with no human contact and just enough food to keep her alive. When we got her she was skin and bones but after being with us for 10 days she has gained about 15lbs so far but needs to gain at least another 30 to 40lbs. Our trainer is working on socializing her and she is doing great so we are looking for an owner that’s experienced with the breed in a quiet home. 3/25/2014

Bailey is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, micro chipped, rides great in the car, loves everybody but he wants to be the only dog in the home. 3/25/2014

Val: is a 5yr,8mo old, female Saint Bernard, b-day is 3/5/2009. She comes from a shelter as an owner surrender, due to the family falling on hard times. She has a foster brother saint and 2 cats in the home she is being fostered and is near Portland.. She weights 110lbs and does NOT drool. She’s absolutely wonderful! Val knows SIT, STAY and DOWN; loves her walks; rolls around and plays in the grass; is very well behaved in all the situations that she was tested in; rides calmly in the car; ignores cats and other animals; does not bark at or run towards other animals/people when inside or out in public places; very energetic but NOT hyper; potty-trained; was raised with children and small dogs; a perfect lady at all times, even when being groomed-cooperative with her mani-pedi appts.!! Have not tested her completely off the leash while walking in/around neighborhoods but highly suspect she would stay right by your side and not need restraining. Excellent behavior when left alone in the home. No barking, crying or disturbs anything in the home. She is a joy to be around, calm, obedient and loving. 3/23/2014

Lulu: (Dallas, TX) LULU is a 2-3 year old Saint/Border Collie mix who’s main goal is to please you, be petted on and cuddle. She is extremely good with kids and is playful with smaller dogs. Lulu is an all around good dog who needs a loving forever home. She is house broken, crate trained, Up to date with vaccines, spayed & is Heartworm positive and is currently on the slow kill heartworm method. 3/23/2014

TANK: This GIANT MALE SAINT IS TANK and no other dogs has fit his name better than TANK. He is a love bug (albeit, Volkswagen BUG) but nonetheless a love bug! He was raised and lived with a single man until the man unexpectedly passed away – suddenly. Tank loves his foster family who has a strong male figure (whom he, Tank greatly respects). Although, giant, he is loving, a friendly fellow who thinks it is his job to protect the amazing family that is taken such wonderful care of him. Tank should lose weight and was obviously not exercised in the past few months while he was part of an Estate. Otherwise, we is a healthy strapping handsome fellow who needs a man’s touch (gentle, caring but FIRM). This dog is all MALE. He will be neutered and UTD on shots prior to being adopted. Please call Jen at 484.375.8052 to find out more about FABULOUS Tank, but ONLY IF YOU HAVE GIANT DOG EXPERIENCE and a loving home where he is a welcomed family member. Also, a strong big man who is a gentle giant himself, would be ideal in Tank’s mind and ours as well. He just knows nothing else. 3/22/2014

Buddy: Hi I am Buddy my friend Hanna and I walk onto a farm looking for a meal and someone to scratch a little behind my ear. Well we found a place that has been giving us some good food but cannot let us stay too long. Yes I know I need a bath (or maybe two) but a guy gets little dirty running the woods. If you are looking for a friendly loving guy than I am the one for you. 3/17/2014

Justin: is an absolutely lovely dog that is looking for an active family to keep him company and make him an indoor dog! We are unsure about cats but a female sister would be awesome, although he has shown no aggression towards either. 3/16/2014

Come meet this special Saint and take home a wonderful companion. 3/11/2014

Roger: is around two years old and what a handsome and great guy he is. Roger loves to play, give loves and gets along great with other dogs. He came in with fellow rescue, Roma, and was very gentle around her. Don’t wait for the pictures of Roger, come visit and play with him now, you won’t be able to resist him. 3/11/2014

Leo: this guy is a very special 18 month old saint. He loves people and especially children from infants on up. He went to an adoption event and he loved the kids who were laying on him, hugging him and cuddled up beside him. He likes cats, other dogs and loves to run around and play. His previous owner said he would watch over the small ones in the house making sure they were ok. We can believe that after seeing him in action at the adoption event. 3/11/2014

