Sadie: is a gorgeous 9 year old girl who came to us from Pocatello with her brother Buddy (who has been adopted). Their owner passed away, they went to separate homes, and both ended up in the shelter. Sadie is a super sweet girl! She is going blind and deaf and is incontinent, which is being pretty well managed with Proin, but she does still have accidents occasionally. She has done well with her canine foster sibling, but is not fond of the cats or chickens.12/29/2015

GEGE: GEGE IS STILL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER FAMILY!!! She is a 1 1/2 year old Great Dane mix, weighing in at about 100 pounds. GeGe is so fun, playful and loving! She absolutely adores her canine brother Trig and they play until they drop! She also lives with a tiny dog who she is mostly okay with but gets very curious when the little one starts running away…we are recommending she go to a home with another bigger dog for her to play with! She was tested around cats and was fine, but an introduction is always recommended. GeGe is mostly black with some interesting Merle markings! Won’t you consider making GeGe part of your family? She would love to come home with you for Christmas! Please apply to adoption application.12/29/2015

Bronx: is a very playful and affectionate Saint Bernard. He loves attention from people, and loves to play with other dogs, but he can get a bit rough sometimes. He does not like to go outside by himself, most of the time, and prefers to be inside with people. While not actually aggressive towards cats, he get very excited and tries to play with them, but gets too rough. Bronx would do very well in a one dog, no cats home. He can get exuberant, and does not really mind very well yet. He needs work on coming when his name is called, as well as some leash manners. We are estimating Bronx to be about 2 years old. He is heartworm positive. 12/29/2015

Esme: One of Sophie’s puppies. Estimated to be about 3 months old as of the beginning of November. 1/2 Saint, and 1/2 black dog blend of some sort! Cute and playful!12/29/2015

Duke-02: Hi my name is Duke-02 you see that another Dane came in about the same time and he was Duke-01 and we did not want to get mixed up. But just like the other Duke I am just a big lap dog how is looking for a new lap to sit in. They say that I am pretty tall but at two years old I am still growing so you might need a second person to help with the lap duties.12/23/2015

Hades: is a big lovable boy with a bad name. He is calm and loves everyone.
He just needs a home that will love him forever.
12/23/2015

Marshall: is a 6 month old Great Dane puppy who was returned to our rescue because he was to rough with the young boy in the house.
So now he will only be placed in a home where the youngest child is over 10 years old. The good news is he still only has one goal in life at this young age and that is to play, rest and play some more. He loves everyone and everything and has never met a stranger. His new home must continue his obedience training and teaching him where he fits into to his new house. It is a lot easier training a 60-70 lbs puppy than a 120-150 lbs dog. If you are interested in him do not wait, he will not be staying in our rescue long.
12/23/2015

Miss Aidyn Faith: This is Miss Aidyn Faith, a 2.5 year old female St. Bernard who would prefer a home without another dog. Miss Faith likes to get all the attention and hugs! She is a good girl who likes car rides and hanging out with her person. She is a bit timid at first but once she is comfortable she is your shadow. Aidyn Faith is a good watchdog, too.12/23/2015

Duke-1: is about 2 years old fun loving male who is very tall.
Duke-1 has never meet a stranger and loves other dogs cats and kids.

12/21/2015

Wilson: is a rough coat neutered male. His owner became pregnant. The baby Daddy says I’ll marry you, but you gotta dump the dog, so she did. This guy is super sweet and loving. Please help him find his forever home. 12/19/2015

CHANCE:is a 1 1/2 year old male gorgeous Saint Bernard. He will need an understanding, fairly quiet home where he can feel safe and secure. No children. Chance is an absolute sweetheart once he feels comfortable with you and walks well on the leash. He is house trained, and has done well with other dogs. He has been through professional training. He will need a strong, patient, calm leader that can spend time with him and show him the world is not a scary place. He does know some commands and responds very well to hot dogs 🙂 12/14/2015

Walle: One of Sophie’s puppies. Estimated to be about 3 months old as of the beginning of November. 1/2 Saint, and 1/2 black dog blend of some sort! Cute and playful!

12/13/2015

Grace: is a sweet girl estimated to be 2-3 years old. She is a beautiful smaller sized Saint, but don’t let her size fool you, she is very strong! Grace is full of energy and loves people. Grace came into rescue from a horrible backyard breeding situation. She had just had a litter of puppies, was very emaciated and starved for attention. Grace is being fostered with a 7 year old male Saint and a 5 month female Saint. Grace is amazing with the puppy and slowly but surely she is gaining the trust of the older male. Grace does wonderfully in the home, she is house trained, shows no separation anxiety, and for the most part has excellent manners. Her new owner will need to work with her to come on command and not jump on people. Grace is an exceptionally nice dog and will do best in a home with older children and where she gets lots of attention. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for heartworms. Grace is being fostered in the Austin, TX area. 12/12/2015

