Ernie: Hello world! I know you’ve been dying to meet me. My name is Ernie and I am seeking out my forever soulmate(s). I am about 3 years old, very handsome, neutered and UTD on my vaccines. Up until recently, I have had a rough go of it. I spent six months in a crate, where people neglected to feed me correctly or treat my fleas which resulted in a nasty skin infection, loss of muscle mass and my hair falling out. A nice lady saved me and nursed me back to health. I have put on some weight (I LOVE food, it really motivates me) and my beautiful coat is returning. I know sit, lay down, stand and I am a big goofy love bug. I would appreciate a home that will let me snuggle on the bed. I need a home where I can be the number one and only dog, at least for now. I like kids but since I need some training, I would do best with conscientious teens. I am a little nervous, due to my past but once I meet you and you toss me treats, you’re my new best friend. I walk pretty good on a lead but need a Saint experienced handler who will commit to my training. An obedience class sounds like loads of fun. I need to spend some time in a safe space to learn that other dogs won’t hurt me and that I shouldn’t have to dominate them. Cats? No thank you. It’s likely that I won’t be a big fan of chickens either unless they are in my food bowl. My dream home is this; a family who will give me time to adjust to my environment—it takes me awhile to get used to new digs and a couple of days to get comfortable, a quiet home would be a plus, and a nice yard with a 6 foot fence. I really love my doggy door—that way I don’t have to bug you every time I need to go outside. I need someone who spends a lot of time at home. I love walks, car rides, I am very inquisitive and consider myself a champion counter surfer. I guess, I need some help with that..but…food!!! I have a big bark to help scare off the bad guys but I don’t use it randomly. Currently, I need someone to manage and guide me as no one from my past has really cared enough to teach me what I need to be a good canine citizen. With a little time and patience, I am ready to be your best friend. 12/30/2017

Bonnie: is a year old Great Dane, great with other dogs, very energetic, has separation anxiety, but seems to do better with another dog in the home to keep her company and a dog door to go in and out as she wants. Bonnie is great with kids too. 12/29/2017

Jenny: is a 2yr old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. She is vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped. Jenny is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, does well with other dogs, and rides great in the car. Being that she is young and still has spurts of energy we recommend obedience training.12/11/2017

Nanah: is 2yr old rough coat female that we rescued from her owner along with her brother Bandit. She is a sweet pup that’s fine with kids, other dogs, is house trained, loves belly rubs, loves to cuddle on the couch with you or keep you warm at night by sleeping with you, and she rides great in the car. Nanah is the sweetest girl just waiting for her forever home. We got her spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, bathed, ears and teeth cleaned9/12/11/2017

Bailey: Meet Bailey! Bailey came to us about a month ago, scared and in need of some serious TLC. She has made great progress since coming to us. The vet has estimated her age at about 5 years old but she acts more like she is 2 or 3. She is a more energetic Saint with a lot of get up and go. We nicknamed her Tigger because she bounces around like he does, especially when she needs to go outside. She is super sweet and loves people. She knows her basic commands but like a lot of Saints, she only does them when she wants to (or for a treat!), so she needs a family willing to work with her on her consistency. She is currently enrolled in obedience in Salem, OR for the next 5 weeks and anyone considering adopting her is welcome to attend a class with her and her foster. She is a quick learner and is working hard at doing what is asked of her. She is very strong and at times can pull hard on the leash. She needs someone with Saint Bernard experience or experience with a giant breed dog, who will provide her with consistency and gentle correction. She would do best with children age 12 and older, only because she would accidently knock little ones down. She lacks spatial awareness but she is learning to be more careful in her surroundings. She needs a home with a 6 foot fenced yard. Bailey needs to be an indoor/outdoor dog. She needs to be inside with her family, cuddling on the couch or bed, however, if you tell her no, she will lay close to you on the floor. She would do well with a family that is frequently home. She has done great inside when left alone, but her foster family has two male Saints to keep her company and she would do well with another younger dog of larger size that likes to play. She will go in a crate but she does not like it much. She loves to play tug of war with her foster brother. She enjoys quiet time, but loves to go on outings. She is great in the car. Bailey does well with her foster’s cat, but as a precaution they occasionally gently remind her to be nice to the kitty, even though she has never done anything to her. She is a great eater with no food aggression and takes treats from your hand gently. Bailey is full of life. Anyone who wants to share their love and make her their next sweet baby will get love back tenfold. Bailey is housebroken, microchipped, UTD on vaccines and spayed. 12/10/2017

SAMSON: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. He is 9 months old and raring to go! He has lived with other dogs and cats, good with kids, house trained, crate trained, and all around a great dog! We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise Idaho. Fenced yard required. All animals must be fixed. Apply to adopt at applic12/10/2017ation. 11/29/2017

Diamond: is a sweet six year old female. She is looking for either a foster home or an adoptive home. Diamond loves people of all ages and is a very sweet girl. She will need to be the only dog in the house.12/5/2017

Bride: is a very loving young lady. She has shorthair, a cute hospice ear marking and is just overall a beautiful girl. As you can see, she loves, loves, loves water. She prefers male dogs to play with and do they play but she also has a very quiet, gentle, cuddling and loving side. Bride also likes cats..12/5/2017

Sophie: is a 7 year old with lots of life and love to give. She gets along with other dogs and is okay with cats, but will chase if the opportunity presents itself. She loves walks, car rides, is housebroken. Sophie is spayed, microchipped and hw negative. 12/4/2017

Ozzy: 5 to 6yr old Saint/Great Dane mix, and maybe even have some lab in him because he loves the water. He is very sweet boy that I just couldn’t see spending the rest of his time in a shelter. He still has energy to play with other dogs but would also like to just cuddle with you. He is neutered, current on his vaccines and micro chipped and ready for his forever home.11/30/2017

Morvor: This little girl is Morvor. She is 9 months old and has had obedience training. She’s a very sweet girl! She’s up to date on shots. 11/30/2017

Brandi: is a 4-5 year old Saint Bernard mix who is soooo sweet! She is currently in foster with a chihuahua and a lab and does wonderful. She can be a little bossy with some dogs, so more submissive, or carefree dogs are best. She knows how to use the dog door and is house trained. Brandi is a very gentle soul and would love to lay at someone’s feet all day, go for a walk, eat a little, play a little and then cuddle some more. She loves water bottles and will chew shoes if they are left out 🙂11/29/2017

Vlad: is an almost 2 year old Great Dane, good with dogs and kids. 11/29/2017

Maisy: Amazing Maisy is ready for her forever home. After being abandoned at a shelter, thanks to OSBR donors, Maisy’s medical needs have been taken care of, her stitches are out and she’s ready to start her new life. Maisy is about 7 years old. She has lots of energy and loves to go on walks and would like a home that could give her at least one walk a day, preferably two. Maisy loves car rides. She likes baths but is not too fond of having her nails cut. When Maisy came to us, she was horribly matted, but she cooperated fully with all the grooming with no complaints. Maisy was very thin but she is starting to fill out nicely. She is a smart girl and walks well on the leash after the initial excitement has worn off. She knows basic commands but has selective hearing like a lot of Saints. She has been fine around her foster’s ducks and chickens, but she may need occasional reminders to leave them alone. She has been pretty mellow with all adults she has met. She met the foster’s baby nephew and was fine, but we would recommend that any kids in the home be older. She hasn’t had a lot of interaction with other dogs, but seems to be fine with well mannered dogs and doesn’t put up a fuss at the vet clinic around other dogs. She would do best with an even tempered dog; she seems to be leery of extremes—yappy dogs that challenge her or over exuberant puppies. Her vet thinks she is wonderful. She should have a nice secure fenced yard. She is housebroke, UTD on shots, HW negative, spayed and microchipped. 11/27/2017

Jackson: This handsome 3 yr old male needs a new home because his family left the country and were not able to take him.
Jackson is a big boy! He weighs 150 lbs. He is good with people including children. He has done well with med-large dogs, as well.
We will know more about him once we secure a foster home.11/17/2017

Abby: is a 1 to 1-1/2 year old girl who was running free until animal control picked her up. She weighs in at 72 lbs and is very underweight. Abby loves everyone and everything that she has met. All she wants to do is play and be with her people. She does need obedience training and help with the house breaking (she has had a couple of accidents). But she a fast learner and should have this mastered quickly.10/13/2017

Vera: Hi I am Vera, I am a 3 to 4 year old Mastiff mix and I weigh about 80 to 90 lbs. I was found wandering the streets of Jacksonville and now I am looking for a forever home. I am sweet and like other dogs and kids.
So if you are looking for a dog with a big head and bigger heart no need to look any further.10/13/2017

Beau: My name is Beau and I am a 4 year old (best guess) Great Pyrenees. I weigh about 90 lbs and I am underweight. I like other dogs and kids. If you have a warm bed, bowl of food and a place in your heart that needs a new friend than just give me a call. 10/13/2017