Moose: Hi! My name is Moose though a more appropriate name might be Shadow because I like to follow my foster family everywhere they go. I came to ISBR from a high kill shelter in Northern Illinois, where I was picked up as a stray. The wonderful vet used by ISBR is guessing me at 12-18 months old. I am neutered, UTD on shots and a quick learner who is easily motivated by treats. I am learning the basic commands and am easy to walk on a leash. I’ve been told I’m very good at meeting strangers. I haven’t been around cats so not sure if I care about them one way or the other. I am very athletic and am able to jump dog fences in the house as well as the four foot fence in my current backyard. I’m not running away from home. Sometimes I just like to play with the dog next door as well. I look forward to having a permanent forever home where I know I’ll be taken care of and loved for a long time. 3/9/2014

Ziggy: is 5 yo Male Saint. He is UTD, neutered and HW negative. Crate trained and house broken, very friendly with all people he has met. He needs a loving Forever Home. 3/8/2014

Hanna: Hi I am Hanna my friend Buddy and I walk onto a farm looking for a meal and someone to scratch a little behind my ear. If you are looking for a friendly loving girl than I am the one for you. 3/7/2014

Breezy: Hello my name is Breezy I am 7 to 8 years old and I came to this rescue with my daughter Sunshine when our mom passed away. I am looking for a soft place to nap inside with a walk every now and then. If you are looking for a gentle soul to be your best friend than I am the one. 3/7/2014

Josi: This petite cutie was rescued from the local animal shelter. Josi is a sweet girl who loves being loved. She is only 85 lbs. so she could stand to gain about 15 lbs. She knows sit and will give you her paw as well as her belly for belly rubs! 3/5/2014

Lilo: Lilo is a beautiful 3-4 year old Saint Bernard. She was part of a cruelty case but that hasn’t stopped her from being very friendly and loving. She is fully vetted and waiting to find her forever home. She is to be an indoor dog ONLY as we never want her to have to live like she did before. She deserves better than that. A soft doggie bed would be a plus to make her happy. 3/4/2014

Noelle: is a beautiful Great Pyrenees with a very dainty face. She’s is between 3-4 years old. She adores people but right now is not very friendly with other dogs. Although we are working with her on this issue she would be better off being an only dog. Noelle is light heartworm positive and will not be available for adoption until mid February but we are taking applications now for her. 3/4/2014

Chloe: This gorgeous baby girl is as good as they come. The only reason she is in rescue is because the owners don’t have the time for her and it’s hard for them to exercise her. They want this terrific dog to be placed in an active loving home with another dog to play with and a family that has experience with saints. Chloe is great with kids, cats, and other dogs and is only 1 1/2 yrs old. All this perfect girl is missing is a loving home who has time to devote to her socially, physically and emotionally. Please call Jen at 484.375.8052 to find out more about FABULOUS CHLOE! Please note that we have a waiting list for puppies. She needs a new loving home where she can be part of the family. Better pictures are forthcoming. She is the dog on the left in each photo. She is sweet, calm and UTD/spayed. 3/2/2014

Elsa: was a stray found up in Northern Illinois. She went to local animal control and when no one claimed her ISBR stepped in to change her. She is roughly two years old. Elsa is very sweet and loves attention. She gets along with her foster brothers and sister as well as the cats. She’s a young, spirited girl who loves to play, and loves her chewy bones. She is underweight but is eating well and trying to remedy that problem. Elsa is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Elsa knows simple commands, like sit, and outside, and will shake hands for a treat. She is a great passenger in a car and usually just sleeps for the duration of her travels. 3/1/2014

Grunt: is a transfer from another shelter. He was not showing well and so they asked ISBR to step up and help him out. Grunt was an owner relinquish due to personal reasons on the owners part not Grunts. Grunt is house trained, loves everyone he meets. This sweet boy is 7 1/2 years old and loves being a house dog! He enjoys car rides and will want to go at any given moment. He does not realize he is considered middle aged and acts 3 years. Kisses, kisses, kisses, don’t you want Grunts KISSES? 3/1/2014