Jackson: Well unfortunately Jackson is looking for another family – Her potential adopters had an accident with one of their dogs over their vacation and now have decided they need to spend time rehabbing and tending to him and figured now is not the time to add to their family. Jackson’s vice is she chases chickens so probably best for a home without chickens – she wasn’t actually killing them, she chased them till they died – seems to do ok with cats and smaller dogs – It appears they left her out all day and she used the chickens as entertainment. She does well with other dogs once she gets to know them – definitely a follower not a leader One of ours is a very dominant (spoiled) male and after several discussions they are now very good friends… We haven’t had her around real young children yet but she seems to be great with around 8 yr old range and don’t foresee an issue with little kids as she is pretty tolerant with everything She is a very sweet girl looking for someone to spend time with her. 12/7/2015

Abner: This sweet boy was found as a stray in central Illinois. There are only amazing things to be said about him. Sweet, house trained, loved by and loves all. Great for car rides and working on his leash manners. He is in need of some serious groceries but we are working in that. His name is Abner and he is roughly 2 years old. He has some growing left to do but will be on the smaller side for the boys of his breed. Would you like to make Abner part of your forever home? 12/6/2015

Zeke: This sweet boy was saved by his veterinarian. Kudos to her for not letting his owner euth him because they wee negligent on his care when he has an intestinal parasite. ISBR was called and we stepped In and took this sweet one year old boy. He is up to date on vaccines and neutered. Zeke loves everyone he meets including dogs and children. Want to make this guy part of your forever home.? Fill out an application online. He is great for walks and car rides. What a great dog he would be for any family. 12/6/2015

Tank: is a 9 month old Saint Bernard. He needs to be in a home with females or as an only dog. He has issues with some males. He’s very friendly and loving and adores kids! 12/2/2015

Athena: is a hot mess. She has hip dysplasia. She has been evaluated at the University of Tennessee Veterinarian Center and at this time does not need surgery. She could need surgery a year from now or she could never need it. If she remains pain free it may never be necessary. If you’re interested in adoption Athena it will be written in the contract that if at any time she does need hip replacement our rescue will pay for it. Athena is also great with other dogs and loves to play. 12/2/2015

Nate: is a 9 to 10 month old Swiss Mountain Dog (Bernese Mountain Dog)/ Lab mix. He is a sweet fun loving ball of fur. Nate does need someone who is ready to take on his training. He learns very quickly but he has to have someone who is in charge. He is a true diamond in the ruff, but with a little time and some training he will be a great family member. 11/24/2015

Delilah: is an 8 year old Great Pyrenees who is sweet and loving girl. Delilah weighs in at about 90 lbs. and is up to date on all shots. She is very calm and loves being with her people. So if you are looking for a beautiful quiet loving girl she is the one. 11/24/2015

Roxy: is 3 yrs old and a very sweet dog, she just loves attention. She wants to be a house dog, if left outside she will dig out of a yard, so a strong fence or hot wire is required for her to be outside alone. She is good with cats and kids and other dogs as long as she can be the boss, she can be an alpha dog. We are told that she is house broken, and has some basic obedience training. She would love to be sleeping on your bed tonight! The adoption fee includes all shots, heartworm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. When we took her in Fife only weighed 76lbs, was dirty, matted, and had a open wound behind her right ear. We had a complete blood panel done and it came back normal. So all Fife needs is a loving home that will give her lots of TLC. She is vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. 11/14/2015

Sally: is a 3yr smooth coat female that was released to us by her owner because she can’t care for her anymore. When she was a pup a Husky attacked her and bit her on the skull which broke her jaw and left a scar on the top of her head. She spent 9 months at the vet hospital and then one the vet techs became her new owner until now. We believe she has trouble seeing out of her right eye but other then that she is totally healthy and loves attention. If you would let her she will sit in your lap and give you kisses. Sally is fine with other dogs but she has never been around small children so only older children please. Sally is spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. She has completed her training at our trainers and whoever adopts her will get 2 free lessons with our trainer. 11/14/2015

Cheyenne: & Gretchen: are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are 3 years old, sisters, both have a half mask and one blue eye. They like playing, going for rides, other dogs and love, love, love people. They previously lived with a six year old girl who loved them but she had severe allergies, so the girls came to our rescue. Both are very sweet, loving, gentle and where you see one, you see the other. They attend our adoption events and everyone there has to come over and give this stunning pair loves. Their former owners would take them for evening walks and ended up meeting all their neighbors every night because they were a neighborhood favorite. 11/102015

Thorin: is a gorgeous almost 3 year old Saint who unfortunately does not like chickens and had a few run ins with neighbor chickens, and his family had to rehome him. He is incredibly loving and sweet, excellent with other dogs, very playful, and completely ignores cats. He is also wonderful with kids! He is dang near the perfect dog. Thorin is potty trained, and VERY playful! We are recommending a home with another playful dog for Thorin to be buddies with. 11/5/2015

Daisy: is a 5 yr old smooth coat female that we rescued along with her brother Duke from their owner who could no longer take care of them. She is a sweet girl about average size that loves everybody, good with dogs big and small, and even good with cats. Daisy is vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. She is a mellow girl that likes to go for rides in the car, walks, or just hanging out with the family. 11/1/2015

