Adopted (Placed) Saint Bernards 2018

Margo: Sweet Margo found herself in ISBR when her previous families other dog decided to start attacking her. Recently adopted from another shelter , that shelter has no room so Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue stepped in to make sure no harm came to her. She is believed to be about 12-18 months old. She is very sweet and LOVES to snuggle on the couch or in your bed at night. She is good with other dogs, does like to play but will entertain herself with toys . Up to date on vaccines as well as spayed and microchipped. She is great with other dogs and lives to play. 1/27/2019

Scully: is a 2 year old female Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix who is looking for her forever home. Scully is a super sweet girl. She is shy and a little timid and takes a while to warm up to strangers but once she does, she likes to cuddle on your lap. Scully is looking for a new home after a domestic break up. She has lived with kids, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and all sorts of other small animals with no issues. Scully has some anxiety, as she has been through a lot of changes. Her ideal home would be a home with someone who works part time, is retired or works from home. She is young and needs a master who will help her build up her confidence. Scully needs a fence at least 6 feet tall with no foot holds. She is pretty masterful at escaping especially when she is stressed out. Scully is crate trained, UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Scully is being fostered in Portland, OR. Can you give Scully the forever home she desperately needs? 1/18/2019

Bonnie: is an approximately 6 month old puppy. She looks like what I imagine a Saint Bernard/Corgi mix would look like. She’s short, smaller and has Saint Bernard coloring and droopy eyes. Bonnie is a naughty little typical puppy who loves to chew shoes, loves to drag the bathroom rug out every chance she gets, takes things outside, etc. If you aren’t prepared to work on puppy behavior, don’t bother with this one! Bonnie loves other dogs and absolutely needs one in her new home, preferably a playful one. She can be a little timid and can startle easily so younger children are not recommended. When I first met Bonnie, she would not leave the corner of her kennel at the shelter, and the staff had to pick her up to take her out. Bonnie has come out of her shell quite a bit, but still has a little ways to go. She will require a fenced yard, all animals in the home must be fixed, and we only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, ID. 1/13/2019

Becky: comes from a very, very loving home and because of family changes, she needs a new forever home. Becky loves 20 minute walks, leaning on humans, staring deeply into your eyes and then burping softly into your face a meat and basil smell because she stole the lasagna from the counter. Becky can be found trying to sit on your lap, lay on your bed, or watching you shower. Her likes are a pumpkin puf-a-lump from the early 90’s, Queen & Gary Clark, and interrupting my personal bathroom time. Becky is great with my kids and other dogs, though she really prefers alone time with that damn puf-a-lump. Becky is patient, kind, and loyal and some might say, even a little clingy. She enjoys dress up, car rides, and the occasional game of chase the squirrel. Becky uses her good looks to get what she wants and we have never seen her pay for her drinks or puppacinos at Starbucks. If you’re in the market for a beautiful, potty trained, new best friend (though I’ve caught her snap chatting about other dogs) . All animals in the home must be fixed, fenced yard required, and we only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.1/13/2019

Tina: is a 5 yo spayed female smooth coat. She got dumped in rural GA and was cared for by a family w/ small children for a couple of months before they found Saint Bernard Rescue.
They wanted to keep her but could not. Tina is one the sweetest Saints I have taken into rescue in a very long time. She loves kids and is very laid back.1/13/2019.

Reggie: is roughly 18 month old male who is a true gentle giant. He loves to play with other dogs. He is house trained and good with cats. He does play rough with his human and canine playmates but can be taught correct play with some training. He will require basic obedience upon adoption as he is VERY STUBBORN. Reggie is such a sweetie and would make a nice addition to almost any home. His adoption fee is $400. He has been fully vetted for the year as well as microchipped. He must receive monthly heartworm medication for life. 1/8/2019

Charlotte: and Izzie: are 1-year old female Saint Bernards. The owner would like them to be adopted together. They are good with dogs, cats and kids. Izzie is a little skittish with men, but overall they are both very friendly. House trained, crate trained, and as you can see, Izzie is a Nosey Neighbor! All animals in the home must be fixed. Fenced yard required. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, ID. If interested in adopting this gorgeous pair of spayed girls, please apply at application.1/8/2019

Heidi: is a sweet four year old looking for a home where she is the only dog and no cats. She can be around dogs outside the home with a controlled meeting but inside she wants all the attention and toys. Heidi loves people and her squeaky toys. She likes to go on walks carrying her squeaky with her. She is on the smaller size for a saint as you can see from the picture of her walking with the other two saints. 12/24/2818

Tessa: is a sweet senior girl desperately looking for a family to take her in and love her. She is so very sweet, loving and really wants out of the rescue and with a family. Tessa is healthy, on the medium size and gets around very well. She must be the only dog in the home and no cats. She can be out and around other dogs it is just that she wants all the loving for herself. Can you be the family that lets her retire at your home or at your retirement home? Tessa loves everyone.
.
12/24/2818

Barry: is the sweetest six year old guy around. He loves loves loves people of all ages. The pictures say it all. He loves to be where you are. Like helping you plant trees and being a pillow for you to prop your head on. This silly guy is afraid of other dogs but has been working on learning other dogs aren’t such a bad thing. You wouldn’t know Barry is six as he is in very good shape, loves to run around the yard and he is fast too, likes his walks and above all else, he loves being with you and is a very calm easy going guy when not playing. 12/24/2818

Jumanji: is a 4 1/2 year old male Saint who is good with kids, dogs and other animals. He has a perfect”Saintly”temperament. Jumanji loves belly and ear rubs and naps and chew toys. Jumanji is housebroken, and is a large male approximately 150lbs. 12/17/2018

Lakota: is a gorgeous 4 year old female. She has obviously been a breeder dog, but luckily that time for her is done! She is a little timid at first, but is incredibly sweet. Lakota does great with other dogs big and small. She loves the couch and hugs. The first day she came in, she showed signs of separation anxiety, but has figured out the routine and done much better. She is still pretty thin, but we are working on that. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If interested in adopting, apply at www.saintrescue.org.Fenced yard required, all animals must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 12/18/2018

Ferguson: NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: Ferguson is a 2 year old Newfoundland. He’s amazing with other dogs and we will require another big playful dog in his new home. He passed the cat test as well. No children under 10. 5-6 foot wooden fence is required (no chain link – he will climb it). All animals in the home must be fixed. Ferguson is an absolute doll and a favorite among the dog walkers. He walks really well on leash, loves car rides, and has done great meeting new people. He really is an outstanding dog!! Newfoundland experience is preferred. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, ID. No exceptions. Must be willing to travel to Boise to meet Ferguson before adopting.12/18/2018

Zena: is a 3 year old Saint Bernard. She is AMAZING with kids, and would love a home with kids and a bigger playful dog. Zena is house trained, spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. Zena is so cuddly and sweet and loves absolutely everyone she meets. All animals in the home must be fixed. We only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 12/18/2018