Henry: ATTENTION NORTHEAST! About Henry. Henry is a wonderful 1 and 1/2 year old St. Bernard. He is grateful for the big hearts that brought him here all the way from a shelter in Utica, NY to find the perfect family to provide for his special needs. Nicknamed Hippo, our Henry has hip dysplasia, but functions well with his daily medications. He currently takes a prescribed pain reliever, glucosamine and fish oil to keep him comfortable. Henry has an upcoming appointment to see a specialist to find out what his short and long term needs are, but expect a minimum of daily medications and a light diet to be necessary. Henry has no problems getting up, or managing a few stairs, but would appreciate not having to climb too many. Henry is great in the car, but he will need help getting in and out when he gets to enjoy a nice ride. He walks funny because of his bad hips, but is a champion on his leash and loves the crunchy fall leaves and being outside in the snow. He is also mending an ear infection and is very cooperative for taking his pills and getting his ears cleaned. Hippo currently lives with his foster mom and her pit bull terrier in a tiny one bedroom apartment, so don’t let his 120 pound size fool you into thinking your house isn’t big enough for him. We also have no fenced yard, but a few short daily walks are all the exercise he really needs. Although He has lived with dogs and cats, Henry needs to be separated at meal times to avoid any problems over food and would prefer a low-key or an older dog if he were to have a canine companion. He barks at new visitors, but makes friends quickly and is very good with children who are respectful of him. Although Henry will need a lot of extra TLC, he comes well equipped with exceptional leash manners, a solid sit on command, house broken and very well behaved indoors when left alone. Henry also comes neutered and up-to-date on routine vaccinations. 2/23/2014

Stitch: Stitch is a gorgeous, rough coat 15-18 month old puppy. He came to us with his mom Lilo. . He was part of a cruelty case and was kept in a tiny kennel. He is ALL puppy. He has no manners. He will jump on you out of excitement when he sees you. BUT, he has also come a long ways. He will now sit for a cookie and take it gently and loves belly rubs. He needs an owner who can spend time with him and teach him how to be a good dog. 2/23/2014

Baby Belle: came to us with her mother Sara Belle. She’s around 2 years old. She also spent the last 2 months of her life outside and we will require she be an indoor dog. She’s a very sweet, playful pup and will do well with a family. 2/23/2014

Brandon Lee: and Anna Nicole: are a bonded pair in Jacksonville, NC that need a foster ASAP and a forever home. They are great with other dogs, cats, kids, and adults. Their owner had a lung transplant and now her body is rejecting it and her family contacted us a begged that the dogs get a good home. We are sad for their owner and they have not been a priority obviously since their owners has gotten ill and rejected her lung. Anna Nicole and Brandon Lee’s mom wants/pleas that they get a home where they are loved and cared for. They are great dogs and fully vetted and spayed/neutered. They are between 4 and 5 years old, which as any saint owners knows is a great time. The are still playful but out of puppyhood. Is there a family out there that can provided a woman’s last wish that her dogs have a good home to live out the rest of their lives with? If so, please call us at 484.375.8052. Even if you want to foster or only transport the dogs to us or to a foster. We would appreciate any help to help this woman and give her peace of mind that her baby bears are being cared for. Any saint owner knows the fear of: "what would happen to them, if something happened to me?!" Thank you so much. 2/23/2014

BANDIT: B.D. 1-1-13 Is a young boy who usually warms up quickly with other dogs.. He would be a great family dog with other dogs and or kids. He is in a foster home with other dogs and as you can see from the pictures, he is a big, goofy, young boy that wants to play! Keep him in marrow bones or similar things and that should keep him from chewing on Inappropriate things. 2/19/2014

Molly: was a stray and was rescued by the humane society who called WSBR to help her. She seems to be a very sweet adult St. She is very thin, but loves to eat and chew on bones. She was treated for skin issue and ear infection and spay. She would make a great addition to your family! Contact us for more info on Molly. 2/19/2014