Maleficent: is a shy girl at first but she warms up fairly fast. She thinks that she is the size of a Chihuahua and strives for attention at all times. She is good with other dogs. Maleficent has been around pit bulls, Australian shepherd mix, and a Chihuahua. She was very intrigued by the cats in her foster home at first but found out they weren’t quite as interesting as she thought they might be. She loves to curl up on the couch and take a snooze…..but watch out she does have a loud man snore. 11/1/2015

Zeus: is a stunning 5 year old Saint Bernard with gorgeous mahogany coloring!  Zeus is excellent with other dogs, cats and kids and is in fact acting as a nanny dog to his foster parents 2 month old baby girl.  Zeus loves everyone, is house trained, loves to play, and also loves cuddles.  He rides well in the car.  Zeus had an infected neuter site and had his scrotum removed.  He also had surgery on his eyelids, as there was too much tissue around the area and was rubbing on his eyes.  He is now recovered from both surgeries and doing excellent! 10/31/2015

PURNIMA: is a beautiful, 2 year old female. She is listed as a Pyrenees, but her demeanor and behavior demonstrate that she is an Akbash. Unlike the Pyrenees, she does not drool, has no odor, and she has more energy (should decrease as she is only 2 years old). Her perfect environment would be a place where she can guard and herd sheep or cattle, but would also be successful in a home that can give her several hours of intense exercise daily. Nima loves bananas and berries. and can be found gently pulling these treats from the plants in the garden. She enjoys rides on the back of the 4-wheeler and is also content to jog along side. If a car door opens, she hops in. She loves to ride. She has an independent nature, so when she is not feeling the need to exercise or work, you may find her relaxing or strolling wherever she wants. If she’s content in her activities, she will pretend she does not know her name. However, she will always “listen up” for a treat. The word “kitty, kitty” means treat to her-we aren’t sure why, but she will come running to “kitty, kitty.” Purnima is softer than a bunny. She is lovely to pet and has NO odor. Nima needs to work. She is very bored right now and the best placement for her is with an experienced LGD owner who can give her a job. 10/30/2015

Barry: and Nana: are 5 year old siblings who must stay together. They have been outside dogs their whole lives and although Barry doesn’t mind the comforts of a home, Nana is wary. They would do well on a farm provided they had sufficient shelter. The home they were in had a wonderful dog house that was air conditioned and heated. Nana gets along well with other dogs. Ruben: and Sophie: are 18 months old and also bonded and must stay together. They have not been socialized and are pretty much afraid of everybody and everything. Unknown at this time how they are with dogs, cats or kids. For now they will take a very patient family to work with them. It only takes a few minutes for them to gain your trust, but then a few hours later they forget and it takes a few more minutes again. They are housebroken and indoor dogs only. This will not have any effect on her quality of life going forward. 9/8/2015

Marshall: is a 4 month old 60 lbs Great Dane puppy. He has one goal in life at this young age and that is to play, rest and play some more. He loves everyone and everything and has never meet a stranger. His new home must continue his obedience training and teaching him where he fits into to his new house. It is a lot easier training a 60-70 lbs puppy than a 120-150 lbs dog. If you are interested in him do not wait, he will not be staying in our rescue long. 9/8/2015

Echo: Let me introduce myself, I’m Echo, a young shorthaired male. My birthday was in May which is when I turned one year old. I have to be adopted to a family that has giant breed experience and is alpha. I’m a real sweetie but came from a home that didn’t use the word NO. Therefore my manners are not what they should be. I love the kids as you can see by my pictures and absolutely love the water. I also look forward to my walks as my foster Mom is introducing me to all these new experiences – she is doing a great job! I really like the dogs I’ve met and am presently living with a couple of them. We don’t know about cats. I’ve been neutered and all shots are up to date, heartworm free and micro chipped. Will you be the one that gives me the continued training I need to be a well socialized member of society? I just have to learn! 9/5/2015

Tank: is one handsome, loveable and playful one year old boy. Tank’s favorite place to be is having his big paws wrapped around you giving you hugs or him lying on the ground and you giving him belly rubs. He loves to run around and play. Tank would need to be the only dog in the home because he was never socialized with other dogs. Tank has all the hearts in the rescue wrapped around his big paws – we really love this guy and who couldn’t because you can’t help but smile and laugh when you are around Tank. 9/3/2015

Romeo: is three years old and he is a big playful love bug. He loves people from babies to seniors and cats too. He loves to be petted and walked. He will also have spontaneous moments of play. His favorite toy is a rope that he enjoys having tugged. He’s very good with adults and older (6+ children). Elmo is curious about other animals and will chase cats so a no cat home would be best for him. Small dogs have visited him and he got along fine with them. Larger dogs are a question mark as he might not get along with them. Elmo is a very cool fellow that deserves lots of love and a stable forever home. He would make a wonderful companion. 8/28/2015

Abby: After being fostered by a shelters staff member Abby was adopted out to a family with another smaller dominate female. A mishap occurred and Abby found herself back at the shelter. Another rescue group for another breed stepped up and grabbed Abby for ISBR. She is a sweet living gal who would do best in a home with submissive dogs. She house trained and crate trained. She loves car rides and to go for s walk. Can you give Abby her forever home? 8/28/2015