Fletcher: is a 14 month old Saint. He is not fully obedience trained but he is crate trained. He is walked twice a day and we have a large yard of 14 acres but I have to relocate to a small townhouse due to a divorce. I don’t want to give him up so I am looking for a foster home which I would pay for his expenses….(vet, food, etc.) He has had all of his shots and is scheduled for neutering in February. I have to move out by Dec 11/12/2017

Puff: is half St. Bernard and half Bull Mastiff. He is 165 lbs of pure powder puff. He is losing his home due to no fault of his own. His owner had him since a pup but due to family illness his owner is heart broken that he can no
longer give Puff the care that he needs. Puff is house broken, very well mannered and professionally trained. He will not eat his food until you give him the ‘go’ sign. He also knows and obeys ‘leave it’, and gives great high fives.
Puff is crate trained and his crate is included. Puff is not a guard dog. He is a lover of people, especially any one he thinks will give him a pet. He gets along with other animals and was rasied with children and grandchildren.
He especially loves to play with little boys. He is not food agressive, or agressive in any way. Puff is friendly, well behaved and well mannered. He’s an 8 years young, active dog who loves to walk. Puff is in good health.
He has all of his shots and excellent vet records. Due to his size Puff needs an experienced owner with Large Breed experience. As a thank you the owner would like to offer four large bags of his food. If you are interested in Puff please fill out an adoption application on our website. His adoption fee is 250.00 and a home check will be conducted. 11/6/2017

PUPPIES :::::: WE HAVE FLUFFY PUFFY POOFY PUPPIES! These babies were born on August 16, 2017 and are ready for their forever homes. They are Saint Bernard/Poodles, or Saint Berdoodles and there are 6 available. They have had their first two vaccines, are dewormed, and microchipped. These dogs will be big (estimated 120+ pounds). Puppies are a HUGE commitment. They require a lot of time and training and patience. If you don’t have the ability to do any of that, please don’t adopt one. Training with these puppies is a must. You do NOT want a 120+ pound dog that won’t listen to you. And these puppies are not fully potty trained so will need someone to let them out frequently throughout the day. We are currently accepting applications and will be screening them thoroughly to ensure potential adopters have the ability and time to manage a puppy. The adoption fee is $400. Apply to adopt at application. Fenced yard is a must and all animals in the home must be fixed. No exceptions to either so please don’t ask. We will 1) Accept applications, 2) Call veterinarians and references, 3) Do the home check, 4) If we approve you, you can then come meet the puppies, 5) Meet and Greet with all other animals, 6) Adoption. 10/26/2017

Scooby: BIG MYSTERY TO SOLVE! Scooby here. You may remember me, the timid bag of bones who came to hang with these ISBR folks. Well, I swear on my Scooby snacks that was just an act…I’m not scared, never have been, never will be. I’m happy and can hold my own. But I gotta say, I’m so glad everyone was nice…helped make my transition much easier. So, I’ve been chilling with my crew and the Mystery Machine, solving crimes of who stole my toys (It was my foster sister), but the mystery of who will adopt me hasn’t been solved yet. I’ve asked the DBI (Doggy Bureau of Investigation) to help out, but they are busy. Can you help? Here are the clues we know: I’m 2-3 years old, I eat a LOT, I love other dogs and insist on having one in my new home that I can play with, I’m amazing in the house when my people leave, I WILL sleep on your couch and/or bed (no, you don’t have a say in that), no babies for me (sorry girls!), and my background of mystery solving will follow me to my new home, so please let’s continue to go on adventures. 11/2/2017

Bear: Introducing Bear!!! Bear is an almost 3 yr old neutered s/h male. Bear has been living in a townhouse, and although it breaks his owners’ hearts, he really needs a house with a large yard, a 6 foot fence and a family with a more flexible schedule. Bear is smart—this summer he was a little bored (and probably needed to go outside) while his people were at work and popped the screen on the second story window and spent a little time exploring the townhouse roof. He also opened the window on a second event when it wasn’t completely latched and did the same thing. He has had a year of obedience training and knows all the basic commands. He is housebroken and is trained to ring a bell when he has to go outside. He is in great health, weighs about 125lbs and just loves people and still acts like a big puppy. He has been around cats, but will chase them if they run, so it may be best if he goes to a home with no smaller animals. Bear needs an owner who can set boundaries for him and provide him with consistency. He has “leash aggression” which means that he will lunge at other dogs while leashed, mostly with larger dogs—so he would be better off in an environment where he isn’t constantly exposed to dogs on leashes. He does well with most dogs but they need to be introduced in an open area off leash. He would probably do best with a female dog close to his own size. He can be protective with food and toys. He is good with kids but due to his size, teens would probably be better. He is UTD on vaccines, hw negative and microchipped. We would love to find Bear a home with lots of property to roam and an owner who is willing to continue his training. Bear is in the Portland area. 11/1/2017

Hercules: Meet Hercules! He just came into rescue this week so we are just getting to know this big guy. Hercules is about 9 years old but he is in great shape and doesn’t look his age. He is a shorthair and neutered. He’s a sweet guy that has a big bark, but he warms up to people quickly. He has been good with cats, mostly good with other non alpha dogs with slow intros—has lived happily with a female Saint, and is good with kids. Since he is an older boy, we will not be placing him with kids under the age of 12. He is housebroken, rides great in the car, loves marrow bones and stuffed toys. He is being rehomed because his owner lost their house. Love this boy! I11/1/2017

Hank: is a 14 MO Rough coat neutered male puppy. He is a big guy. 145pounds.He does very well on a prong collar and knows basic obedience. No small children only because of his size and being a big goof.
He is fine w/ cats and other dogs that will not let his size intimidate them.Experienced Giant Breed home only. Adopter must be be willing to use prong collar to continue/reinforce his training.10/31/2017

Mosby: SAY HELLO TO PUPPY MOSBY! Mosby is a 4-5 month old old border collie mix puppy.  Mosby is neutered, is vaccinated, has been dewormed, and microchipped. Fenced yard with a 6 foot or taller fence (no underground fences) is a must and all other animals in the home must be fixed. There will be zero exceptions to these requirements for Mosby so please don’t ask. Mosby is very energetic and would do best with another playful dog.  No children under 10 as the higher energy of smaller children is not a good mix for Mosby. Socialization will be very important for him and a puppy kindergarten class would be a great place to start! 10/30/2017

Tucker: Meet Tucker, our newest ISBR member! Tucker will be 2 in December, and man oh man is this guy FULLLLL of energy!!!! Tucker is great with other dogs and we will require he has another bigger, playful dog in his new home to play with and help keep his energy burned. Tucker is great with little kids and has grown up with one, but he is very much a puppy still and could easily knock down a little one down. Tucker will definitely need work on his leash walking, and although he has had obedience training, a refresher wouldn’t be a bad idea 🙂 Tucker is a great dog and has been very well loved and taken care of. Fenced yard is absolutely required for Tucker and all other animals must be fixed. No exceptions. We only adopt out to within a day’s drive of Boise, Idaho. 10/30/2017

Alley: is a beautiful 5 year old Saint Bernard, who absolutely ADORES PEOPLE!!!!!! We affectionately call her Tigger because she bounces and hops when she’s happy 🙂 Alley needs to be an only animal. We are working with her on her dog reactivity, but for now she needs to be the only one, and since she just went gopher hunting and showed us her amazing skills, definitely no small animals. 10/24/2017

Ozzy: is 5 year old Saint/Lab mix that we rescued from a local shelter. He is very sweet boy that I just couldn’t see spending the rest of his time in a shelter. He still has energy to play with other dogs but would also like to just hang out with you. He is neutered, current on his vaccines, micro chipped, house trained, loves the water, and ready for his forever home.10/16/2017

Bear: is a 1 yr old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter because her owners moved and couldn’t take her. She is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, and rides great in the car. She is vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped and we believe she is house trained. Being that Bear is a young girl we recommend obedience training.10/16/2017

Bandit: is 3yr old smooth coat male that we rescued from his owner along with his sister Nanah. He is a sweet mellow boy that’s fine with kids and other dogs. We got him neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, bathed, ears and teeth cleaned.10/16/2017

Daphne: Dropped off at the shelter by her owners, Daphne found herself in despair. She said to be a St. Bernard mastiff cross. However does that really matter? This little girl is very sweet, loves everyone, kids adults… She is good with other dogs, crate trained, knows basic obedience , and just wants a forever home for her own. 10/12/2017

Sadie: is a long hair saint who is 4-5 yrs old. She get’s along with other dogs, BUT NO CATS; Very gentle dog, has had training and walks very well on a leash, has great manners likes a car ride. loves a tummy rub and attention. Great with kids. The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of dog food. Our adoption fee is $400.00 and we are located in Reno, NV.. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. 10/11/2017