Precious: is a fun gal who should be the only pet in the house. She has canine playmates that she enjoys doggie wrestling with and loves to receive affection from her human pals. But she is better as the only dog in the home where is can gobble up all the love. She can show jealousy with other dogs, but that can be corrected with training and a person with big dog experience. She walks fairly well on leash and also knows several commands already. Precious loves all kids, but may get along with some other pets. She is really cute and tugs at your heartstrings. 2/15/2014

Aspen: is a 5 year old female Saint Bernard. She’s has a very delicate face and not a drooler. She’s very calm and sweet and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She’s great with kids. She came from a very loving home and had to be surrendered due to owner losing his place. 2/14/2014

Big Bertha: is around 18 months old and is a Saint mix. She is a bundle of energy, very affectionate, has a great disposition and seems to always be happy. She will sit, wrap her front legs around your arms and look up at you with her beautiful eyes just asking you to love on her and play some more. Big Bertha is not big, she is a more petite girl at around 80 pounds. She also loves playing with her fellow rescue pals. 2/13/2014

Thunder: is estimated to be 3 years old. He came in as a stray and we are starting to see Thunder’s personality bloom. He is a true gentle giant, playful, affectionate and smart. He really enjoys his walks, is great on the leash and gets along with the other dogs he goes on walks with. Thunder is going to make someone a great companion. 2/13/2014

Sunshine: Hello my name is Sunshine I am 4 to 5 years old and I came to this rescue with my mom Breezy when our mom passed away. If you are looking for a best friend to always be by your side than I am the one. 2/13/2014

Kenya: is a smaller 6 year old female Saint Bernard and was only 80-90lbs when she came to us. She LOVES people wants to be with people and wants to please people. She is having to learn how to properly meet new dogs; which she is doing much better at. She ignores the cats completely but may chase if they were to run. She loves to ride in the car and hang out at work with us all day or relax in the yard with a canine friend. She would be a fantastic family dog as an only dog or with a family with other dogs with proper introduction. She is good indoors with or without a crate and sleeps through the night. She has been a joy to have with us and has learned everything we have presented to her very quickly. 2/12/2014

Cooper: I am Cooper! I was living all by myself outside. I am a 9 month old Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees and weight about 130 lbs. I have to be fixed. But I was so neglected that I have to be shaved too. There are metal rods in my matted hair and my tail may be broken. I am a great happy puppy otherwise. No one paid attention to be and hasn’t trained me. But I am very smart and so very willing to make a loving momma or daddy very happy. Just one day at the foster’s home, they taught me to sit. I just need someone who wants a great puppy to train and love. Due to my size, I need a foster and/or adopter with big dog experience. I get along with horses and dogs. Since I am so big and I am a puppy, I should only go to a home with old children. Please Please consider giving me a chance and a loving forever home. 2/12/2014

Conner: Our sweet boy is named Conner. He is a smooth coat Saint mix which we just found out. He’s neutered, about 3 years old and 120lbs. He needs to put on weight and be loved by a forever family. He is good with cats and dogs and is house trained. 2/12/2014

GRIZZLEY: he made it to rescue and has been neutered and UTD. He is ready for adoption Tuesday, Feb. 4th! He is all that we were told he was – AMAZING AND SWEET and curious and the typical cartoon version of a Saint Bernard sans the extra slobber and giant appetite! He is so kind and needing of affection after being dumped by his owner. He is a really charmer and I high quality Saint to boot. Pls Pls consider adoption this wonderful man and kind heart fellow who loves cats, ducks, kids, humans and other dogs. 2/9/2014

Gypsy: I am Gypsy and I have been put up for adoption and now need a new home. I am better off in a home with older children who can’t be knocked over or grab my food. 2/9/2014

Miss Dylan: (Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas) Meet little Miss Dylan, She is a 4 year old (smaller) harlequin Great Dane. Yes, we know she’s not a Saint Bernard, but all her foster brothers and sisters are! Dylan is very outgoing and trusting, and just loves to snuggle up to you on the sofa and watch a good TV show! Dylan is heartworm negative, spayed, up to date with all her shots, housebroken and is great with other dogs, cats, kids, and horses!! 2/7/2014