He is about 20lbs under weight and because he is young boy we recommend some basic obedience training. 8/16/2015

MAGGIE: is an amazing 6 year old Great Dane mix! She is very tall and currently very skinny, but we are working on that. Maggie is a love bug and will take all the attention and affection you can give her. She has done well meeting other dogs and even cats, although her former owner had said she was not good with small animals…however we have not seen that in her. She sniffs at cats and walks away. Maggie is currently in boarding so she needs a foster or adopter. 8/15/2015

Cooper: Cooper came to our rescue by way of animal control. He had a run-in with someone who did not treat him kindly. When he came to us his pelvis was broken along with a front foot. Well during all this everyone who came in contact with him said the same thing “He is the sweetest dog we have ever met”. So now that the surgery is behind him and the world is open before him, he is now looking for a best friend to go exploring. Cooper is half Saint half Collie we think. 8/12/2015

Rocky: Hello my name is Rocky; I am a one year old Great Dane / Great Dane mix. I get along with dogs, kids, cats and most people. I am not sure about men, my dad got deployed so I have not been around to many of them. But give me a little time and I will become your best friend. Rocky is about 120 lbs.(and growing) and needs someone with giant breed experience. 8/12/2015

PATCHES: AND RUSH: are a dynamic duo! They are a bonded pair who need to be adopted together. Their owner was moving and was unable to take them. Patches (female) is 6, and Rush (male) is 5. They came to us very matted and had to be shaved down. Both dogs are incredibly sweet and do well with other dogs. Rush is very calm, cool and collected, and Patches is a little more assertive, and alert to her surroundings. They have been outdoor dogs most of their lives so they will begin potty training at their foster home. As with all of the rescues dogs, they will be indoor family dogs. 8/10/2015

RushPatches

Tasha: (TX) Tasha is a 6yr old Saint Bernard, Great Dane mix. She weighs 120 lbs and thinks she is a lap dog. The reason why Tasha is looking for a new forever home is her owner had to move to a smaller apartment that she could afford. Unfortunately she was unable to take Tasha with her. Tasha was with her former owner since she was a baby. Tasha has been in my home for a few weeks and just fits in like one of the family, she has a fantastic sweet demeanor. She currently lives here with 3 teenagers, 2 other dogs and 3 cats and they get along well, it only took me 15 minutes of introductions and they are all friends. Tasha is very much and indoor dog although she loves her walks. She is in great health, altered and up to date on all of her shots and heart worm medicine. She was well taken care of and is in need of a new loving home to call her next forever home. 8/8/2015

Shannon: Meet Shannon. A senior girl by birth alone (dob 8/21/2005). She is a sweet loving gal who even though tossed aside by her only family she ever knew she loves life. Shannon is great with kids, cats and dogs. She loves hanging out in her crate so a crate is a must for her (even with door open). she has been vetted and had blood work ran. Her blood work shows she is perfectly healthy. We started her on a low dose of Deramaxx (NSAIDs) , because we all get aches and pains as we age. She is doing amazing in her foster home but wants her own forever home. 8/7/2015

Beethoven: is a very handsome boy. These pictures are from when he first came into the rescue. He has since been groomed and his coat has really filled out and it is gorgeous. Beethoven is laid back, loves cuddles, being brushed and people. 8/4/2015

Freedom: is one very happy guy to be in the rescue. We received a phone call that there was a very emaciated Saint mix at the county shelter and could we help him. When we looked into his kennel he was laying down and not moving, even when we spoke to him softly and rubbed his nose. You could see all his bones, skin hanging, sores, and missing hair from flea allergies. We thought we would have to carry him out and also worried he wouldn’t make it. When the shelter worker opened his kennel he saw freedom and he dragged me out of the shelter, to the car, jumped in, where he cried with joy and gave us kisses all the way to the vets. We believe he is a Saint/Great Dane mix and he only weighed 74 pounds. Freedom has gained over 20 pounds so far, he has more to gain, is getting his hair back, and all the sores have healed. He is such a love bug.8/4/2015

Heidi: is a gorgeous girl with legs that go from here to there and a beautiful mane of hair. She is four years old, knows all her manners and doggy commands. Heidi is a quite girl who lived with and loved an autistic boy, but when the family grew to nine gifted children, it became a bit too much for her. She likes other dogs and cats. Heidi is a very tall and long bodied saint who loves morning and evening walks or to just cuddle up by you. 8/4/2015

HENRIETTA: IS HERE! To meet her is to love her. This gal is the sweetest being on the planet and so gentle. She just wants loves and belly rubs and a good walk! The minute I walked in to Emerald Street Kennels to meet her they said, “Oh Henrietta is awesome! Can’t you leave her here with us for a little while?” Her age has been said to be 4 and also 10 but if I had to guess I would say around 7? She came to the Cache Humane Society in Utah matted and with a staph infection on her tail and rear area which is why she is shaved. She will be completely shaved shortly as the rest of her is matted as well. Henrietta is great with other dogs but will growl if they pester her too much, and she is pretty indifferent to other moving creatures. She is doing well with the foster parents’ child who is 9. 8/4/2015