Daisy Lou: Dumped at a shelter with another dog from the same house DAISY LOU has rose above and landed in the caring hands of ISBR!
She is 3 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, started on heartworm and flea prevention. She is good with other dogs, but would prefer a low key submissive dog that doesn’t really care about anything.
10/10/2017

Amber: is truly one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met who only wants to be by your side and is so appreciated of loves and belly rubs. (Her fave!) Amber is curvy girl who is working on getting healthy by eating a gluten free diet, doing regular stair climbs and engaging in fun outdoor activities. She loves all people, her foster brother dog, and her two foster kitties. She would really enjoy to love the chickens from inside her belly but is learning to just watch them from afar. She is extremely smart and responsive to commands.10/6/2017

Bella: is a 4 year old Great Dane. Good with dogs, cats and kids.10/6/2017

Samoa: is estimated to be a 3 year old mixed breed. She was passed off as a “Saint Bernard puppy”, but she is actually full grown at about 40 lbs. She might be a Great Pyr/Aussie mix or something similar, but is much higher energy than a Saint. Samoa was feral upon her arrival into rescue, and then contracted Distemper at the shelter, so she has had a rough go of life. She has now learned that indoors is ok, and she is housebroken. Samoa likes other dogs, and is fine with cats and livestock also. She needs a very quiet home, with someone who is patient and will be willing to work with her to overcome her fear of leashes, cars, and many “normal” things in life. She is being fostered in the Houston area.10/6/2017

Molly: Good Golly Miss Molly! Molly is a BEAUTIFUL 4 year old long haired female. Molly is housebroken, good with kids, good with large dogs when slowly introduced. Molly’s foster mom says Molly is one of the nicest dogs she has ever met. She’s a big sweetheart and loves all the humans she has met. She is very quiet and calm in the house and wants to be around people all the time. Molly takes treats with a gentle mouth, is good on the leash and knows some basic commands. Molly’s previous owner stated that she does not do well with smaller animals. Chickens are a big no. Other dogs in the household should be about the same size. We are currently testing her with cats and we think it would depend on the cat. She definitely responds to the command “no cats”. She should be fed separate from any other dogs. She is a medium sized Saint, about 110lbs. She is really pretty and photos do not do her justice. She is currently fostered in Grants Pass. 10/5/2017

Titan: is 5 yr old smooth coat male that we pulled from a local shelter after he was turned in by his owners. When we picked him up he was very dirty and under weight. We got him neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped. Being that he was raised as an outdoor dog we have started his potty and obedience training. Titan is a sweet boy that loves meeting people and getting lots of attention.10/2/2017

Finn: is a 16month old Great Dane. He is being rehomed because his owner has had to move to an apartment and Finn needs more space. Gets along with other dogs and kids. Cats?? He is pretty calm, laid back and friendly. Finn has been well taken care of: he is neutered, had preventive gastropexy, utd on shots and microchipped. Finn is currently in the Beaverton area.10/2/2017

Fiona: This is Fiona! Fiona is a beautiful 3 year old long hair female. Fiona will need to go to a cat free home. She gets along well with most dogs although she can get a little jealous when she has to share attention. She is housebroken, rides ok in the car, she is playful with toys and dogs. She has been raised around kids, but she seems oblivious toward them and not overly affectionate toward them, so we would like her to go to a home with adults and teens. Fiona will need a Saint experienced handler as she still needs some training focused on consistency and structure. Fiona will need to be spayed before being available for adoption. 10/2/2017

Romeo: My name is Romeo. I am a l/h neutered male who just turned 3 years old. I am looking for a new home because my family lost their housing. I am UTD on shots and micro chipped. I was raised with kids ages 9 and up. I am housebroken, good with other dogs in the household, and like car rides and chew toys. Not sure about cats or livestock. I have had some obedience training. I have a little chronic dermatitis that will probably straighten out with some good food and proper flea prevention. 10/2/2017

Max: This is Max he 1-1/2 to 2 years old and is a very energetic playful boy. So much so he cannot go into a home with small children (just is too rambunctious). Max does need rules and boundaries and someone who will take the time to put him through training. If you are willing to commit to that than you will end up with a great dog. If not you will have an obnoxious teenager on your hands and neither of you will be happy.10/2/2017

Panda: is a 1 1/2 year old beautiful female Saint Bernard. She is amazing with other dogs and we insist she go to a home with another playful dog. She’s even good with cats, and adores children. Panda is literally a perfect dog. She came to us as an owner surrender and we thought she would have to have both Achilles Tendons surgically repaired, but luckily after some laser therapy, that fixed the issue! Panda is incredibly happy and playful. Fenced yard required. All other animals in the home must be fixed. 9/28/2017

Carter: (male) – This is Carter he is 125 lbs two year old Saint that came into our rescue due to a divorce. Carter gets along with other dogs, big people, little people but not sure about cats. Carter would do best in a home that has another dog that he could be buddies with. He is brother to Bear & Bella.9/27/2017

Jasper:This sweet 3 year old boy was relinquished by a family who dearly loved him. Through circumstances out of their control Jasper landed in ISBR looking for his forever home. He’s is a great dog al around. Sweet, good with kids, dogs, strangers, nothing short of amazing. Want to give this boy a forever home? 9/20/2017

Bella: is a darling one year old female longhaired St. Bernard, although she has been shaved down by her previous home.Bella was rescued from Craig’s List with Tobi, however, we are not placing them together.
Bella is on the small side but she does have a big bark! Very loving girl.
9/20/2017

Toblerone: is a handsome two year old male longhaired St. Bernard, however, he was shaved down by his previous home. Toblerone was rescued off Craig’s list with Bella, however, they do not have to be adopted together. Tobi (as we are calling him) does have some energy, and he is a strong boy. He loves people, and rides well a vehicle. 9/20/2017

Amelia: Introducing Amelia! Amelia is 1 ½ year old spayed shorthair female who is as sweet as they come. She has been good with everyone she meets and kids, dogs and cats. She is a very easy dog to live with. She is housebroken and rides well in the car. She enjoys chewies, toys and the kiddy pool. Currently fostered in Bend. 9/19/2017

Grissom: Hello this is Grissom his dad got into a motor cycle accident and cannot care for him any longer. What we were told is Grissom is a small Bernese Mountain dog. What he looks like is a Sheltie or Australian Shepard your guess is as good as mine. What I do know for sure he is sweet gets along with everyone (dogs big & small, cats and all people). He weighs in at 72 lbs and knows basic commands. So if you need a buddie to sit and watch movies all day here you go.
9/15/2017/2017

Zeus: is a 4 year old male that came into to our rescue when he was dropped off at a local shelter. He is a tall guy standing 31′ to 32′ at the shoulder. Zeus weighs 113 lbs and is very underweight, but that is his only health issue. Zeus has meet everyone (dogs and cats included) very nicely he is just looking for a friendly home to call his own. 9/15/2017/2017

Gus: This is Gus a 20 month old Saint Bernard puppy. Gus weighs in at about 120 lbs and is in rescue trying to learn some new rules and basic training. He can only go to a new home that does not have any other dogs as he does not tolerate them at all. Also the new home cannot have any young children as he is just too energetic to be around small children. Once you get past those things what you have a is very happy playful bug puppy. 9/15/2017/2017

Tank: is an 18 month old boy who has had four homes already in his short life. Tank came into our rescue and just wants to play, eat, sleep and play some more. Tank does have some issues with his back hips and we are working with the vet on the best course of action for him. 9/15/2017/2017

Sabra: is a 2-1/2 year old English Mastiff who was turned over to our rescue when dad had back surgery and could not care for her any longer.
Sabra is a sweet and loving girl who does not know how big she is. So when she leans on you, you will move backwards. 9/15/2017/2017

Loki: will be two years old June 2017; he weighs in at 165 lbs but should lose 10 to 15 lbs (too much laying around all day). Loki gets along with other dogs, cats kids. He just wants to be near his people. We are working on leash manners and basic commands, so far so good. If you are looking for a big mush ball of a dog here he is. 9/15/2017/2017

Annie-2: is an 11 month old sweet, energetic puppy who has never meet a stranger. She had a long drive up to North Carolina from Mississippi and now that she is rested she is ready to find her forever home. 9/15/2017/2017

Bear: & Bella: Bear (female) yah bad name but she does have freckles on her nose & Bella: (female) no freckles – This is Bella & Bear both are about 105 lbs two year old Saints that came into our rescue due to a divorce. Bella & Bear both gets along with other dogs, big people, little people but not sure about cats. Bella & Bear would do best in a home that has another dog that they could be buddies with. They are sisters to Carter. 9/15/2017/2017