Cooper: is a 6 ½ year old neutered male. Cooper came to rescue because he was super stressed out by the 2 year old toddler he was living with and he was spending most of the time hiding from the toddler, only coming out of hiding once the baby was in bed. After evaluating, we have decided that he will need to go to a home with no children (kind teenagers ok). Cooper is a big boy, about 155lbs. He does pull on the lead and is very strong when he sees something he wants to investigate, so we would suggest a no pull harness for public outings. He is friendly and playful. He is getting along with our foster’s dogs and lived with other dogs previously. He is learning about cats at the foster home, but that is something that will need to be worked on. Cooper loves ear scratches and belly rubs. He is clever and can open pull down handle doors to get out, so if you have this type of door you will need to keep it locked. He loves ice. If he hears you putting ice in a cup, he will come running. He also knows how to use an ice maker on the front of a refrigerator. He loves to play fetch and playing keep away. He is not a digger or a fence jumper. Loves stuffed animals and chew toys. He really likes pancakes and waffles, so he enjoys a bite or two every so often. He has been through obedience school, has good house manners and is housebroken. He does ok at the vet, groomer and boarding. Cooper has been well loved and cared for throughout his life, but just found himself in an environment that wasn’t making him happy. His owners tried to work with the issue, but for the safety of both Cooper and the toddler, they made the difficult decision to find him a new home. Currently, we are working with folks on our waiting list who are interested in this boy. 12/10/2018

OSO: is approximately 3 years old, although he acts younger 🙂 He is said to be a Saint Bernard/Golden Retriever…who knows though? He is a big, cuddly, fuzzy bear. He LOVES to play with other dogs and over the time we have gotten to know him, we have decided that is a must in his new home…another playful dog for him to romp with. He adores toys too and the squeakier the better! Oso also adores children and does fine with cats unless they run, then the chase is on (only for play…) Oso’s perfect day would be rolling in the grass, tossing his toys around, playing chase, and then cuddling on the couch to watch a movie. Oh, if he could swim in there too that would be great. Oso can climb fences so a 6 foot or taller fence with no footholds is required.  No chain link fences. 12/5/2018

Whiskey: Hello my name is Whiskey. I am an 8 to 9 month old Saint Bernard and don’t let the name fool you I am a girl and all puppy. Whiskey main goal in life currently is to have fun. She has never meet a stranger either two legged or four legged. As a puppy she does need training on the leash and hose manners. The good part she is house broken and loves kids. Whiskey is up to date on shots and was spayed 10/02/18 so she is good to go. Whiskey current weighs in at 78 lbs which means she is going to be a big dog and needs a family that can help train her to be the best dog she can be.12//4/2018

Isaiah: This is Isaiah; he is about 9 months old and 56 lbs a Saint mix or honorary Saint we are still trying to decide. What we do know for sure Isaiah is a very sweet and timid young man. He like being around all dogs but is shy when it comes to people, but he is trying really hard to overcome that. So if you have the time to be patient and help him gain confidence you will have one very special loyal dog for a life time.12//4/2018

Xena: This sweet 2 1/2 year-old Landseer chocolate Newfoundland girl is a work in progress. She was a breeder dog prior to coming to living with her foster mom. She is good with other dogs, a little hesitant at first just because of her submissive nature. She is kind, willing, wants to learn. Her leash walking as well as crate training are a work in progress but have made leaps and bounds since coming into foster. She needs someone who is willing to continue her training and socializing. She will be a wonderful companion as she continue to learn how to be a spoiled house dog. A fenced yard is a must for this sweet gal. Her name is Xena!12/1/2018

Yeti: is a 5 yo neutered male rough coat. His owner is seeking to rehome him. They feel he will do better in a home with no other dogs and no small children.
Yeti is located in the Huntsville AL area. 11/29/2018

Baloo: is a 22 month old rough coat male that was surrendered to us by his owners because they have a toddler and second one on the way and they just can’t give Baloo the attention he needs plus they said they can’t afford his vet bills. He came in with some hair loss which could be either food or flea allergies and ear infections in both ears. He is on medication for both issues and seems to be feeling much better. We also got him neutered and vaccinated. He is a super sweet pup that loves attention, is house trained, loves the water, good with kids, other dogs and loves riding in the car. Baloo is vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped, and will be getting a much needed bath this week.11/21/2018

Daisy: Here is Daisy in a nutshell. She is smart, eager to learn and please, however, the puppy in her sometimes gets the best of her. She is good with other dogs, of all shapes and sizes. She doesn’t really care for cats, but lives with 4 of them. She is an escape artist. She gets out of a double locked metal crate. I thinks she transforms into liquid. What she actually does is cram her way under the door. She has a sore on her face from it, albeit is healing nicely. She is almost completely potty trained now. She does have a few accidents, but goes to the basement for those. She is a cuddler and will sleep with you if you let her. She is high energy. And the biggest plus is she is a dry mouth. Almost no drool from this girl I would not recommend this girl go to a family with small children. She will knock them over, not on purpose, just by her energy level. 11/15/12018

Molly: is a 6 year old beautiful, happy Saint Bernard looking for her forever home. She should probably be the only dog in the home as she seems to be selective in who she likes, and she’s not a fan of sharing her toys or treats. But she does great with cats, chickens and horses! She has been checked out by a vet to rule out medical issues causing any potential behavior problems. Molly is spayed, house trained, and incredibly loving. 11/14/2018

PENNY: KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK PENNY, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK PENNY, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK PENNY!
Hi! I’m Penny! I’m a gorgeous young girl…my acting career didn’t quite work out, so I’m looking to settle down with a family who will treat me like the Princess I truly am 👑 I can be a little shy at first, but once I know you, I will be by your side and the truest friend you could ask for. I’m an active girl, so would love a family that will include me in their activities. I also absolutely, positively need another dog in the home…I find a lot of comfort in their presence. I also really need a fenced yard, because I’m just such a curious girl! All animals in the home must be fixed
also. No kids under 12 as they make me very nervous. If you think you have the right castle for me, let the folks at ISBR know by applying at application. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. We are going to be incredibly picky about the adopters for this baby as she has been through soooo much and deserves nothing short of the perfect fit. 11/14/2018+

Boscoe Hello my name is Boscoe 2, I am a 4 year old 112 lbs smooth coated Saint that loves everyone except that dog that growled at me. He was not very nice so I barked at him to tell him to stop, I then walked away. Boscoe loves to have all people pet him and scratch his ears so much so that once you get started he will sit on your feet to make sure that you cannot go anywhere. If you are looking for a big ball of mush than here he is.11/12/2018

Snowman: This is Snowman he is a 10 month old Great Pyrenees that now needs a new home through no fault of his. He is house trained current on shots and still does dumb puppy things. Snowman needs a home that will continue his training and be able to provide lots of hugs and belly rubs. 11/12/2018

Dixie: COONHOUND???? Thats not a Saint Bernard…. She was in need and ISBR stepped in to take care of her. Dixie came into ISBR, hairless, skinny, covered in scabs and itching horribly. We have updated her vaccines, started her on preventatives, spayed her, micro-chipped her and given her meds to clean up her skin. She is now looking for her forever home. She is a typical hound dog and has her hound dog ways. She is on the mend and looking more like the beautiful girl we know she can be. Dixie is just over 18 months old. She is wonderful with children and loves everyone she meets. She likes to go for car rides. She is crate and house trained. A fence yard is mandatory for adoption. We would also prefer someone has previous hound dog experience for her adoption. 11/12/2018

Sandy: My name is Sandy. I am 17 months old and landed myself in a high kill shelter. Thankfully the wonderful rescue loving staff reached out to ISBR to get me out before I hit the kennel floor.
I am great with other dogs, love kids and him 98% housetrained. I will require basic obedience and continued socializing once I am adopted. My adoption fee is $400 I am spayed , current on vaccines, heartworm tested and started on preventative. I’m a really good girl and I’m just looking
for my forever home. Is that you? Fill out an adoption application to start the process to bring me home. 11/12/2018