Tinkerbell: (Texas) Tinkerbell is an 11 month old Saint/Lab mix puppy. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is currently on Trifexis for heartworm and flea prevention. She is about 70 lbs, and loves children and playing with other dogs. Tinkerbell is housebroken, and knows how to use a doggy door. She is in need of a family to love and train her, and provide lots of time and attention. She is a cutie for sure! 2/7/2014

Roscoe: I was being dumped by my very insensitive owner who also threatened us to get this dog or he will dump him and not tell us where. A giant shout out was posted on Facebook and a hero stepped up and truly rescued Roscoe. Roscoe is five years old and get along with everyone. He has had a very hard five years and despite his horrible treatment, he is so very nice and sweet. He is a real smarty-pants and needs a very loving family to let him know the world isn’t all bad and that he is loved. He is very healthy and mellow and loves car rides and walks with someone who loves him. 2/3/2014

Snickers: and Nala: are lively, full of energy, playful two year olds! Snickers and Nala run in the yard all day. They love each other and they are great with kids. These gals are Saint Bernard/German Sheppard Dog mix. Both need further obedience training from an active family wanting a fun loving chick or two! They have had basic training and are very bright. Either of these gals would be terrific in a home with lots of children and/or access and perhaps the funds to take them to a doggie daycare to burn off that German Sheppard energy; which, btw, won’t last past their puppyhood. The laidback/lazy St. Bernard in them will take over soon enough. These gals can be adopted separately but would be good in a home with another large dog as a new sibling to run and play with during the day. Nala and Snickers aren’t good with small dogs or cats. They are just to big and active. But these two do love kids! 2/3/2014

Rocky: An animal officer for Wicomico Humane Society in Salisbury MD found this sweet sweet boy left in a backyard when the owner’s moved away. He was 93 lbs and in terrible shape. He is up to 103, and although still very thin, he is doing well. Rocky is his name, he is a neutered SMOOTH COAT who is a 8-10 yr old. Negative for heartworm, lyme, ehrlicchia. He is a doll, nice with dogs, and cats and a real love. The vet did bloodwork on him, everything was good but it showed he was anemic, she feels from being starved. This guy needs to be in a loving home to feed him and love him back to health. 2/3/2014

Titus: is a very sweet dog, he LOVES People!! gets along with other dogs, loves a car ride. He wants to be with People!! Will dig out of yards if left alone! if your outside, he is outside, if your in the house, he is in the house! The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of dog food. 1/31/2014

Dublin: is a friendly, well behaved well trained dog who does wonderful indoors and out. For 3 years old and 180#, He is mature, calm and loveable. Dublin does well with basic commands such as "sit" "down" and "wait". He is fairly well behaved off leash but run if he sees another animal and wants to play, With very little work he could do great off leash. Dublin is a very loyal boy and would prefer to be with his people at all times although he does well in his own environment he does not like kennels or boarding facility’s. He tends to get very worked up and stressed out there. He would do best in a home that had plenty of room and with parents that don’t mind lots of slobber. He does very well with older children and other dogs (Dublin loves to wrestle). As far as cats, he has been around them and will learn who "his" cat is if it’s in the family but over all he thinks they are food. Need Giant Breed Experience to be considered for adoption of Dublin. 1/29/2014