Raylan: & Delilah: are litter mates that came into our rescue, we belive that they are Doberman / Catahoula mix. They are where born about April 1st. Raylan, merle male weighs in at 27 lbs Delilah, Black & Tan female weighs in at 22 lbs They are spayed and neutered, up to date on all shots and are looking for a loving home that will teach them to be good dogs. So if you are looking for a new little buddy here they are.9/15/2017

George: This is George, he is a 2.5 year old ball of fun. He is a great fit where ever he would land. Email for more details. 9/14/2017

Marta: Our little girl Marta arrived Tuesday 3/28 from South Korea, she is such a sweet heart, well mannered, house and crate trained, great with other dogs, and she is a saint/cocker mix that weighs 37.6lb and is 2 to 3yr old so she is full grown. Marta has the markings and temperament of a saint and a small body of a cocker, so she is perfect for someone that has always wanted a saint in a small body. She was pulled from a shelter in SK by a local rescue there and put into a foster home until they could find a rescue in the US. She is a little shy at first meeting but warms up quickly, and being she is tiny we recommend children 10 and older. Marta is current on her vaccinations, micro chipped but still needs to be spayed which will occur after she is cleared by the vet from heartworms. She was treated in SK for the heartworms but it takes months before they are all gone. We believe she will be ready for her forever home in July.9/11/2017

Riley: is a 3 yr old smooth coat female that her owners could no longer care for. She is spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Riley is sweet mellow girl that’s great with kids, other dogs and is house trained. She loves attention, walks, car rides or having play dates with other dogs.9/11/2017

Kinsey: is a 4 ½ year old spayed Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. Kinsey is being re-homed for a third time due to housing issues. She has been around kids, but due to her size would probably do better in a home with respectful children over the age of 10. She has been good with cats and other dogs, housebroken, likes car rides and attention, and has some obedience training. Kinsey can take awhile to warm up to new people and tends to bark at newcomers to the house, but settles down quickly. She does require an adult experienced with large breeds for walks as she has been overly protective when her kids walk her. 9/11/2017

Leeia: and Kona: have come in to rescue due to their owner losing their housing. Leeia is a cute 5 year old smaller l/h female in great shape. She is housebroken and has great manners. She really attaches to her people and doesn’t wander too far. She understands some commands and comes when called. Being a mature gal, she doesn’t have too much patience with the foster’s resident rowdy puppy, so if adopted into a home with other dogs, she would probably do best with an older male dog. Kona is a 1 ½ year old s/h male. He’s a great big goof ball who still acts like a puppy. He is housebroken but is still learning adult dog house manners. He is also very attached to people. He is okay with other dogs but gets bored quickly and goes and takes a nap. He is a very attractive, strong muscular boy. Neither dogs bark much and both do well on a leash, although Kona does still pull some. Both ignoring the resident chickens, but not sure about other livestock. We would like to have them adopted as a pair as they seem very fond of each other. Due to their size we would recommend kids be 10years or older. Both dogs are still being vetted and will be spayed/neutered, utd on shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. They are currently fostered in southern Oregon. 9/11/2017

Max: and Parker: are a 2 year old bonded pair of Saints surrendered to the rescue. They are good with dogs, cats and kids.9/9/20177

Luna: is just the sweetest baby ❤️ She loves people and has done well with other dogs! She has the most soulful eyes. I dare you not to fall in love! Luna is house trained and not destructive when left alone. She needs help o into the car, it’s like she hasn’t ridden in one much. She will be spayed next week, vaccinated, microchipped and then will be ready to go. Fenced yard required and all animals in he home must be fixed. 9/9/2017

Trinity: In need of foster/adoptive home Trinity was being given away for FREE at a garage sale 5/20/17. She is missing a back leg, was dirty and smelly but VERY SWEET and loving. Was given birthdate of Nov 21, 2014. She loves children (she just met) as you can see in pictures.9/7/2017

George: is a 2yo M/n rough coat. His owner turned him into rescue because he did not get along w/ her older small “ grumpy” male dog.
He is great w/ females. He and Lilly have become play time friends. 7/12/2017

Lilly: is 2.5 yo Female spayed smooth coat. She is a shy girl and needs help building her confidence.9/52017

Zoey: was estimated by Austin Animal Services to be almost 1 yr old, but we’re guessing she’s closer to 18 months. She is a big puppy. Loves to play and chew!!! HW NEG. Spayed and sweet. Here’s a couple of pics. Zoey is being fostered in the Houston area. 9/5/2017

Abner: Sweet Abner! Approximately 3 years old will be turning four later this year. He loves people. Need s car ride companion? He’s in…. Someone to warm your lap, couch or bed? He is IN…. Abner does require a home with no child under 12. He is a great dog, walks nicely on a leash but also listens well off lead. He enjoys sitting outside on the deck hanging with his people or just enjoying the weather. He is good with other dogs , but would prefer to be your one and only. 8/26/2017

Yogi: Hi, I’m Yogi! I’m about five years old, and I’m looking for my forever home. If you’re looking for a couch potato, I’m your man! Snoozing on a soft couch or bed is my favorite thing to do… alllll day. I’m a serious kind of guy – not super silly, and I won’t knock you over with a constantly wagging tail. But don’t let the sad face fool you; I love to play with my people outside and I LOVE a good scratch-down! I’m pretty neutral toward other dogs and cats – I don’t really care if they’re there or not. I’m good with kids, but laid-back or older kids would probably be best for me. Too much commotion wears me out! I’m currently taking medicine twice a day for thyroid issues and a seizure history, plus supplements for my skin and coat. I take my pills very nicely with a treat! I’ll even sit if you tell me to. Are you my forever person? 8/26/2017

Gilligan: My name is Gilligan and it is fitting as I was deserted in what I thought was my home. The cat and I ended up spray painted green and left behind. But not long were we stranded and we landed at a shelter safely. The shelter contacted these great people at ISBR and then I took a voyage across a few states and landed here in Il. Now that I’m here I’ve been vetted and I am all ready for my forever home. Is that you? Would you like it to be? I’m said to be about 6-7 years old. I’m house trained , great with dogs, cats and kids. I walk nicely on a leash and speaking of that I have a limp. I’m on pain meds which helps but the limp is from an old fracture in my elbow. I had my X-rays checked out by an orthopedic doctor and he said that I wasn’t really a surgical candidate because it most likely wouldn’t help the limp. So I limp. I still play, I walk, I do stairs I live a normal life but I limp. 8/26/2017

Buck: is a neutered long haired male St. Bernard. Buck came to us from a shelter so we are not sure about his age and are estimating between 1 ½-2 ½ years old. Buck still has a lot of playful puppy qualities; the inquisitive head tilt and exuberant wiggly body when he is happy. Buck can not go to a home with chickens (Yummy! In his defense, he was lost, starving and matted and seemed to have been fending on his own for some time), birds, or cats— other livestock, we are not sure but wouldn’t recommend. So far he is doing ok around the other dogs he is fostered with—but would do best as the center of attention. He will need to meet any children or other dogs in the family prior to placement. Buck is very happy and his foster says he is a sweet boy. He loves the water and likes to play in the kiddy pool, enjoys squeaky toys and balls, car rides, cookies and attention. He is looking for a person to bond with. Buck needs go to a home who has had Saint Bernards in the past, and is willing to work with him on socialization. Potential adopters must have at least a 6 foot fence and we would prefer to place him in a suburban setting where he has less of a chance of seeking out chickens. He is currently fostered in Medford area. He is UTD on shots and microchipped. 8/24/2017

Bear: is a handsome boy with that beautiful red coat. He is very affectionate and a real Velcro dog. Bear came in with Bella but she has already found her home. Both were in such sad shape, hair missing, skin problems from fleas, skinny, and craving affection. Bear still needs some more weight but he is filling out nicely and has a full coat of shiny hair now.8/7/2017

BOOMER: MEET BOOMER! Boomer is the sweetest boy and loves everyone 🙂 He gets along great with other dogs, and although he is interested in new cats, he has lived with them and done fine. Boomer is a 6 1/2 year old Great Dane. He is still fairly active and would enjoy another dog to play with, but it’s not a necessity. He could lose a little weight too so regular walks would be great. Boomer is just a doll baby and anyone who ends up with him will be extremely lucky. 8/6/2017

MAIA: & APOLLO: INTRODUCING MAIA AND APOLLO! These sweethearts came to the rescue yesterday and are settling in easily. Maia is 2 years old, shorthair. Apollo is a 3 year old shorthair. So far they have done amazing with other dogs, people and even kids. They are house trained too. Both will be fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to adoption. We tried separating them, but Maia got very vocal and let us know her displeasure at that. Therefore, they really need to be adopted together. 7/24/2017