Yadi: Hey cardinal fans I was obviously named after their awesome catcher Yadier Molina! You can call me Yadi for short. I landed myself in isbr after my owners gave me away to an older couple that I was to much for. Sadly they loved me so much that they put almost 15 lbs on my in 3-4 months. Other than being chubby and needing a diet I’m a healthy neutered male looking for my forever home. They made sure I landed in Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue since I was to much for them to take care of. I am good with kids, cats, and other dogs, house trained and enjoy car rides! I’m not super active so I will have to be forced to go for walks twice a day to loose that extra weight. I am around 5 years old and a big love bug. My adoption fee is $400. Feel free to fill out an application online to start my adoption process! I’m waiting for you!!! 9/17/2018

Lelo: This is Lelo she is a one year old Saint who came into our rescue when the breeder decided to get out of the business.< ` She is a happy playful obnoxious teenager who needs someone that can help teach her the rules. The right home for her will be able to continue her training and set boundaries to make her the perfect addition to there home. 10/31/2018//

Paislee: This sweet girl had her leg broken roughly around two weeks old. The breeder did nothing and did not seek veterinary care for her. Due to this issue she is going to be a financial orthopedic on going puppy for life. She’s roughly 5 months old house trained her name is Paisley this sweet girl had her leg broken roughly around two weeks old. The breeder did nothing and did not seek veterinary care for her. Due to this issue she is going to be a financial orthopedic on going puppy for life. She’s roughly 5 months old house trained her name is Paislee. We have x-rayed and saw an orthopedic surgeon for her care. She is currently getting adequan injections weekly and then we’ll go to monthly to help prevent the spread of osteoarthritis. She is starting to do underwater therapy for her hip dysplasia. This little girl is beyond sweet. She deserves a forever home that will do whatever they can for her and whatever arises with her orthopedic problems. There will be stipulations to her adoption as well as continued daily medications. She will need to be on a glucosamine and chondrotin and supplement for life. Pain meds as needed but she is pretty stoic. Her adoption fee is $600. Leelou: is a 6 year old beautiful, lady like Saint Bernard, looking for her forever home. She’s got a ton of life left, and is just about perfect! She is great with other dogs, cats and kids. Becky: Sweet Becky is a 5 year old 125lb s/h female, who has been bounced around throughout her life. Becky was headed to a sanctuary after having two litters of puppies and discarded. She was adopted by a family but unfortunately, did not do well with the small animals in the home. She is great with children and loves people. Becky loves hanging out on the couch and loving on her people. She wants to be by your side. Becky’s early life was spent in a kennel used as a breeding dog with little contact with people or other dogs. She had ground her teeth down trying to escape. She is house broke, seems to do fine with larger male dogs and has been around kids 7 years and older. She is not leash reactive, but if another dog challenges her, she will respond, so she will need some leash training, socialization and someone willing to manage her, especially around small animals she may meet. Becky must go to a home with at least a 6 foot fence and be welcomed into the house as a member of the family. There can be no small dogs, cats or small animals in the home. Her eyes had surgery at one point, so both corneas have some cloudy scarring and both ears were badly infected when she came to us and there is some hematoma scarring. She is in the process of being vetted and will be available for adoption soon. After years of being used and neglected, this girl deserves the life of a princess. Becky has lots of love to give and will make the right family very happy. Donations toward Becky’s veterinary care can be made at www.oregonsaintbernardrescue.com/how-to-help. If you are interested in adopting Becky, please fill out an adoption application at www.saintrescue.org. If you are interested in Becky and have an adoption application on file, please send me a text, email or message to let me know you are interested. 10/22/2018

Benjamin: this sweet guy was taken from a bad situation by some nice people in Missouri. However he didn’t get along with their dogs and so they asked ISBR to take him. He is about six years old his name is Benjamin and he is a smooth coat neutered male St. Bernard. He’s up-to-date on vaccines. He would do best in a low-key household with older children as he doesn’t know his own size. He walks well on a leash. He is OK with some female dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the actual home. He likes to go for car rides enjoys laying by air conditioning vent. He is very sweet and makes friends very quickly. Would you like to give this guy a forever home? His adoption fee is $400. Please fill out an application online to start our process.10/15/2018

Lilly Belle:MY NAME IS LILLY BELLE. I AM A PRINCESS AND AM READY TO BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY! No really, you can feed me dog bones and fan me with palm leaves 👑 I am incredibly sweet and am told my eyes are mesmerizing. What do you think? I love to play and run crazy with the big dogs, not such a fan of the littles though. I do enjoy kids and they make good cuddlers! I should have a fenced yard to keep out the paparazzi 📸 I take great photos, but a girl just wants to sun bathe without fear of photos ending up in the press. 🗞 I do love my den (you humans call it a crate) and prefer it when you are gone. Apparently chewing things is not acceptable in the human world. Sigh. So picky 🙄 If you think you can give me the life I deserve.  I will only move within 12 hours of Boise and need to have all my animals friends spayed or neutered before I move in.10/10/2018

Henry: is an outgoing long haired young adult male approximately a year and 1/2 who is ready for his forever home. Henry is a goofy, energetic adolescent who thinks life is good! He is always looking forward to the next adventure. Henry came to us as a stray. He is good with other dogs and loves to play but should probably live with a dog close to his size. Henry rides well in the car, is good for baths and nail trims. He would be a better fit with children 10 and older who are steady on their feet as he is still getting used to his size, and with a family who has experience with the breed. We don’t think Henry would be a good fit with cats or free range livestock as he likes to chase small animals but it would depend on the living situation and if you are willing to work with him. Henry does listen to commands once he has bonded with you. Henry will need training. He knows basic commands but has selective hearing at this time. He may be a good prospect for obedience, rally and agility events. He came in underweight and has proved himself to be a champion countersurfer. He is housebroken, he will lay in his crate but doesn’t like the door closed, and has done well in the house alone during the day at his foster. Henry will be great for a family who is willing to work on his socialization and public skills. Henry is in great health, is UTD on his vaccines, HW negative, microchipped and neutered. He is currently fostered in Newberg, OR. 10/9/2018

Mama June: is really Wonder Woman in a dog’s body! She is only 2 years old and has already had two full litters of puppies, then lost her third litter (which was only one baby). She went through an emergency c-section with this last litter after she had been surrendered to rescue, and that resulted in 15 staples, plus her incredibly large and swollen nipples. Despite all that she has been through in her short time on this earth, she will kiss you and kiss you and cuddle with you forever. June is truly the sweetest, most loving baby. She lives in the moment and is a very happy girl! She wasn’t socialized very much so she is learning to be around other dogs (thank you Dog Trainer Dan!) But she loves any and all loving attention that comes her way. She is thriving with her foster mom Lyndsey (who is a Wonder Woman in her own right!!!). Get your pre-adoption application in if you are interested in adopting our June Bug at www.saintrescue.org. Fenced yard is a must, all animals MUST be fixed, and we adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. Humungous shout out Boise Pet Photography for the stunning photos of our Juniper! It took two sessions, but they came out just beautiful! 10/7/2018

DUKE: IS SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE!!!! Duke is a 2 1/2 year old purebred neutered Great Dane with papers…who says rescues never have purebreds?? Duke is an absolutely stunning boy who is ready to find his forever home. He is great with kids, and has done pretty well with other dogs and cats. He can be a little overbearing (probably over excitement). Duke has been mostly an outdoor dog, but when brought inside hasn’t had any potty issues. Duke is an energetic boy and would love an active family! If you would like to meet this hunka hunka beautiful boy, apply at www.saintrescue.org. All animals in the home must be fixed. Fenced yard required. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 9/21/2018