Mondo: is 85 pounds of pure love! He is a Saint Bernard/Lab mix. He is a healthy, active guy who would love to be someone’s hiking/camping/fishing partner, and then go home and cuddle on the couch. Mondo loves people and gets along with dogs, cats, kids and farm animals too! He is the perfect catch! He was surrendered yesterday and will be taken immediately to the vet to get neutered, updated on all his shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. 8/4/2015

Prudence and Theo were rescued from the Animal Foundation after they were not reclaimed. 7/27/2015

DOLLY: is a true gentle giant. She showed up at a home in Twin Falls, and the family looked very hard for Dolly’s family, but no one came forward to claim her. Dolly is now in Boise in a loving foster home. We are guessing her age to be close to 2-3. She has had babies recently, but her milk is dried up. Dolly is tall, very long and incredibly skinny. We will get some weight on her, get her spayed, all her shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. Dolly is a very mellow loving dog and all she wants is a family to call her own. She loves sleeping on the bed and being close to her people, but is not destructive when left alone. Dolly gets along with dogs, cats and would do great with kids of all ages due to her gentle nature. She walks extremely well on leash, is house trained and knows some basic commands. She is the dog you can take anywhere and everyone will fall in love with her and not much seems to phase her. 7/23/2015

Poppy: Howdy, I’m Poppy! I’m just a puppy, at only 8 weeks old. I’m a female Saint Bernard and Great Pyrenees mix. I’m still equipped with puppy breath and puppy teeth. Adorable, right? Right now though, I’m not handing out many puppy kisses. Sadly, I was just hit by a car and taken into an animal shelter. No one ever came looking for me, and the shelter knew I was in pain so they contacted the nice people at the Idaho Saint Bernard Rescue. The ISBR got me straight to a vet, where I had X-rays, and was diagnosed with a badly broken leg and they discovered I was covered with fleas and ticks, matted and filthy. I’m a super, super sweet girl, but I’m in a lot of pain and deserve a better start to life.
An awesome foster home has taken me in, but my surgery is going to be expensive. I’ve heard the humans discussing it and they are looking at about $2,000 to get me healthy again. My broken leg is pretty bad and the repair is complicated since it is through my knee cap and I’m still growing. Just my initial consult was over $500. My surgery is scheduled for Monday, but the rescue needs help paying for it. Please, please help the rescue and me out by donating money towards my surgery. I can’t wait to run and play and give puppy kisses again soon. Every dollar helps me towards a full recovery!
7/20/2015

Moe: 2 year old boy who is fixed, up to date on shots and is heartworm negative. Moe is a very gentle sweet boy who is good with cats, dogs and people. Also someone give him the worse hair cut we have ever seen, luckily it is growing back but the other dogs are still making fun of him (poor guy). 7/20/2015

BAILEY: is a stunning 5-6 year old Brazilian Mastiff who came to us as an owner surrender. We immediately took her to a vet as she had a golf ball size lump and it turned out to be a Grade 2 mast cell tumor. She had a successful surgery to remove the lump, and has a pretty good prognosis. Once she gets past the 2-3 month mark with no new lumps, the vet feels she will be on the home stretch. Bailey is the most mellow, sweetest dog imaginable. She loves everyone, gets along with dogs, and the kitties in her foster home are her new best friends! She is loving having a back yard to play in, roll around on, chew her antler, and just hang out. But she does sleep on the bed, nice and close to her foster mom. Bailey does well with kids as well! Bailey does have chronic ear problems, but with daily cleanings, it shouldn’t be an issue. 7/12/2015

Clyde: & Stella: are brother and sister. Have been together since birth so would like to stay together as they enjoy each other’s company. They were just a year old in Feb. of 2015 so are just puppies. They are wonderful with people and have been to the dog park on occasion. They have not had much formal training so please know this prior to adopting. They are both up to date on shots, are both altered and Heart Worm free. Daphne: is a sweet and lovable 2 year old female saint. We have no information as to her background other than she appeared as a stray, fearful and with little training. She has proven she is a very motivated learner. She is currently learning to sit, lay down, and to heal on walks. She is still cautious around strangers, but warms with encouragement. She is great around children. At her foster home she lives with two other dogs . Due to her recent spaying she has not been to the dog park to be around other dogs and continue her socialization. As most adolescent dogs, Daphne needs obedience and behavioral training to keep her exuberance as an asset. She is willing to give much love to an individual or family who might give her the attention she deserves. 7/10/2015

Tia: Meet Mis Tia! She was Rescued from a breeder and had emergency surgery 3 weeks after we got her. She collapsed 3 days after being spay and they found she had a tumor on her pancreas. She will live a normal life and probably die of old age. She will be 7 in June. She would really like to find someone who isn’t scared of the word CANCER!!! As far as we know they got all of the tumor. Her foster parents say Tia is probably the most people attentive dog they have seen! I don’t think you would ever have to have a leash on her. She’s very receptive to being disciplined and listens to everything you tell her. Since her surgery, she has gotten to a very healthy weight and I think we need to cut back on her food a bit! 🙂 She’s a happy happy girl who just wants to hang with someone… We bring her to the office with us and her favorite spot to lay is in front of the bathroom so that anybody that has to go to the bathroom has to step over her, and, of course, pet her! 🙂 7/5/2015