Elle: Introducing Elle! Elle is an 11 month old female Saint Bernard that came to us from a shelter. She was dumped there by her owner who said she was blind, deaf and aggressive and wanted her euthanized. Elle is blind, but we think that she can see some light and dark. We do not know if the blindness is a result of neglect, abuse or a birth defect. Elle is not deaf, although her ears were very infected. Elle, being blind, can be defensive in some situations, mostly with other dogs. We feel that Elle was a very pampered puppy at one time: she likes to cuddle, lay in your lap, she eats off a spoon, she wants someone to go with her out in the dark. We think that she came across some bad times where she was confined, intimidated and perhaps surrounded by dogs that scared her. Elle won’t be available for awhile but we wanted to show you this lovely girl. Elle is in a foster home in Oregon where we are working on socialization. She needs to gain some weight (only 74lbs!) and she will need to be spayed before we can consider placing her in a home.7/24/2017

Pablo: My name is Pablo. I’m one of the new additions to Oregon Saint Bernard Rescue. I am an 8 year old longhair male. I’ve been an outdoor dog most of my life, so I am just learning some house manners. As you can see in the picture, I am pretty okay with it. I like other dogs, as long as they don’t challenge me and have been good with the ladies. I am definitely not a cat-person. No way. I’ve been around kids, but I’m getting up there in years, and it would probably be best if there were no little ones around on a regular basis. I’m also not too fond of vets with hypodermic needles. They freak me out. I like car rides, walks, baths, being brushed and petted. I know basic commands like sit, lay down and stay. The nice folks at rescue are going to put me on some high quality grain free food, fix up my icky nose, work on my allergy and skin neglect issues, and get me neutered. I’m really looking forward to that! I could really use some joint supplements to keep me on the move. If you are interested in helping me out, Oregon Saint Bernard Rescue has an Amazon Wishlist that you can order from. They would like me to go on Cosequin DS. (You can find this under Your List/Find list or Registry/enter: Oregon Saint Bernard Rescue). Currently, I am in foster until I get all fixed up.7/24/2017

Hunter: My name is Hunter (Hunt). I am a neutered long haired male, just a little over a year old. I love car rides and walks and am pretty easy going. I am housebroken, good with cats and other dogs I have been exposed to. I was raised with kids, so I know little people. My family was forced to give me up because they lost their house and do not currently have a place to live. I am currently fostered in the Corvallis area. 7/23/2017

Millie: Let me introduce you to sweet Millie. Millie is a hound mix of some sort. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. Millie is great with other dogs and is really coming out of her shell at her foster home. They’re working on finalizing her house training, as well as crate training her. She came from an accidental litter in Amish country, However she is not an Amish bred dog. Millie is microchipped and completely vetted and ready for her new forever home. Being a puppy she’s roughly 7 to 8 months old, she will be required to go through basic obedience. She does have entropian that may or may not require some extra care after she is fully grown. Would you like to add the sweet girl to your forever family? If so please fill out adoption application at Saintrescue.org To start our process. 7/23/2017

LUCY: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. She is an approximately 5-6 year old gal who was rescued from a really bad situation. However, in meeting her you would never know that anything bad had ever happened to her in her whole life. She is joy personified! She loves and loves and loves some more. AMAZING with other dogs and loves to play, but can get a little jealous if there is only one person and more than one dog…she can absolutely live with other dogs, will just need to watch the jealousy. Lucy is house trained, loves car rides and cuddles, and wants nothing more than to be with her family forever and cuddle until the end of time. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. 7/22/2017

Sam: is a 6 1/2 year old DEAF Great Dane. He really is just amazing! He lives with two other dogs and loves them to pieces and cuddles with them every chance he gets. Sam’s foster has brought him to a few events and Sam just adores meeting everyone and letting them love all over him. He gets excited meeting new dogs too and loves to play. Sam would do best in a home with another playful dog. He does know some hand signals, and comes to a flashing light at night. Sam is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. 7/22/2017

Sadie-3: is a loving girl who is looking for her forever home. She is good with other dogs and all people. She came to our rescue when she was picked up as a stray and her first new home just could not keep her any longer. So if you are looking for a sweet bundle of love, here she is. 7/13/2017

Miss Boo: Returned through no fault of her own Miss Boo is back up for adoption. She is great with kids, cats and other dogs (who are submissive). She is house trained and walks nicely on a leash. Current on vaccines and on preventatives she is ready for her forever home. 7/10/2017

Andi: is a 12 year old gal who has NOT had an easy life. She was relinquished to ISBR after living in a chain for the last 8 years. NO vet care, NO vaccines, NO grooming, NOTHING . Food and water was what she had. Well this ole ladies life has changed. She is living the life of a spoiled house pet and being pampered to the nines. She is house trained , fine with other dogs, cats, kids, car rides, loves dog beds, pork chomps (roasted only) Denta sticks, dog cookies, people food… she is just happy her life has changed. She is DEAF, and heartworm positive, and has a huge mass in one of her ears. She has a weak hind end from not using her muscles or being able to move around. She is getting stronger everyday. What a love !!! 7/9/2017

He is a sweet goofy pup that loves attention, seems to be house trained, good with other dogs and did great riding in the car. Flynn is vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped. We have started him on his obedience training but being he is young boy we recommend children ten or older only.6/27/2017

Princess: This is Princess-2 she is a young energetic girl who likes to run around and play with kids and other dogs. She will need a home with older children as she does not know her size. Princess also comes to us with bad hips, which need to be taken care of once she stops growing and gets to her adult weight. Until than she will be happy playful addition to your home.6/27/2017

Bonnie’s: time at the shelter came to an end and her people never showed up to get her.So on her last day one of our volunteers was able to pull her and get her out of there.Bonnie is 4 to 5 years old severally underweight that’s the bad news. The good news she loves anyone with two legs, young old big small it does not matter. She just is not good with the ones with four legs.Bonnie is current on all shots, heartworm negative and has been spayed so she is good to go to her new home.6/26/2017

Roxy: Long Hair suppose to be 5yr old, but she is small and has seem to eaten the Energizer Bunny! She acts more like a 1 yr old. She can also dig out of a yard in under a second. She needs her vet work done and rear dew claws removed She will be ready for a new home in Jan.6/25/2017

Jordan: is a very small Saint, she weighs 80-90 lbs. Pippi Longstocking: My name is Pippi Longstocking and I am a sweet, s/h mature 6 yr girl looking for a place to spend the rest of my life. I am housebroken and I am good about letting you know when I need to go outside. I am a bit of an early bird, I go to bed around 8 p.m. and don’t need to go out until 10am the next morning. I know commands like sit, down, stay (mostly) and hand signals as well. I walk well on a leash. I love kids but since I am getting older, I will need a special place to retreat when I want some alone time. I would love a family that will take me everywhere, love me and play with me. I like to eat alone, I am a bit shy and I don’t want an audience. I am not too fond of water, other than to drink and I love to drink from the faucet. My owners think I am the sweetest dog they have ever met, but their lives are changing and they want me to have more fun than they can provide. 6/20/2017

Elsa: (Waiting for Foster/Adoption) – 3yr old female, whose elderly owners just do not have the ability to care for her the way Elsa deserves. Elsa has always been an inside dog her whole life, and it is very important that her forever home keep her as an indoor dog. She does well at the dog park and also did well with another dog in her home, but she is probably not as socialized as she should be. In her current home, Elsa has an electric containment fence in the yard and doesn’t cross the boundaries, but she does bark at people walking on the sidewalk. She is up to date on her shots, has not been aggressive in her current situation, and does not do stairs according to her owner. They’re note sure how she would be with cats. She also has not really been exposed to children, but if there children around, it’s probably best that the children be older and know how to be respectful with a large dog. Elsa should be introduced to new people and new situations carefully because she has led a very sheltered life. 6/19/2017

Dozer:6/12/2017

Havana: is an 8 year old Saint Bernard who becomes immediate best friends with everyone she meets! She’s got quite a bit of spunk for her age and is great with dogs and other animals. Havana’s foster mom said Havana is the best foster they have had and that Havana just settled right in from day 1. Although Havana will always have a home with her foster, we would love to see her settled with her own family to live out her golden years! She has no obvious medical issues, has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Her bloodwork came back perfect! 6/8/2017

Fiona: is a gorgeous 2-3 year old female Saint Bernard. She is as sweet as they come, and great with bigger dogs. NO small critters (dogs, cats, etc.). Her prey drive is high. Squirrels won’t be a nuisance in your yard with this girl! Fiona is house broken and knows some commands. 6/8/2017

We also had his hips and knees x-rayed as he walks a little funny (has a sway/wiggle), but vet said all looked good in those areas. 6/5/2017

Reno: Look at this gorgeous hunk! Reno is an approximately 10 year old shorthair male in fantastic shape. He is good with all livestock, cats, kids and dogs (he will not instigate anything with other males, but he won’t let himself be picked on either). Reno must be an indoor dog, he likes the couch and wants to be where the people are. Reno knows sit and lay down. This is a tall, strong boy. We have not weighed him officially but are estimating him to be over 200lbs. Reno is in a loving foster home in the Portland area where he will have his veterinary needs taken care of. 6/2/2017