Heinz: is a 6 month old Heinz 57 mix puppy…Catahoula mix we think. He is great with the other dogs and would benefit from having an adult dog in the home to teach him how to do things. He also wants to play with the kitties. He has only had one accident inside and that was when the foster family slept in a little later than usual. Heinz is a cool puppy and not much seems to bother him. He is very playful so another playful dog would be beneficial in his new home! All animals in the home must be fixed. We only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 9/28/2018

Otis: and his brother came into our rescue when their home life had a major change and they could not keep them any longer. So through no fault of their own they found their way to our rescue.
They are 4 year old brothers that are friendly and outgoing. They do need work on leash manners as they pull when going out the door or when they want to go meet people. They are neutered up to date on shots so are ready to go to their new forever home.9/26/2018

Lilly: is a very sweet and loving five year old doll. She loves toys, her bed, people of all ages, other dogs and cats too. The brown on her face is from tear stains and she will be having her eyes checked soon for entropion and the surgery will make her feel much better and no more tears.98/26/2818

Danny Boy: is a very sweet four year old baby. He loves people, has attended many adoption events and is a big hit with everyone there. He does do best with children eight and up because small children kind of baffle him so he just backs away from them but we would prefer no children in the home. Danny Boy loves to shake paw with you. He likes other dogs outside of the home but prefers to be the only dog in the home.98/26/2818

Zena: is a 2 year old l/h female. She is a sweet as they come. She is good with other dogs and loves her people. She is learning to walk on the leash without pulling, loves car rides, attention and snuggles. Zena is spayed, UTD on shots, H/W neg and microchipped. 9/24/2018

Andy: A boy named Andy…. after almost being sold online to who knows who… he landed at a shelter who wanted only the very best for this young boy. Andy is only 8 months old, he is crate trained, house trained and great with other dogs. He is altered and vaccinated as well as on preventatives. This boy LOVES to play with his house mate ( a Great Dane). He is an active boy but also like he’s his snuggle time. He will require basic obedience after his adoption. His adoption fee is $500.
Would you love for Andy Bernard to come live with you? Please fill out an application online to start our process.9/17/2018

Loki: is a 1 year old Great Dane, with the cutest clover on his chest! He loves other dogs, interested in cats, but in a nice way, and adores children! Loki is house trained, does well when left alone, and bonds fairly quickly with people. He needs another bigger playful dog in the home to play with. Fenced yard required. All other animals must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 9/13/2018

BIGGS: is a 6 year old Walker Coonhound/Saint Bernard mix looking for a new family. He is an indoor dog, but loves the outdoors too. Great with kids, but is clumsy so older kids are better. Great with other dogs, but no kitties. He’s a hound so he’s a barker-bayer. He likes to let people know he’s there. He’s also a counter surfer (he’s big, so just keep food off the counter and you will be fine). Biggs is neutered and house trained, and does fine when left alone at home. However, his current family said he has been known to pull food containers off the counter and chew/eat them. They have also baby proofed cabinets/drawers. Biggs is 120 pounds, and as a hound, if he catches a scent, he’s gone, so a secure fence and gate is definitely needed. Biggs is a big lover and needs a patient family that will teach him not to jump on the counter and get in the trash. 9/13/2018

Claudia:I’m a sweet five year old Gal who was used as a breeder dog my entire life. I lived in a stall I was part of the Amish community and I was treated like life stock. However when they saw that I was sick they did reach out to turn me over to somebody who could help. Thankfully Rescue stepped in and here I am now looking for my forever home. I have been spayed vaccinated, Microchip, and started on heartworm and flea prevention. I am house trained, crate trained. I do well with other dogs as I am living in a pack of five right now. But I do need introduction slow. Living in an Amish community I am great with kids. And I love to give kisses to everyone. Can I be gal who was used as a breeder dog my entire life. I live in a stall I was part of the Amish community and I was treated like livestock. However when they saw that I was sick they did reach out to turn me over to somebody who could help. Thankfully Rescue stepped in and here I am now looking for my forever home. I have been spayed and vaccinated, MICRA chipped, and started on heartworm and flea prevention. Minnie: is a a friendly, sweet female 18 month old St. Bernard who was adopted from the Animal Foundation last month by a family that cannot keep her because she does not get along with their other dogs. Minnie is working with a dog trainer to evaluate her dog introductions. UPDATE: Minnie is dog reactionary and responds well to correction. Like many young St. Bernards we get in Rescue she just needs some training to be the best dog she can be. Spayed, shots, microchip – $ 200 Adoption fee.9/9/2018

Bonnie: is a 2 1/2 ish year old Great Dane. She’s so loving and sweet, a little timid, but warms up, great with dogs and kids. Her biggest issue is her separation anxiety. If left alone at all she will chew…and chew. She is on Prozac which has helped some for sure, but she will absolutely need to be muzzled and crated (without the muzzle she can break out of the crate) when left alone. She would do best obviously with someone who is home all the time, or can take her with them. She will pay you back a hundred times over with love for your patience! This poor little girl has been bounced around and was recently returned to us again for chewing. Please folks, when we tell you she needs muzzled and crated, we mean it. It’s not cruel or mean. It’s for her own good so she doesn’t chew electric cords, or destroy your house. 9/7/2018

Abbey: is a senior girl looking for her new forever home (again). She had a wonderful family, but when they had a newborn, she became uncomfortable with the noise and chaos, and they were not trusting that she would adapt well, so she found herself back with rescue. Her original momma passed away, which is how she came to rescue the first time. Poor Abby has had some tough breaks, but she is a great dog and deserves a quiet family for her retirement. She does well with older kids, just not toddler ages. Abby is currently being fostered in the DFW area. She does fine with cats and other dogs, but would probably prefer to be an only dog if given the choice.9/3/2018

Chief: is a gorgeous 13 month old male Great Dane looking for his new home. He is dog friendly, people friendly, but really needs some obedience training. That is not optional and will be part of the adoption contract. He is energetic and loves to go for hikes. Chief is an absolute sweetheart and does fine in the house when left alone. All other animals in the home must be fixed. Fenced yard required. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. 8/28/2018

Stitch: GOT A SAINT BERNARD? IT’D BE A LOT COOLER IF YOU DID….Sup everybody. I’m Stitch, and I’m one cool cat…errrr…dog…anyway, I’m, like, super mellow and chill. Other dogs? I can take them or leave them either way, people are where it’s at, ya dig? I’m a total house dog, the outdoors is fine, but inside is the hip joint. Kids are pretty groovy too as long as they aren’t pulling on my masculine mane. I haven’t had a lot of what they call “obedience training,” I dance to my own drummer, man, but hey if you want to do some of that training stuff, I can get with that. Anyway, I promise your life will be a lot cooler with a hip hip dude like me. If you want to meet me, ya gotta do the application thing at www.saintrescue.org. I do need a fenced yard, and your pets need to be fixed please and thanks. I also am only willing to travel up to 12 hours away from Boise, ID. Catch ya on the flip side!application. 7/4/6018

Zoey: is a beautiful, sweet 2.5 year old short hair female Saint Bernard. Zoey is being rehomed as her older owners had to downsize. Zoey has an excellent temperament and tends to be more on the submissive side. She has lived on a farm her whole life. She is good with other dogs. She has been around barn cats, she will chase and wants to play with them. She will chase chickens but hasn’t hurt any livestock. She has been around horses. She has been living outside so she needs some grooming and tlc. She doesn’t chew, dig, jump or escape but you will need to keep garbage cans out of her reach. She is housebroken. She likes car rides but wants to be lifted into the car. She will need to be fed separately from other dogs until she is comfortable with them as she is a slow eater and might get agitated if someone tries to steal her chow. She loves belly rubs and chasing toys. She has been around children ages 4 and up. Zoey needs to be spayed and will not be available until after her vet work is completed. 8/24/2018