Hank: Hank is a 7 year old Boarder Collie that was dropped off at the shelter by his family because they could not afford his surgery. Well he was too nice of a guy to end this way so we got him out and took him to our vet, the surgery went fine (fatty mass) and now he is looking for his next job. Hank does great with other dogs and kids, also walks pretty well on the leash. 7/2/2015

HEMI: has been a kennel dog most of his three years. He is shy and timid but mellow. Hemi loves to be brushed and loved on he. He is over weight right now, but with daily walks and exercise that can be fixed. When he is let out of the kennel to run he doesn’t run off, he stays right here. Hemi isn’t trained to sit and stay or anything like that, but he comes to a can of food every time! 6/30/2015

Finnegan: What can we say except ‘WOW’ what a gorgeous guy he is! Finnegan loves people, getting attention from people, and playing with people. He plain loves people of all ages. He is a little shy right now but who can blame him…he just finished making a long trip from another state where he was a stray and had bonded with the people who found him. He cried when his foster dad put him in the transport ladies car to come to Arizona. We think his foster dad had a tear too and would have kept him but their current dog didn’t like Gator and had just had major surgery. 6/25/2015

Here is what her foster mom Marianne said: This puppy is the sweetest thing ever! She has bursts of energy and then settles down. She follows us and Ozzy all over the place. She looks to Ozzy for direction and I really think he’s helped her feel a little more secure, especially considering all she’s been through even just today. When I look at her I think of either Bella or Lily, but Lily just seems to fit her more. Lily is available for adoption. 6/21/2015

Shana: lived the first five years of her life on a chain. This gal is over the top loving her new life. She is crate trained, house trained and learning the ropes of being a house dog. Caroline: is a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees Mix. She adores people and is as sweet as they come. She is fearful of other dogs so at this time we are unable to say whether or not she will get along with another dog. Unknown yet about cats also. She would make a great companion for a single person or a family with children. 6/4/2015

Ruby: is the third of the four 6 month old pups. She is current on her shots and being spayed. 6/4/2015

Caroline: is a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees Mix. She adores people and is as sweet as they come. She would make a great companion for a single person or a family with children. 6/4/2015

He gets along well with dogs, cats and kids but we believe he would prefer a quiet home with an older person or persons. 6/4/2015

SYDNEY: is a beautiful 9 year old one-eyed Kuvasz. She is sweet as can be and gets along with all furry creatures big and small! She is pretty mellow and just wants to be with her people and take naps, with occasional walks. She sometimes gets playful and wants to play with other dogs. Sydney was on the streets for quite awhile, and due to her scavenging for food for so long, she has become very protective of her food. I will not allow her to be adopted to a home with little kids for this very reason. Sydney just needs someone to guide her and show her proper behavior with regards to food, and allow her to trust them. She would make a great traveling partner too! She absolutely loves car rides. 6/3/2015

LOUIE: is a three year old neutered male. Louie has a great personality and does ok with another dog as long as he has time to get to know it. He has been around younger children and has not had any problems, except he gets excited and can knock over the little ones because of his size and even the bigger ones if you don’t keep up on his manners. 6/3/2015

Lola: Lola is an 11 month old bundle of loving fun, she was brought into a house with a little toy dog who she wanted to play with. It turns out she is just too playful and her new owners were afraid she would hurt the little guy so she came to our rescue. She has been spayed is up to date on all shot and weighs in at 80 lbs. So when she gets full size she will be big. 6/1/2015

Miracle: Miracle is an 18 month old energetic puppy, whose only goal in life is to play, play, and play some more. She came to our rescue from an owner surrender and she was in rough shape. With some time good food and a warm comfortable bed her loving and sweet disposition is coming out more and more. She is looking for an active home to continue with her training and play with her a lot. 6/1/2015

NEWMAN: Poor old man Newman. He showed up on a dairy farm one day and stayed there for weeks. No owners came looking for him 🙁 He is matted, not neutered (yet), but is microchipped, so he belonged to somebody once. The vet put his age at approximately 8 years old. Newman’s teeth are horrific! He is going to need a full dental, and possibly some teeth pulled. Currently it is difficult for him to eat regular dry food so the foster dad is wetting it down and making it easier. Newman also needs neutered. Newman is the sweetest guy in the world and all he wants is love. He deserves the best! He will make someone an amazing foot warmer and as you can see he loves the water! He gets along with all living creatures and just wants attention and to be near his people. 5/18/2015

Brandi: Brandi is a 4 to 5 year old who was taken away from her house by animal control. She is up to date on her shots and heart-worn negative. The big problem is a skin issue we are working through, it looks like it came from the crate she was living in (it was made from pressure treated lumber). Brandi is a super sweet girl who was not socialized so she is looking for a new best friend to show her the world.
She gets along great with other dogs and wags her tail at the cat. If she is not sure about something new she will move behind you and let you take the lead.