Tank: is an 18 month old boy who has had four homes already in his short life. Tank came into our rescue and just wants to play, eat, sleep and play some more. Tank does have some issues with his back hips and we are working with the vet on the best course of action for him.6/1/2017

Zeus: is a 4 year old male that came into to our rescue when he was dropped off at a local shelter. He is a tall guy standing 31” to 32” at the shoulder. Zeus weighs 113 lbs and is very underweight, but that is his only health issue. Zeus has meet everyone (dogs and cats included) very nicely he is just looking for a friendly home to call his own.6/1/2017

Thor: is an approximately 1 1/2 year old male who was found as a stray. No one claimed him from the shelter which baffles us. He’s such a great dog! Thor is great with dogs, cats, kids, everyone! He is incredibly strong and will need a strong handler. We recommend an obedience class to continue with his training. Thor is house trained and knows many commands. Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. Thor will need another playful dog in his new home.5/30/2017

Ranger Jack: My name is Ranger Jack. I just turned a year old. I am a sweet long hair boy. I was raised on a farm and have always been very gentle with all the critters, so it was quite a surprise when I became the prime “suspect” in a livestock “incident”. Rescue is giving me another chance and suggests that I do not go back to farm living. I love to play with other dogs, kids are great, but if a cat wants me to chase it, I will. It’s fun and I like to do fun things. I like swimming and playing in the creek, stuffed animals, and eating..especially people food. I like to ride in the car. I am neutered and utd on everything. 5/29/2017

Moose: Moose is the sweetest boy on this planet!!! His soul purpose is to just love and be loved. Moose is a 6 year old Great Dane/Mastiff mix. When he came to ISBR, he was very sick and was in and out of the vet for many weeks. He has now healed up and feeling great! He loves to play tug of war, and to cuddle. He would do best in a home with a doggy door or someone that is home a lot, as he sometimes has a hard time holding it all day. Moose does great with dogs, cats and kids. 5/26/2017

TURK: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Turk is a HUGE 3 1/2 year old Great Dane/Mastiff mix. He is good with dogs, cats, kids, house trained, a cuddler, and an overall great dog! Buck: & Bronco: Look-out because two large and tall handsome guys with loads of love are wanting to meet you. The brothers are seven years old and must go together since they have lived their whole lives together and are very bonded. They wiggle and bounce up and down wanting loves from you. They would hang out with you watching sports and rooting for your favorite team or licking away your tears from the sad movie on the television.5/18/2017

BROOKE: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Brooke is a 3 year old Saint Bernard/Mastiff mix looking for a new home. She is amazing with other dogs, and loves people. Brooke is quite the couch potato 🙂 She has also been raised around chickens and other poultry and seems to do fine. 5/15/2017

Little Lottie: is looking for a forever home. She is probably about 8-9 months old. She was turned in as a Newfoundland, but her pedigree is questionable. She is about 70lbs and very dainty and fine boned. Lottie is still an adolescent. She has moments of exuberance but she also loves to snuggle. She is good with other dogs, large and small, but untested with cats (I imagine she will be very curious and there will be a learning period). Lottie was raised around children in her short life, but would do best with kids over the age of 12 but she really is going to want the companionship of an adult. She is a very agile, quick learner and would make a good obedience or agility prospect. She loves belly rubs and attention, making her human friends laugh, snow, grooming, treats, running and playing. She is quiet and housebroken. She currently sleeps in the house without any problems. She will want to sleep in your bed with you, but she doesn’t take up much space. She is a little nervous in the car, but I think she will be fine with a little more exposure. She would do best in an active home, which will have the patience and experience to help her transition into a canine good citizen. Lottie had a pretty hard time and wasn’t treated very well in her past home, but it doesn’t seem to get her down. She will be spayed, utd on shots, and microchipped before she is adopted. Lottie is being fostered in Portland. 5/15/2017

Penny: is a 18 month old rough coat female that we rescued from her owner because they said she has to much energy for their young family. Penny has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro chipped. She is sweet pup that’s fine with other dogs, house trained, and is great with kids. Penny loves attention, walks, car rides or having play dates with other dogs. Being that she is young we do recommend obedience training. 5/13/2017

Aspen: (Waiting for Foster/Adoption) – 2yr old female, She is very energetic and playful, easy going with kids and other St. Bernard. Unfortunately over the last 6-9 months, she has become very anxious and does not do well being home alone. One of the owners works 12 hour shifts, and the other works 50-60 hours weekly. She has been having accidents in the house, clearing off kitchen counters, eating non-edible objects, etc. They have tried rearranging their schedules so she has less time alone. They have been working on obedience training and trying to expend more of her energy during the times that they are home. They feel she deserves more than what they are currently able to provide for her. 5/9/2017

Zeus: is a 14m male Saint Bernard. Zeus is a fun guy! He loves walks, other dogs and kids; everyone he meets is his new best friend. He loves the water but can’t swim. He was formerly an outdoor dog who slept in the garage but he is learning to be a house dog. Zeus has had a lot of hard knocks in his short life; the most recent being left at the vet clinic when he started having seizures. The vet clinic called rescue and we brought him in. We have ran some tests and we are pretty sure his seizures are related to low thyroid. Currently, he is on phenobarbitol to control the seizures and the plan is to wean him off once we get the thyroid medication in his system. Zeus is currently being fostered in Port Orford. 5/7/2017

Belle: is a shorthair spayed Saint mix female who is under a year old. She is smaller, about 70lbs but at 8 months old there is still room to grow. She is energetic and has been very well trained. Belle just arrived so we are learning more about her. She has not yet been tested with other dogs or cats. We do know that she should not be placed in a home with livestock. Belle is currently fostered in southern Oregon. 5/7/2017

Bella: Meet Bella!! Bella is a 14m old female Saint that was turned over to rescue when her family had to move. Bella has mostly been an outdoor dog, so our foster is working on house breaking and indoor socialization. We were told she gets along great with other dogs, cats and was raised with kids. Her former owner planned to breed her but we are pleased to inform you that Bella will not be a mommy in this lifetime. Bella has not seen a vet since she was two months old, so she will be requiring a full work up. We have had her treated for some extremely infected ears (some of the worst I have seen) and giardia. She also needs to gain some weight. She is very bubbly and outgoing and she will make someone a great pet. Bella should be available for adoption in late April. 5/2/2017

Alaska: is a beautiful two year old charmer. She is sweet, playful and very loving. Alaska previously lived with her sister Denali, who has already found her forever home, and a nine year old little girl. Alaska is running to your heart and saying “I am ready to go home with you”.5/1/2017

Danny Boy: is a very sweet four year old baby. He loves people, has attended many adoption events and is a big hit with everyone there. He does do best with children eight and up because small children kind of baffle him so he just backs away from them. Danny Boy loves to shake paw with you. He likes other dogs too and is such a big lover boy.5/1/2017

DUCHESS: LIL’ MISS DUCHESS IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Duchess is a 6 month old Great Dane/Lab mix with the softest coat ever! And what a love 🙂 She leans in for pets and cuddles, and then goes off to explore new things. Duchess would love to go to a home with another playful dog, and is fine with kids too! She is learning crate training, and is mostly potty trained (has only had one accident in the house so far!). Duchess is pretty mellow for being only 6 months old, but is still a puppy so obedience training would be great for her. Duchess rides well in the car also! We just can’t say enough good things about this girl. She will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to adoption. 5/1/2017

Luca: MEET LUCA!! Luca is a 2 year old Saint Bernard mix, available for adoption! Luca is hilarious…so goofy and funny, and full of life and love! Luca loves to go for walks, but has no leash manners, so will definitely need work on that. He knows sit, but that’s probably it 🙂 We highly recommend an obedience class. Luca is super smart and wants to please, so training him should be pretty easy. Luca is not house trained yet, so will need work on that as well. We think he was an outdoor only dog his whole life and just hasn’t learned proper indoor etiquette yet…but again, he so badly wants to please his people that training of any kind with this boy should be a breeze! Luca will soon be introduced into the play rooms with other dogs, but we don’t anticipate any problems at all. He passes and sees other dogs without issue. 5/1/2017

Annie-2: is an 11 month old sweet, energetic puppy who has never meet a stranger. She had a long drive up to North Carolina from Mississippi and now that she is rested she is ready to find her forever home.4/27/2017