Holly:is a 3 yr old long haired spayed female. She loves cats, kids and other dogs. She’s looking for her forever home and wants to be your couch potato. She’s very sweet and loves to give kisses8/20/2818

MOCHA: SAY HELLO TO MOCHA! Mocha is a 6 month old Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix and fun as can be! Mocha loves other dogs and we would love to see her go to a home with another younger, bigger playful dog. We are told she is also good with cats and kids. She is a puppy and has some chewing habits that will need to be broken, and the foster is working with her on crate training. Mocha, being a puppy, is a little wild child and could use some obedience work. She will need an active family to help keep her busy and tired. If she doesn’t get her energy out, she will get bored, and bored puppies are destructive ones. NOTE: Fenced yard absolutely required. All animals must be fixed. And we only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.8/19/20181

Bella: and Bear: her brother Bear (born Sept 2017) came in to our rescue when there family could no longer keep them. Both are happy loving puppies whose only job is to play eat and sleep and boy do they do that well. They are both tall and still growing. So if you are looking for a big friendly dog here they are.8/16/2018

Noah: Sweet Noah came to us after an accidental breeding. His mom was a full-blooded St. Bernard and his dad is a great Pyrenees mix. Noah is everything a puppy is. Full of life, exploring, loving playing and exploring the yard as well as the house. He is working on his house training. He is roughly 5 months old as of 7/22/2018. He is about 50 pounds and has really long legs. He will require basic obedience upon adoption. He will also be neutered and he is current on vaccines. He loveshanging out on dog beds as well as playing with stuffed animals.8/12/2018

Beatrice: was an owner relinquish from southern Indiana. Down in Amish country she hung out on the farm and was used for breeding. All that changed when she was turned over to ISBR. Her adoption fee is $400. She has been fully vetted and is ready for her forever home 5-year-old is looking for her forever home. Is that you? She is good with other dogs, crate trained, loves walking around her fenced backyard and enjoying the grass and smelling the flowers. She’s coming out of her shell more and more every day. Her adoption fee is $400. She has been fully vetted and is ready for her forever home. 8/12/2018

Bizzy: is a very friendly, quiet sweet 7 yr old neutered male saint. Coming from a Southern California shelter, we know very little about Bizzy’s former life. He is underweight and is currently showing quite an appetite and starting to put on weight. Even when Bizzy reaches his desired weight he will not be a large saint. Bizzy has a few scars and patches that indicate life has not always been easy for him yet one would never know it by his mellow manner and his happy smile. We do know that Bizzy lived with a male mastiff. We do know that he is fine with female dogs. We have not been able to test him yet with other males or cats but his easy going manner leads us to believe Bizzy would try to fit into most situations. Bizzy loves people and wants to find someone who will love him too. Bizzy is ready to start his new life with his forever family. 8/6/2018

Thorin: is a very nice, quiet, mellow boy. Thorin gets along well with other dogs although he does just kind of finds his own space among them. No problems with dog interactions, he completely ignores the top dog in the household and will play with the younger female, but he tires quickly and lays down. Great in the house, ignores the cats, has been out with the goats and chickens and really shows no interest in chasing or barking at them. Very content in the yard, does not investigate the fence line at all, and just follows us around. He goes up and down the stairs to the front deck and backyard without any problems. Loves a good dog bed. Craves any and all human attention and he just loves belly rubs! Thorin is wary of strangers but gets over it pretty quick. He might give a short, soft growl, but no other aggression. Thorin was raised around kids and was very good with them. We would suggest no younger kids because of his arthritis issues but should do great with kids that will respect his space. His foster is happy with his ability to adapt. Thorin is on a weight management diet and supplements for his arthritis in his front legs. His treats are kept to a minimum, just a small cookie, which he takes gently but then promptly spits out across the floor and the other dogs gobble it up. His weight is hard on him. He is getting multiple walks daily around the property and up and down the hill but it will take a while to get him back in shape. Thorin’s coat will need more work but we are working on removing all the mats and imbedded hair. Thorin is neutered, UTD on shots, HW negative, microchipped and ready to start his new life. 8/6/2018

JACK: IS READY FOR HIS HOME! Do you like drool and hair? Do you need 110 pounds of companionship? Do you want a shadow? Then Jack is your guy! He is 1.5 years old and gets along with everyone he comes across. He has met numerous dogs and loves them all. He has been living with cats and could care less. Jack does need a home with another dog or a human who won’t leave him alone much. He gets lonely, he likes to play, and he loves his people! Jack is totally housebroken and has wonderful house manners. He prefers being inside actually, right near his people! Jack will need a yard with a 6ft wood fence that he doesn’t have to spend a ton of time in! Jack knows basic commands and is quite obidient. He is neutered and ready to find his forever home! All animals in the home must be fixed and we adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.8/6/20181

Buddy: is around a year old rough coat male that we rescued from a local shelter. Buddy is a sweet pup that is very playful, loves meeting people, good with kids and other dogs and rides great in the car. He is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, but will require obedience training.8/2/20181

Waldo: is 18 month old Great Pyrenees that we just took into our rescue. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. Waldo is sweet boy that’s great with kids, other dogs, leashed trained, house trained, and even knows how to use a doggie door. He loves attention, walks, car rides, playing in a kiddy pool, and knows the basic commands but we do recommend he continues with his training. We require a 6ft fenced in backyard.8/2/20181

Jasmine: is a nearly 3 year old Fawn Great Dane. She is on the petite and energetic side of the Dane spectrum. Jasmine would love an active home with another big doggie to play with. It’s likely that she is too playful to have a small dog playmate. Jasmine has been known to chase cats, so a cat free home is best. She has grown up with children and does well with them, although older children are best as she may tip over a toddler. Jasmine is crate trained, but the crate is not necessary as she can be trusted to free roam without being destructive. If you’re looking for a lovable Dane who would love to walk, jog, hike and play with you, Jasmine could be your girl! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Fenced yard required and all animals in the home must be fixed. We adopt out to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.2/20181

MINNIE: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Minnie is an almost 3 year old Great Dane and she is looking for a new home. Minnie absolutely loves other dogs and it is a MUST to have another bigger playful dog in the home that can keep up with her! Here are a few things about Minnie:
* She gets nervous when men wear hats * She gets a little nervous and car sick on long car rides * She is awesome with kids big and small * She has done well with kittens and won’t bother indoor cats, but if they run, she may chase to play * Minnie LOVES stuffed and soft toys
* She is a sensitive soul and doesn’t like being left alone for long periods of time * MOST IMPORTANT – Minnie has allergies and sensitivities to chicken/poultry. If you think you are the right home for Minnie, . All animals in the home must be fixed, fenced yard required. We only adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.2/20181

ONSLOW: IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME. Onslow is 5 and will be 6 in November. He is good with dogs, unknown on cats, and definitely no kids under 10. They make him very nervous. Onslow is well trained, house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and a very gentle boy. Onslow is playful still and loves fetch. All animals in the home must be fixed, fenced yard required, and we adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.2/201811

Daisy Jane: is an adorable 2 year old short hair Saint Bernard. Just check out that cute hospice ear! Miss Daisy just came to us from a shelter. She is starting to gain some weight but probably will need to gain another 10-20lbs. Daisy likes to play so a friendly male dog her size would be perfect. It takes her a bit to get to know new dogs, so slow, patient introductions are necessary. We feel that Daisy will not be a good fit with small or medium size dogs due to her style of play. She absolutely can not go to a home with cats, chickens or other small animals. The perfect home for Daisy would be a home that will continue with her obedience training, establish boundaries, has a 6 foot fenced yard with plenty of room for a girl to stretch out and ideally, an owner who will be home with her more often than not. Daisy loves her people and has been good with children, although she may knock over little ones with her exuberance. Daisy travels well, is housebroke, spayed, loves her toys, has good house manners, crates well and seems to see her crate as a retreat when she is tired of playing. She is going to be an amazing pet. 7/31/2018