He is a sweet playful boy that loves to go on walks at the park or just hang out with the family. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Goofy Bear: has cute wrinkles and affectionately called airplane ears. His name fits him to a tee, but you could also call him loving teddy bear too. He is currently living with his foster mom Kim and fur friend Lily. Kim says he has conquered the stairs and doggy door and is great in the house. Goofy Bear is estimated to be no more than 4 years old, but he acts much younger, so we could be way off there. 4/13/2015

Zeus: is a handsome 11 month old Saint / Mastiff mix. He loves to play, get and give hugs, play with his doggy friends, and give loves. He is pictured with his new best friend, Izzy, who comes to visit the boarding kennel. Zeus has the Saint head, disposition, and some of the Saint markings, his body has mainly the brindle markings of the Mastiff. Zeus is so loving and sweet. 4/13/2015

King: is quite the handsome new guy in the rescue. He really loves people, lived with children, and likes other dogs. King was once a very loved family saint, but family problems arose and he was kicked to the backyard. He had no shelter and went through some terrible storms. Neighbor said he sat and cried through the storms all the while getting drenched to the bone. King is a very loving and sweet guy. 4/13/2015

Coco Puff: is a very sweet and beautiful 3 year old girl. She loves to play, likes other dogs, and teenagers and adults. She is just a big fluffy playful lovebug of a saint and she is beautiful too. 4/13/2015

Ruby Jo: is a dear 4 year old female St. Bernard who was rescued from the St. George, Utah Animal Shelter by H.A.R. T. a Utah Rescue but they do not have space for her so they contacted our Rescue.
Ruby Jo is doing well in her foster home. She is friendly and gets along with other dogs. Spayed, shots, microchip.
4/10/2015

LUNA: is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix (possibly Akbash?). She is about 2 years old and an incredibly loving, sweet dog! She craves attention from her people. Luna initially was scared and was growly and not nice with the foster family’s dogs, but now, after only 2 days, she just wants to play! This is one resilient pup! Luna has been around the rooster of the property and couldn’t care less about him. She is doing very well in her crate, and has not had any accidents in the house, despite her being an outdoor only dog up until recently. Luna is learning some commands, but will need some obedience training. She is approximately 75 pounds with a gorgeous cream colored coat. The foster family tried to keep her outside, but she wouldn’t stop barking until they brought her in. This girl was abandoned and left in a kennel for who knows how long, so who can blame her? While she will need a job to do, she will also need to be a big part of the family. Her back dewclaws will be removed per the vet’s instructions. When she came to the rescue, her dewclaws had grown into the pads and were very infected. Despite everything she has been through, she is an amazing dog who wants nothing more than lots of belly rubs and a good brushing! 4/10/2015

Chloe: Great Dane you say? Yes we at iSBR love our Saints but occasionally we are given the opportunity to help out other Giants. Chloe came to us from a mutual rescue friend who saw her FTGH on Craigslist. Knowing she could end up in the wrong hands she had her owners relinquish her to her. She then contacted ISBR to ask us if we could help. Sweet Chloe is very vocal and loves to tell everyone her story. She was loved but when her family fell on hard times she started venturing out to get in the neighbors garbage. Now in our care she is safe and having constant meals. She loves to play with her other giant foster sister, snuggle on your lap and sleep in bed. Miss Chloe is quite the entertainment in her foster home. 4/8/2015

Frankie: 9 mo old neuter male St Bernard
Tied up inside to one spot in house for the first 7 mo of his life.
Muscle tone improving since he has been able to play and get exercise.
EYE MD states he probably has no vision in right eye, but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
Gets along with other dogs, loves to play, lots of energy, foster mom says he is just a big goofy boy.
Learning some commands but needs someone to be his leader. Needs a forever home that has had previous St Bernard experience.
4/5/2015

Yukon: Meet Yukon who is about 16 mos. old. He was picked up as a stray and spent a couple of weeks in Animal Control where his owner never came to claim him. He is a love and meets everyone with a happy smile. He is housetrained and he did well at a Saint Bernard picnic with several other dogs – no problems at all. He is a good eater but is on the thin side. Groceries will help this boy a lot. Yukon loves to sleep on the couch in his foster home. He certainly deserves to have a better life as he is still a baby. 4/4/2015

Trumble: & Valen: are 3 1/2 year old, rough-coated bonded littermates looking for their forever home who need to be adopted together They were surrendered to rescue when their owner could no longer care for them Both dogs are friendly, good with other dogs and cats, love long walks and runs, car rides and lots of attention Trumble, the male, is the more outgoing tail-wagger of the pair while Valen is a sweet girl with soulful eyes who is a little more reserved and enjoys to be petted and talked to Both dogs have are well-behaved, have lived indoors and are housebroken, and have received some training. Because of their size they should probably go to a home with older children Both are neutered/spayed, microchipped and UTD on shots. 4/3/2015

Echo: is a smooth coated female Saint with tons of energy. She was surrendered to the shelter along with CJ after being abandoned by her family in the back yard. She is sweet and absolutely adores people. Echo also gets along with other dogs and cats. She needs to be adopted by a family who is home much of the time, as she does have some separation issues, probably due to her abandonment. She does not like to be crated or left out in the yard alone. She is currently being fostered in a separate home than CJ. Echo is young, probably between 1-2 years old. 4/2/2015