Beauty: is a high energy alpha female Saint. The first comment when people see her is how pretty she is and what a beautiful wavy coat she has. Beauty knows her commands, can self entertain, loves walks, attention, body rubs and is house-trained.
Beauty is spayed, micro chipped and current on her vaccines. She weighs 120 and has been working on building up her bones since she had a broken elbow when she was rescued. Most of the time you can’t even notice a slight limp which doesn’t slow her down. Beauty loves all people, but is choosy about her canine companions that must be submissive to her and enjoy playing hard. She needs a family with prior experience with setting rules with big dogs. Beauty is working on her socialization skills and would love to meet you. The adoption fee includes all shots, hear tworm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of Pedigree dog food. Our adoption fee is $400.00 and we are located in Reno, NV.. If you are interested in adopting, 4/262017

Duke: here he is Duke Just a mere 10-11 months old Duke found himself in a shelter. ISBR stepped in and helped him out. He will require basic obedience upon adoption. He loves everyone. Crate and house trained and potty trained. This boy is the total package. To make him part of your family please fill out an application online. 4/25/2017

Zoey: is a DEAF 9 month old 3/4 Great Dane 1/4 Mastiff available for adoption! Zoey is pretty dang mellow and loves other animals including dogs, cats, ducks and horses. She is house trained and will need another dog in her new home. That’s just how she is most comfortable we have found. Zoey is very cuddly and will make someone an amazing family member!! Zoey will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to adoption. 4/22/2017

Journey: (Waiting for Foster/Adoption) – 4yr old female, The owner says she is extremely loving and enjoys cuddles more than anything. Would be best in a home without small children. She has very mild hip dysplasia but not on any current medications. She will need work on a leash and is a little fearful of strangers. The owners did not get very much socializing done with Journey – will need to be introduced to new people and new situations carefully because she has led a very sheltered life with the current owners. The owners feel she would do best with a fenced in yard and she can be selective with her dog friends. The owners feel that someone who is used to the giant breed and understands how a Bernard can be very protective of its family would be the right fit.4/21/2017

Annie: WHO IS READY FOR CUTENESS OVERLOAD????? Meet Little Orphan Annie!!!! She is an approximately 9 week old Merle Great Dane AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Annie is a snuggle bunny but Loves to play too!! Fenced yard is absolutely required and all animals in the home MUST be fixed. Annie is not quite potty trained as she is just a baby still. Please research what it takes to be prepared for and raise a puppy. It’s definitely not for everyone and requires a huge commitment and a lot of time and patience. Also if you aren’t familiar with Great Danes, do your research on the breed before applying. They also aren’t for everyone. 4/21/2017

Brutus: This is Brutus he is a 3 year old Bullmastiff / Bullmastiff, English Bull dog mix.
Brutus is about 19” high at the should and weighs about 90 lbs (built like a tank). He has never met a stranger and wants to play with everyone. He does needs some work on manners, oh and he can be a bit suborn at times. How do you get a 90 lbs dog walking when he flops on his back wiggling and looks at you?
Brutus’s energy level is too much for little children but would be great for older kids.
He is heartworm negative and up to date on all shots.4/20/2017

Niobi: came to us incredibly skinny and with a huge wound on her nose. Thanks to her foster family, she has gained 22 pounds in the last month and her wound is healing! She looks amazing and is ready to find her forever home! Niobi is a 7 year old Great Dane, does great with other dogs but has some issues with female dogs so males are best. She also currently lives with a cat and does fine. Niobi LOVES laying by the fire and cuddles :). She is an amazing girl with such a sweet spirit and will make some family very lucky. Niobi also lives with kids and does great with them. Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. 4/20/2017

Winston: is a 2 year old English Mastiff who was tied up outside, no food, water or shelter. Luckily he is smart and broke off the chain, ending up at a shelter in Utah. Winston is a really big goof ball, but is very strong and we will be very picky about his new home. NO KIDS UNDER 12. Experienced mastiff owners only. Winston is just not for first time owners. Winston is a wonderful dog, so sweet and playful. Another playful dog in the home that he can play with is ideal. Winston is currently in boarding/training with Good Citizen Dog Boise and is doing great! All potential adopters MUST come to Boise to meet Winston with all family members, including dogs. Winston is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. He had a small (2″) portion of the tip of his tail removed due to happy tail. 4/20/2017

Roxy: is a beautiful 8 year old Great Dane. She is very playful and loving. Roxy has a ton of energy for her age…for any age really! She is very bouncy and loves to play tug-o-war and chase. Roxy currently is in foster with 3 other dogs and 3 kids and is doing great! She would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company and play with. Roxy is house trained. 4/20/2017

Chrissy: is a 14 month old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after she was surrendered by her owner. When we picked her up she was a little under weight, very dirty and matted, needed to be micro chipped, and might need to have entropion surgery on both eyes. Chrissy is a sweet pup that’s a little shy at first meeting but she warms up quickly. We believe she was raised as an outside dog so she will require obedience and house training. 4/18/2017

Sadie:-2 is a loving girl who is looking for her forever home and a lap to crawl into and cuddle. She is good with other dogs and all people.4/16/2017

Loki: will be two years old June 2017; he weighs in at 165 lbs but should lose 10 to 15 lbs (too much laying around all day). Loki gets along with other dogs, cats kids. He just wants to be near his people. We are working on leash manners and basic commands, so far so good. If you are looking for a big mush ball of a dog here he is.4/16/2017

Buddy: Hello my name is Buddy I am 4 year old big lazy bundle of love. He came into our rescue from a shelter his previous family dumped him in. What we have found a big sweet boy that is looking for is someone just to hang out with. Do to his size (he can rest his chin on the kitchen counter easily) his new family must have giant dog experience. Buddy currently weighs 155 lbs and needs to gain 10 to 20 lbs, he is 36 inches tall at the shoulders and with a head about the size of a basketball. If you are looking for a new big best buddy than Buddy is the one.4/12/2017

Lilly Belle: EXPERIENCED HANDLER ONLY: This gorgeous 3 year old beauty is available for adoption. She should be the only pet in the family. She does currently live with 3 other dogs, a cat and a bird, however, it takes a very alpha leader to make that work. Lilly Belle is such a love and really wants just her people. She is house trained and SO CUDDLY!! Lilly Belle is spayed, up to date on her shots, and microchipped. 4/10/2017

Princess: This is Princess, she is a 15 month old bundle of energy with no manners. Princess came to us from a shelter in Georgia. She has been with us two weeks and what we have discovered is that she is very sweet loves to play and has no clue on the nice way to meet other dogs. So we have started her training and working off her rough edges.4/7/2017

Amos: is a 10 month old wonderful Saint pup. He’s neutered, up to date on shots and has great manners for a puppy. 4/2/2017

Gable: Sweet 11 month old NM. Love seeing everyone and everything. Active and loves to play. To make him part of your home, please fill out an application online. Adoption fee is $400. There are only positive things to say about this handsome . Will require basic obedience after adoption. WE DO REQUIRE A FENCED YARD OR INVISIBLE FENCING PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED FOR ADOPTIONS. SOME EXCEPTIONS APPLY.4/1/2017

Gypsy: is not over two years old. Gypsy and her friend Montana had a very hard start to their early lives – Montana is still recovering at the vets. Gypsy was picked up in the desert, thirsty, hungry and underweight, sores on her paws and body, matted dirty fur with various objects hidden in the tangles, parasites, she had it all from living in the desert. Gypsy loves people of all ages, going for walks, is curious about pools and loves her tennis balls and toys. Getting along with another dog depends on the other dog’s demeanor. We feel both Gypsy and Montana were attacked by Coyotes which sometimes makes her a little leery of other dogs when first meeting. You can see she had to have the hair shaved under her chin as it was too matted to save but it will soon grow out and her coat will be as gorgeous as it should have been all along.3/31/2017

Toby: is estimated to be no more than 18 months old. He is a handsome, energetic, fun loving and very affectionate big puppy. Jake is very smart and learns quickly – especially if you just happen to have a yummy treat in your hand because Jake loves yummy treats. In the home he would do best with another female dog. 3/31/2017

Ruby: is an eight year young sweetheart who came in with Toby. You would never know she is eight though. Our volunteer said that when he took her to his photo studio she figured out that the camera beeps before the flash and would run and try to hide every time the camera beeped, so outside photos it was. Silly girl don’t be camera shy as you are so beautiful. She loves car rides, people and likes other dogs.3/31/2017

Chloe: is the sweetest two year old around. She likes other dogs, is good in the home, a couch potato, loves walks, and does best with children six years old and up.3/31/2017

Sven: (Currently in Foster Home) – approx. 9yr non-neutered male, He has been in a couple homes, then adopted by an older women who had him for 5yrs but she now has medical issues and is unable to care for him. We have been told he is super friendly, ok with other dogs, loves to be brushed, loves to “talk” to people, unknown with little kids. He weighs about 116lbs, up to date on shots – told he has “droopy eye”.3/28/2017

Levi/Leo: (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) originally came from So Woods shelter into WSBR and was adopted to a couple, but ‘daddy” died in April and ‘momma’ died a couple weeks ago.
WSBR has no foster home available , especially because he needs to go to ‘a only dog’ home. I feel so bad I don’t have a place for him.
3/28/2017