Thelma: is a big love. She gets along with other dogs but NO CATS or Small animals. Maise: Hi Y’all! I’m Maise! I’m 17.5 years old (2.5 in hooman years). I get told all the time how beautiful I am, but you can see that for yourself 😉 So here’s the deal, like, I’m a really good dog, in fact if you ask me, I’m darn near perfect 👑 but here are my deets:
* I really like kids. Haven’t had any of my own (and never will), but they’re cool to chill and play with * I don’t bark (Like most girls, I do the silent treatment when I’m mad) * Although I’m a teenager, I’m pretty calm * I have gone to the social groups at what my family calls doggy daycare. I really like to socialize with the bigger dogs…small dogs aren’t my favorite * When my family leaves me alone at home, it’s peaceful and I get ME time, so I sleep on my bed, and just be a typical lazy teenage girl 😴 * And the most important thing is my diet. See, my belly is a little sensitive, but my hoomans have found that the Science Diet sensitive diet dog food works great for me…also occasional probiotics to help keep me regular (So gross, but my hoomans are making me tell you about this part 🤢)So look, I’m overall a really great dog, and did I mention beautiful? 😍 If you think you have what it takes to make me happy, feel free to do the dang thing…ya know, fill out the adoption application at application. but you should know that all the other animals in your home must be fixed, I do need a fenced yard, and this rescue place only places dogs within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. TTFN!7/9/20181

Wilson: is an almost 1.5 year old Harlequin Great Dane. He is FULL of energy and really needs another big playful dog in his new home. Wilson is a really tall dog and weighs in at about 130 pounds currently. Wilson is a big love bug, does the typical Dane Lean, and will sit his butt on your lap if you let him. He is house trained, crate trained, is being neutered in the middle of April, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Wilson’s ideal home would have an active family that will take him out to do stuff, has another big playful dog, big fenced yard, and a family that will include him in their day to day. He will definitely need some obedience work, and he is a counter surfer. Wilson is a VERY BIG boy so older kids (probably 6 or older) would be best. He takes treats super gently! We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. Fenced yard required. All animals in the home must be fixed. 7/9/20181

Cleo: is a sweet, gorgeous 10 year old short hair female who is searching for her forever home. She is a wonderful girl who has come in to rescue after her owner passed away. Cleo, like many older Saints, has some arthritis in her rear end and front leg and will need to be in a home without stairs (she can get up and down one or two steps but that is about it). She sometimes needs help getting up but moves ok once she is up. She still loves her walks but if she gets tired, she will lay down to rest, so it is recommended that she has short walks and that you have a senior harness or towel on hand to help her up. She is currently on glucosamine and dog aspirin so an anti-inflammatory added may be helpful. She is potty trained, was raised in a condo, utd on shots, spayed and is very tall. She loves car rides and walks. She is good around kids and other dogs and loves people. Although we do not know how she is around cats, being 10 years old and good with everything else, we do not think she will hassle cats. Cleo is very tall. She has a beautiful, soft coat and she has been well taken care of throughout her life. This girl still has love to give and we are seeking a permanent home for her, either through adoption or foster. 7/6/26181

But let me start by saying I love you ♥ VIOLET LOVES EVERYONE! And she is looking for her one, true, forever love. She loves long walks in the grass, and talks and cuddles over milk bones in front of the fire. Violet is looking for someone stable who can take care of her for the rest of her years. She is not a princess and will do her part around the house, but needs security. Violet doesn’t mind if you have kids, but does ask for equal attention. She also appreciates the comfy things like big fat dog beds and sofas. If you think you have what it takes to make Violet happy, All animals in the home must be fixed and we adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.7/4/2018

Shyla: Meet Shyla. She is a gorgeous, mellow, incredibly sweet 6 year old Saint Bernard. Shyla is great with other dogs, will chase cats if they run. She knows basic commands, but could use a bit more training. She loves to lay on your feet just to be near you. She does fine when left alone during the day, but would love a companion dog to keep her company. Fenced yard would be great, all animals must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise. 7/2/2018

Scooby: is a 9-10 month old Great Dane. He is great with other dogs, and absolutely needs another bigger dog to seek comfort and guidance from in his new home. Scooby is very timid and shy and will need a patient family that will let him warm up and come to them on his own time. Smaller kids would not be a good fit as they can be loud and not understand about giving dogs like Scooby his space. Fenced yard required. All animals in the home must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise. 7/2/2018

Harli: is a sweet and very lovable five year old female. She is an active young female, full of energy, likes to play and can run like the wind. Harli is a cuddler and craves attention. She previously lived with Dozer. 1/10/2017

Luna: is a 1 yr old rough coat female Saint/Pyrenees mix that her owners could no longer care for. She is spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Luna is sweet girl that’s great with kids, other dogs, crate, leashed, and house trained. She loves attention, walks, car rides and belly rubs but being she is still a young pup we recommend additional obedience training. We require a 6ft fenced in backyard. 6/12/20181

Sadie: MEET SADIE! Sadie is a beautiful 2 year old Saint Bernard (will be 3 in April). She loves people, but is also protective of her family. She is housebroken and has been through some basic obedience classes, where she excelled. Sadie is very food motivated 🙂 She is a very loving, sweet dog that enjoys time outside running with her doggy friend. Sadie has grown up with kiddos and likes to follow them around the yard. Sadie has grown up with cats, but will chase neighbor cats if they provoke her. She has been good with chickens, but also barks at the neighbors livestock. The reason she is being rehomed is because she has been fighting with the 10 year old female Golden Retriever in the home. This is obviously a concern not only for the dogs’ wellbeing, but with kids in the home. The family is heartbroken, but feel this is the best route to go. Sadie has been pretty intense meeting new dogs, so if possible, she should be an only dog, or with a submissive male. More socialization and training would be great for her. She is very smart. Sadie has also had some food guarding issues, so should be fed separately. Sadie has been well loved and cared for. She is located in MT. We are working closely with the family to find the right home and they will be very involved in the process.6/8/2018

Charlie: is a 14 month old spayed female Saint Bernard. She is good with other dogs, cats, and older kids. Charlie is house trained and crate trained (mostly because of her love of tootsie rolls found in litter boxes!) While she is wonderful inside, she is not so great outside. She will chew, tear up potted plants, etc. She will also take off running in a fun (for her) game of chase if given the chance. Charlie is a big, soft, fluffy cuddle bunny that wants to be your sofa pal. If you are interested in giving Charlie her forever home, apply at www.saintrescue.org. Fenced yard required, no exceptions. All animals in the home must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho.6/8/2018