Poppy: is 2yr old smooth coat female that was released to us by her owner. She is a very sweet girl that loves meeting everybody and great with other dogs. Abby: My St. Bernard, Abby must be giving away. We have to move and she isn’t welcome. AKA register form is available to show where she was breed. She thinks she is your lap dog. She only weighs 123. She was the runt of litter of 5. Only has 1 white mark on her trunk of red. She maintained her Saint’s cap; It never blended into the dark on her head. She is in excellent health and has lived in a heat and air conditioned kennel. We never had Abby fixed, people wanted a puppy and my husband kept putting it off. She has beautiful body, face and teeth. Acts like a big baby raised with a beagle. She had beginner training and does listen to some commands. She will not leave your sight off a leach and is very smart and will do well with more training. She pretends to say something in your ear and gives very light, easy kisses shakes hands to. She drools only a little some days. Like I said my husband and I are loosing this home and we have to rent. Renters don’t want pets, only if they are little and can live indoor. We have rescued dogs and cats for 19 years and to give up any of these pets is like giving up my kids. She is still young and willing to learn. She deserves someone younger than us to run and play with and deserves only the very best. She was raised with cats (ignores them), loves her beagle companion but does not like little yappy dogs like rat terriers, Chihuahua…etc. I am also sending some pictures. I live in VA near Fredericksburg but I can drive as far to Maryland to bring her in. The sooner, the better for me. 1/28/2014

Sara Belle: is between 3-4 years old. She is very sweet and laid back. She has always been a house dog and due to unforeseen circumstances has spent the last 4 months outside. Grayson: He is very young, around a year old and is a wonderful boy! He gets along great with other dogs and cats and loves people! He is ready to find his forever family. 1/25/2014

Dutchess: This blue-eyed beauty is 6 month old. She is remarkable in personality too. The people who adopted her find that they just don’t have enough time to give her and have selflessly surrendered Dutchess to the rescue for us to find her a terrific home.1/25/2014

J-Lo: is a beautiful senior girl who really wants a loving home. She is a very sweet girl who adores people and is a big love bug. J-Lo is very well mannered in the home and has great leash manners as a bonus. She is looking for either an adoptive parent or a permanent foster home. There aren’t enough words to explain how much J-Lo wants a home again. When she was brought in, she curled up on her bed and became despondent. Please come meet J-Lo and give this girl a chance to win your heart. 1/22/2014

Princess: is three years old and a very loving girl. She is very playful, likes other dogs and really loves people. She’s between three and four years old and needs a home without children. 1/20/2014

Sabatian: I am Sabatian the puppy; I am 5 months old and need a loving forever home. I am terrific and need a responsible new mommy or daddy to help me grown into a kind, respectful and polite gentleman – true to my saint bernard heritage. I have a great heart and forgive the severe neglect that was bestowed upon me. I was locked in a cage and not fed enough food. Although I am healthy, i have no muscle mass and need a devoted parent to walk me every day and to take me to the vet for check ups. I also need someone who believes in good nutrient to bring me back to what God wanted me to be – which is a robust happy healthy male saint bernard. I am only special needs until a wonderful family rehabs me with yummy food for my tummy and therapeutic walks to built muscle. If you are willing to invest your love and devotion to me, you will have a faithful friend and protector for the rest of my long life. Are you willing to love me and make me a part of the family forever? 1/20/2014

Cooper: I am Cooper. I am 7 yrs old and this 3 1/2 yr old poodle is my brother. Our owner died and we were part of the estate and distribution, but no one in the family wanted us so we were surrendered to the rescue. We are fun and love everyone but we are scared and are confused. We don’t need to be adopted together, but golly, it sure would be nice to help us from being sad and confused. A Good Samaritan stepped up and contacted ISBR to help this scared boy. After many different car rides he finally ended up safe in our hands. He has proved to be quite the entertaining boy. He was sick for the first week we had him up soon recovered and is doing great. This sweet boy is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is doing great in his foster home with two little dogs who he usually ignores. He is crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He enjoys car rides and willing would go for them everyday if allowed. He will require basic obedience training after his adoption. He is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, micro chipped, rides great in the car, and loves to give kisses. Cooper is still a pup so we do recommend obedience training. 1/13/2014

Mariah: is a sweet 4 to 5 month female rough coat. We pulled her from a local shelter after she was found wandering the streets and her owners never came to claim her. Poppy: is a sweet young spayed Saint mix. We guess she might be mixed with Collie or Shepherd. She weighs 32 lbs currently, and is somewhat underweight. Poppy is housebroken, and loves to play.