Gilbert: (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) is a 1 1/2 year old neutered Saint Bernard. Gilbert was not socialized as a puppy so it takes him a little time to get to know you but once he does he will love you for life. He does seem to prefer women to men but has shown that men can be loved too. He would prefer a home with no children and enough room for his big playful body. He loves to play with balls and loves treats. His adoption fee is $175.00 and that includes, microchip, vaccinations, Certified Veterinarian Inspection and 30 days of FREE pet insurance. 3/28/2017

Tonka: is 4 years old, good with other dogs, house trained, good with kids. 3/23/2017

Bear: How cute am I? My name is Bear and I am a 5 yr old l/h neutered male. I’m a big baby who loves attention, women, playing and swimming (I’m a Pisces). I have been well cared for, all my vaccines are UTD. I like female dogs of all sizes once properly introduced and I have been okay around other males. I like cats and am learning all about livestock at my foster home. Kids over ten are ok. I am crate trained and obedience trained—I know the basics, sit, heel, down, recall. I would love a home with lots of room to run. So what’s the catch you ask? I am a bit fearful around strangers who come into my home. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to all the folks coming and going at my foster home and I barked, so I need a home that will give me time to figure this out and work with my stranger-danger issues. The rescue people think it’s best if I go to a home that has previous experience with a dog like me. So do you think we are made for each other? 3/22/2017

Beast: Hi there! Allow me to introduce myself. I am named Beast because of my size, not my personality. I am a St. Bernard/Blue Heeler/Springer Spaniel mix and they say I weigh over 100 pounds. We will find out for sure when I go to the veterinarian to be neutered and vaccinated. My owners have a new baby and they are afraid I might accidentally injure her with my large body and tail. I am two years old and have always been with my family, and with sad hearts they have asked for help finding me a forever home. I am really good with both male and female dogs, but no cats. I get along with all men, women and older children. Toddlers are too small for me. I am very friendly and well socialized and do very well with strangers in and out of my house. I am a very active dog and because of my size, I tend to get in trouble because of my separation anxiety. I am used to being put in a crate when I have to be left alone or at night when we all go to bed. It is my safe place. I am house trained and bark to be let outside. I am described as friendly, outgoing, active, confident and sometimes a barker when appropriate. There are two other smaller dogs in the house and I prefer to eat alone instead of sharing my food with them. I love to be outside especially now that we have snow and I really like playing in the water when I get the opportunity to go to the lake or nearby river. I need some more work on learning my basic commands and house manners. I do require a secure fenced yard where I will be safe and unable to jump over it and wander off. 3/20/2017

Baxter: is looking for a new family. He is neutered, microchipped, UTD on shots. He is almost 2 yrs young. He loves to play soccer, playing in the sprinkler and wading in his kiddy pool. He loves his people and is very curious. He knows sit, lie down, wears a harness to walk and is learning to heel. He is described as food motivated, goofy, medium energy, house broke. He travels ok in cars and sleeps indoors. He has a big bark, but seems to warm up to new people quickly. He has not been around any children and needs socialization with dogs and cats. Do you have room in your heart and your home for this big guy?3/19/2017

Dexter: My name is Dexter and I am a handsome 10 month old male St. Bernard mix. The previous owners do not know who my dad was. I am a big, but a very gentle dog. I am currently living with two adults and two very small dogs and we all get along great. I love the little dogs and share our bed, all snuggled up at night and play outside in the fenced yard as if we were all the same size. I am a patient soul and sit back and wait until the little ones have been fed and or had treats. Then I know it is my turn to eat and have a treat. I have only been with this temporary home since Christmas, but I have learned so much from my people. I know my commands, walk okay on a leash and am not a barker, except when I hear noises at the front door. I have great house manners and am friendly and social when new people come to the house. I am neutered and my vaccinations will be current prior to my adoption. Because of my size, I do require a secure fenced yard to keep me safe and from wandering away from home. I would do well with other smaller dogs, or a younger friendly dog to live with. Or, I would do well by myself if I was not left alone for hours at a time. I have never been exposed to cats or small children, so cannot tell you how I would behave around them. I will make a great walking, hiking, running companion. I am currently being fostered in Baker City, OR. 3/14/2017

Missy: is a 2 year old female Saint, good with dogs, cats and kids. House broke and ready for her forever home. 3/10/2017

Emily: is estimated to be five years old. She is a beautiful and regal looking smooth coat (shorthaired) saint. Emily was found as a stray in the desert and we are learning more about her great personality every day. She doesn’t like other dogs but this could be because as we have discovered, Emily is deaf. She is a people lover and a very sweet girl who would be a great member of your family. 1/12/2016

Dullay: ( He is 1 1/2 yrs old) a young, energetic, very loving boy who loves riding in cars and walking on a leash. Although he’s energetic, he’s also content laying around the house with you. He’s not much of shedder or drooler and enjoys being brushed. He is good with cats, small dogs and children. Due to his hearing loss, he has been taught hand signals for come, sit and lay down. He is food focused and will get into any unsecured food container. He enjoys toys but will protect/defend toys with food in them. He will do best in a house with another doggy friend and loving family for companionship and play times. Until Feb 18th, he will be at our driver’s house " Stephanie in CA for More Info: Please call Stephanie at 916-955-9598 The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. She is a gorgeous 3-4 year old Saint Bernard who was surrendered to us because her family moved from the country to the city and she doesn’t have enough room. She would love to go on walks, or hang out on the back porch with you, and snuggling on the couch would be peachy. This girl is the sweetest thing. I’ve been told she is great with cats too. Cody: is an 8 month old King Shepherd puppy, a rare breed that resembles a very large plush coated German Shepherd dog. Cody is a good boy, eager to please. He listens well and learns quickly. He is good with other dogs, still learning about other animals and children. He should still be supervised as he is a big puppy and wants to PLAY with every animal and person he meets. Cody needs a lot of exercise, so a large fenced area is a must and his future family should be willing to commit to his training. Experience with the breed or similar breeds is a plus! Cody is currently being fostered in Port Orford, OR.2/12/2017

JAGGER: MEET JAGGER! Jagger is a 10 month old cutie pie Great Dane that came to us from a shelter in Utah. Jagger is currently enrolled in training with Good Citizen Dog Boise and once that is complete he will be available for adoption. He is a young, very energetic guy! He LOVES to play with other dogs so a bigger dog in the home that he can play with would be nice, or lots of play dates. He is good with kids. No idea on cats. Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. 1/16/2017

Missy: Hi I’m Missy! I’m 21 years old (3 dog years), and am a whole lotta fun! Ask anyone. I currently have some roommates, both 2 legged and 4 legged, and adore them all, but really need my own place, ya know? These folks were kind enough to put me up when times got hard, but a girls gotta spread her wings and see the world. Here’s what I’m looking for: a 4 legged roommate that likes to have a good time is just about a must. I’m a fun girl and need someone to get rowdy with. I adore the small 2 legged folks, so those are cool too. I am a young girl and like to strut my stuff, so dog parks would be fun! I know how to use a dog door (although I do like the door held open for me…all ladies do). I can be pretty chill too, and like to cuddle. I do need a fenced yard and all the 4 legged creatures need to be fixed, like me. Don’t I sound like an amazing catch? 1/15/2017

Sadie Mae: is the newest ISBR crew member. Her owner was having some physical issues and just couldn’t provide the best life for Sadie Mae anymore so she selflessly surrendered her so we can find her forever home. Sadie is an 8 year old Great Dane, but still has some spunk in her! She is amazing with dogs, cats and kids and although she has been an outdoor dog her whole life, she had adjusted amazingly well to indoor living and no potty accidents. She is lower energy and curious about her surroundings. Fenced yard required and all animals in the home must be fixed. 1/8/2017

Tonka: is a beautiful sweet girl who is almost two years old. She is very playful and affectionate with people of all ages, dogs and cats. Tonka is a little shy with people when she first meets them because her former family didn’t have the time to get her out and around people, but she warms up quickly and loves to be wherever you are. She currently is in a foster home and lives with several other dogs and cats and has been busy meeting all kinds of visitors to the home and getting out and about.1/5/2017

Lucy: I have gotten in trouble asking a lady her age so I am not starting that again. Other people put Lucy’s age between 1.5 and 2.5 years old. She is petite girl who weighs in at about 88 lbs thou she could stand to again 10 to 15 lbs. She came into are rescue when someone dumped her on a dirt road and she walked on the porch of a nearby house. They contact our rescue because they could not keep her. She is sweet to everyone she meets and she wants to meet everyone. She does bark at new dogs but it is just her way of saying hi. We are working through some health issues and then she will be spayed. So if you are looking for a small Saint with a great attitude than she is the one. 1/4/2017