Gypsy: is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Great Dane, ready for her forever home! Gypsy is awesome with other dogs and cats, and even kids, although she is big and clumsy and likes to sit on things, so older kids would be best. Gypsy loves car rides, and is house trained. She does need a home with another bigger playful dog. She gets a little nervous if left alone, and another dog helps her. She’s a little sensitive soul, and would do great in a home where her people are around a lot or can take her with them to work. She prefers women over men, although she’s fine with men. Silly girl also prefers to drink running water from the sink or bathtub instead of dog bowls…lol! Gypsy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. All animals in the home must be fixed. Fenced yard required. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. Apply to adopt at Gypsy is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Great Dane, ready for her forever home! Apollo: is a 1 1/2 year old male Great Dane/Mastiff mix. He is coming out of his shell more and more every day! He is a super sweet boy with pretty dang good house manners. He does pull on the leash, but just needs some training. An obedience class with him will be a great idea. He does really well with the dogs and cat in his foster home. He does like to cuddle too. He needs someone that will make him an important part of their family and their daily goings on. He can be a little needy and would do great with another bigger dog in the home to hang out with while his family is gone, or someone that will take him with them. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise, Idaho. All animals must be fixed. Fenced yard required.5/6/2018

Lucy: Sweet Lucy, found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter , things looked bleak. But kind strangers contacted Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue to step in and grab up this beauty. Unfortunately we had to shave her down due to the 100 plus ticks that were found on her. She has been bathed and has been enjoying her new foster home life. We found out that she was given away to a Farm after having a family. Lucy would do best in a home with older kids as she doesn’t hear much of anything. She is quiet, house trained and good with everyone she meets! She is up to date on vaccines and altered. To make this sweet girl part of your family. 6/4/20181

Panda: is 5yr old rough coat male that was released to us by his owner. He is a retired show dog in good health that loves attention, walks great on leash, or just hanging out with you. Panda is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, crate and kenneled trained but he was raised as an out door dog so he will require house training. Please no children under 12 or small animals do to his size. He would do fine with medium to large female dogs. 5/26/2018

Yin: is a 3 ish year old Harlequin Great Dane. She is the sweetest dog on the planet, I swear! She is great with bigger dogs and loves to play. But NO small animals. Beverly:BEAUTIFUL BODACIOUS BEVERLY SEEKS FUN FANTASTIC FAMILY. Beverly is a 3/4 year old Saint Bernard. She is just so much fun and so loving…once she warms up to you, which doesn’t take long. She does have some guarding instincts and would do best in a country setting where this is not a lot of foot traffic as she does like to bark and alert to things coming and going on her property. Beverly would do best with another playful dog in the home. She was an outdoor dog prior to coming into rescue, so may need a reminder about potty training, although in her boarding facility currently, she does appear to only want to potty outside. Beverly would be fine with kids, although no super young ones. Once Beverly gives you her trust, you will have a friend for life. All animals in the home must be fixed, and we adopt to within 12 hours of Boise. Huge thank you to Stephanie for fostering Beverly while we search for her new home! 5/17/2018

Lucy: This is Lucy! She was owner-surrendered 11/12 through no fault of either Lucy or her owner….Lucy was just too much dog for her owner and contacted WSBR. Lucy is roughly 8 years old, roughly 110 pounds, full blooded, spayed, up to date on shots and preventatives. Lucy is good with other dogs, cats and kids, knows “sit”, and loves attention which includes pets and being brushed. The type of foster or adopter we are looking for is ideally a home that someone will be home at all times. Lucy’s previous home had someone there and she is used to that initially but will work with her to learn to get used to being alone at times. UPDATE 2: Lucy keeps getting sweeter by the day as she settles into her foster home. She just had her nails trimmed so she no longer makes a clickety-clacking noise as she walks. She will be visiting a local doggy day care this week so she can play with other dogs. She is getting along with her foster family dogs and cats but none are willing to play just yet. UPDATE 3: Lucy passed the day care evaluation with flying colors so she will join her foster brothers at day care once a week to burn off excess energy. Lucy paid a visit to the vet because of excessive water drinking and was diagnosed with a type of diabetes that doesn’t allow her kidneys to process water normally. She is on medication and will be monitored and will get a followup with the vet soon. This has not stopped Lucy from coming out of her self imposed shell. As time passes she learns how the rules work, knows how to get one of her foster brothers to play with her, knows how to tell us when she needs to visit the outhouse and really knows how to turn on the cuteness and get pets. 4/21/12018

Leo: Dumped at a high kill shelter after the landlord told Leos owner he had to go. Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue stepped in and grabbed this handsome boy up. Leo is about 4 years old.
He is vetted and up to date on vaccines. Sweet, loving, house trained, walks well on a leash, loves car rides, waits to have his feet wiped, and takes his chewy’s outside , I could go on and on.
He is good with other dogs. This boy is and all around gem!
4/18/2018

Granpa: Hello everyone my name is Granpa, yeah it is kind of silly but its mine. I am 16 months old and weigh in at around 106 lbs. I was paroled out of a local shelter and a nice person took me to their home where I get to play with other dogs my size and boy what fun. Granpa gets along with everyone, dogs big people/little people, cats are an unknown. Granpa is looking for a home with big kids to play with and someone who can spend a lot of time with. In his first home when they put him in the back yard by himself he always got out and went looking for people to play with. So far he has not had any issues in the house, yard or dogs in the house. So if you are looking for a big goofy pup this is it. Note: Granpa will not be adopted outside of North Carolina no exceptions

DD: Meet DD. A nine-year-old deaf St. Bernard, Who was relinquished by her previous owners to a vet school. A technician adopted her from the school and took her home to let her live out her days. As it turns out DD would prefer not to live with other dogs. She is very sweet to every person that she meets, but really wants a home of her own. Are you her forever home? Her adoption fee is $250. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and on heartworm prevention monthly. If you can offer the sweet old lady a forever home. 3/30/2018

Samson: I never thought or dreamed that I would find myself in a RESCUE. But an unfortunate thing happened to my owner and he passed away and I was left with no one to care for me and my pen mate. We were loved and cared for, and thought that we would be in this place forever. Now that we are with ISBR , we are seeing a new light of how things can be as house dogs. I am 9 years young and full of life. I’m a little more reserved but definitely love people and am good with other dogs. I am crate trained and house trained. I have been vetted and neutered as well as heartworms tested. Unfortunately I came up positive so we are working on treating that. I had some intestinal parasites but I’ve been treated for those , and starting to gain some much needed weight. 3/30/2018

Tucker: is a handsome 3 year old Saint Bernard/Great Dane mix, looking to find a fun, active family that will include him in their goings-on. He is great with kiddos and female dogs. No kitties or male dogs in the home please🙏 Tucker is house trained and crate trained, and LOVES to play so a home with another bigger female dog to keep up with him is desired, otherwise he may find other (not so great) ways to keep himself occupied. Fenced yard please, and all animals in the home must be fixed. We adopt to within 12 hours of Boise. 3/18/28188

Star: is my name, born to be, and shine bright is what my foster mom tells me. I’ve now traveled the city of Chicago being shown the sights by the best foster brother. We have been to hotels and beaches and dog parks galore, but now it’s time to find a home of my own. I really am the best girl. I like dogs and kids, cats and car rides. I walk pretty good on a leash and will even do stairs or an elevator if asked. I’m house trained and mind my manners, though I do speak sometime before spoken to. Stars have things to say also. My previous owners loved me but when they retired I could not go to their new community with them. ISBR stepped in to make sure this Star never had dim her glow again. I will require some basic obedience training not because I’m bad but because I could use a refresher course. I’m spayed up to date on vaccines and on preventatives. Can I come be the Star in your life? Will you let me brighten your home forever? My adoption fee is $400. I am 4 years old and ready to hang my Star in one place forever. 3/28/2018

Xena: My name is Xena. I landed myself in care of isbr due to a sickness in my family. Even though I missed my family, I have acclimated to my new living arrangement. I love having canine brothers and sister to play with. As well as a few little people to hang out with and snuggle on the couch. It is a must ,that I must be allowed to be on the furniture as I can’t get enough of couch snuggling. I’m sweet ,I’m housetrained, I maybe play a little more exuberant with kitties than I should. But I’m not bad with them. I love to go for car rides, and I’m up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and microchip. Can I come live with you forever? 3/25/2018

Gabe: is a 5 year old male Saint Bernard. He is a big boy, we are estimating him to be close to 200lbs. Gabe is a bit shy when meeting new people and takes awhile to adjust, so anyone who is interested in adopting him needs to realize that it takes him a bit to get used to new places and people and that he needs time to process. Once he is used to you, he wants to be a lap dog. He was loves to be in the house and is housebroken. He is a bit stubborn and that can be a challenge with a dog this big. He is good with other dogs for the most part. He is good with cats and livestock and isn’t bothering the chickens at his foster’s home. He will be UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered before going to his new home.3/22/2018

Erik:is a 16 month old neutered male. Erik is good with most dogs, doesn’t bother cats and loves kids. Erik needs someone to shower him with love and to work with his basic obedience training. 3/22/2018

Molly: is in a sad situation. Her owner died suddenly and she is looking for a new home. Molly is a senior female (WSBR rescued her from a shelter)She was  originally  adopted from WSBR Molly seems laid back but  independent.3/20/12018

FIONA: is an absolutely adorable 1 year old German Shepard/something mix….fox? Jackrabbit? Donkey? No idea but those ears…I mean….anyway! Fiona is super sweet and should really have another younger playful dog in her new home. She is cuddly and sweet, but would do best with someone home a lot as she has some anxiety. She thank you to Boise Pet Photography for the stunning photos of our girl! And thank you Julie for fostering! 3/13/2818

RAIDER: WOULD LOVE A FOSTER OR ADOPTER! Raider is 2 years old (ish), and is a Great Dane mix (probably Mastiff). He was surrendered for attacking a small dog, however, in doggy daycare he’s been with small, medium and big dogs with zero issues. Raider went to a foster, but her dog didn’t like him, so he came back, but while there we learned a lot about him. He acts like he hasn’t been in a house, except he’s house trained. He is a counter surfer and trash panda, and pretty needy for attention. However! He crated well, was super sweet and cuddly, and has done great meeting everyone. An obedience class would do him wonders and help build a bond with his new people. He is not for beginner giant breed owners. He will need a fenced yard, and all animals in the home must be fixed. We haven’t introduced him to cats in person, but he walked past cat kennels at the shelter with no issue (cats running in the house can always elicit a different response). 3/13/2818

Herb: is a 9 month old Saint Bernard/Mastiff mix in need of a new home. He is good with dogs and kids. Not sure how he is with cats. Very playful and friendly!!! House trained. His family is allergic and despite all they have tried, they just can’t make it work. Herb will be a very big dog. Fenced yard required. All animals in the house must be fixed. 2/20/2818

Heidi: came into our program with her friend ” Harley-Ho Ho” which she does not seem to mind if he is around or not, but Harley does depend on her and misses her when she is not around, so they would like to be adopted together. Heidi is a very large girl on Jan 23rd, she weighed 142. lbs. She is very tall as well. both the dogs need a grain free diet. She is very loving and loves a good tummy rub. ( we are told she is housebroken but do Not grantee it) The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. PIXEL: IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Pixel is a 2 year old Akbash (mix?) who came to us from the Pocatello shelter. She came in with a skin condition, but it has been determined she does great on grain free food. Pixel is great with other dogs and kids! She does have separation anxiety so will need someone that can work with her on this, or is home a lot so she can be with her people. Pixel is also a guard dog breed, so can get protective of her people. She would do great on a farm where she can be outdoors doing her instinctual guarding during the day, and inside with her people at night. Pixel is house trained and very playful. She would do great in a home with another dog to help with her anxiety. 2/5/2018

Dookie: IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER FAMILY! Dookie is approximately 9 years old, and is a big cuddly bear. Good with bigger dogs, NO small animals. Fenced yard needed, and he would love someone who works from home or is home quite a bit. Not absolutely necessary, just his preference. 2/1/2018

Gunter: is a 5yo neutered male rough coat. His owner is needing to rehome him. He needs a home as an only dog with no small children where he can get all the attention all the time.1/30/2018

Sadie: is a 2yr old female long haired Saint. She is a smaller, athletic Saint, about the size of a Golden Retriever. Sadie came to us from a shelter where she was relinquished by her owner. She had been living in horrible conditions in a muddy backyard with no training and little interaction with others. Sadie is underweight; when she arrived she weighed 74lbs. She is eating like a champ and starting to gain weight and is cleaned up and looks much better than when she first came in. Sadie’s target weight is at least 90lbs. Sadie is doing great transitioning to an indoor dog. She is good in the house and has not chewed on things she is not supposed to. She gets along great with the two dogs she is living with and loves to play with them. Occasionally, she chases the household cats but stops in her tracks with a firm “No Cat” command. She is housebroken and is learning manners and how to pay attention. She needs an owner who can set limits with her and stand by then. Sadie needs more practice learning to walk on leash and would benefit from an obedience class with her new owner. Her public manners need work because she gets so excited to be in new places. She is friendly with everyone she meets and will give kisses, but she definitely needs to rein in her exuberance. She seems to love car rides. She can be fearful of loud noises. She is good about having her ears, feet, etc handled. Her former owner stated she has lived with children and is very tolerant and playful with them. Sadie does “mouth” your hand when she gets excited and wants attention, so that will require a little training. She is currently learning that she does not get attention until she calms down. She would do best in a household with other dogs to keep her company and with an owner who has plenty of time to spend with her and love to give to her. Sadie is UTD on shots, microchipped, HW negative and is scheduled to be spayed in the next week. 1/19/2018

Petunia: is a baby at just 5-6 months old and is FULL of energy! No lazy households for this girl! She is a Great Dane mix (we are thinking possible Catahoula? What do you think?) She is just a love and sweet as can be with other dogs and kids. Petunia is full of P & V and will keep you on your toes, so she will need an active household that will take her places, let her run, take her hiking or on lots of walks, etc. We would like her to go to a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard. All other animals in the home must be fixed. 1/18/2018

LUCY: IS A DERPY DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH! Well, our Lucy girl keeps getting overlooked somehow. She is a wonderful girl, she just needs someone to give her a chance to settle in and get comfortable. Lucy does not do well with small animals, but will do great with a happy go lucky bigger dog. No young kids either please as they make her nervous (over 8 years old preferred). Lucy is sweet as sugar and does the Dane lean against your legs for comfort or attention. Lucy is house trained and not destructive when left alone. She is ready to go to her new home. 1/18/2018

Beauty: is a high energy alpha female Saint. The first comment when people see her is how pretty she is and what a beautiful wavy coat she has. Beauty knows her commands, can self entertain, loves walks, attention, body rubs and is house-trained. Beauty is spayed, micro chipped and current on her vaccines. She weighs 120 and has been working on building up her bones since she had a broken elbow when she was rescued. Most of the time you can’t even notice a slight limp which doesn’t slow her down. Beauty loves all people, but is choosy about her canine companions that must be submissive to her and enjoy playing hard. She needs a family with prior experience with setting rules with big dogs. Beauty is working on her socialization skills and would love to meet you.1/8/2018

Morty: is 6 month old rough coat male that we rescued from his owner. He is a sweet pup that is very playful, loves meeting people, good with kids and other dogs. Morty is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, house trained but being he is still a puppy he could use some obedience training.1/3/2018

Daisy: is 8 month old rough coat female that we rescued from her owners. She is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, and rides great in the car.