Annie: is a sweet, gentle soul. She is 4 and a half years old. She has only been in foster care for a brief period, but she is making the transition very well. Annie loves people and will follow whoever is moving around the house. She is also curious and will explore. She is very good with children. She gets along with other dogs but will chase cats if they run. Annie loves attention and will lay down for long periods of time with you. Her excitement can get the best of her and she will sometimes jump. She also has a little trouble listening. However, obedience training will help mitigate this. Annie is eager to please, so training should not be an issue and will benefit her and her forever family. 4/1/2015

Mozart: Mozart is a 4 year male that was surrender to a local shelter when the owner did not want him any longer. He is a very sweet and loving dog who is just looking for a new family to be a part of. 4/1/2015

Mac: When Mac’s original owner was deployed overseas and Mac started his bouncing from house to house with no one wanting to keep him long term. His home now has to give him up due to his size and playfulness (they have small children and the children have small friends). Mac enjoys a good game of tug-of-war but know to drop it on command. He also knows a number of other commands like “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “down” etc. His is 3 years old and weighs in at about 135 lbs. Mac is good with puppies, female dogs and most males, cats are an unknown. If you are looking for a big boy and can give him a loving home you will have a friend for life. 4/1/2015

Keko: Keko is a two year old who weighs in at 140 lbs. He came into our rescue because he is an escape artist. He grow too big for the house and was put outside, at that point he has repeatedly got out of the fenced in area and went looking for new friends. Keko is up to date on all shots and will be neutered this week. 4/1/2015

WALTER: His foster mom says: Seriously the best dog EVER! 6 yr old laid back boy. Gets along with other dogs, big and small. Kids of all ages. Some may say he is lazy, but I just think he requires a lot of rest to be that AWESOME!!!! 3/27/2015

Bella:, Max:, Captain: No, we are not Saints, but we still needed rescuing. We are 3 puppies, about 4 months old- supposedly American Bulldog mixes. We were found in a crate too small, no food or water, infested with tapeworms, hungry, thirsty, and had coccidia too. We are now fat and happy, and learning house manners! What fun it is to be loved and pampered for the first time ever! We are being fostered in the Houston area. Maybe we can join your family in the new year? 3/19/2015

Sebastian: is an amazingly sweet 7 year old neutered male Saint Bernard mix who has found himself without a family after 5 years because they were moving. I can’t understand it because he is such an easy dog, so mellow and loving, and just wants to be with his people. Sebastian has a continuous smile, and he makes you happy just to be with him. He is currently a little overweight, so we are working on his diet and exercise, trying to get him down about 20 pounds. This incredible guy is currently in boarding as he was so stressed at losing his home, he began marking at the foster home and they couldn’t keep him. His previous owner said he had never had an accident or marked in the house before, and we did have him tested for a UTI and kidney problems, and he is very healthy. We know once Sebastian is in a stable home with a patient person to show him proper indoor behavior, he will stop. He is very smart and so eager to please. Won’t you consider allowing Sebastian to sleep next to you on the couch for his naps, take him with you for car rides (he rides very well in the car and loves putting his head out the window!), taking him for walks to check out new things, and giving him the loving forever home he deserves? 3/17/2015

Walter: is a gorgeous 1 year old male. He is a big puppy who wants to run and play! He has done excellent with meeting other dogs, and has a low prey drive so he would probably be okay with cats, especially cats who aren’t afraid of dogs. Walter already weighs 106 pounds, so he is going to be a pretty big guy. He really likes to swim and his foster mom reports he has done very well off leash. Unfortunately, Walter was not taught much in his first year of life so he is learning everything now. His foster mom is a dog trainer and has been working steadily with him to help him not only with his obedience and commands, but helping him learn to trust. Walter currently has a hard time meeting strangers when he is on leash, but off leash he is fine. We believe he is feeling protective of his foster mom and that is causing this behavior, but she is working with him on this. His foster mom feels he will be ready for adoption within a couple weeks. Giant breed experience will be required as Walter is VERY strong and a little obstinate. He will need a strong pack leader. 3/16/2015

Saifu: has been in his current home since he was 8 weeks old living the life of luxury for 4 years. He has shared this home with 2 very small dogs and has been acquainted with several other dogs with no issues. Saifu is VERY active, and will fetch a ball over and over again. He would love someone to take him on hikes and walks. However, when the owners moved to a large property with goats, it became clear Saifu was not good with livestock. Before being neutered, he and a small unneutered male had an altercation and unfortunately there is very little room for that when a saint meets a Chihuahua. Now the family who loves him feels it would be best for him to be in another loving family. No other issues have been seen, and this appears to be an isolated incident between 2 males with hormone issues. We would recommend a home with an experienced giant breed caregiver and female fursisters. He is located in the Eugene area, and the potential adopter can meet him, spend time with him and have a meet and greet with your pets. Do you have room in your heart and lives to see Saifu for the good guy he is? 3/13/2015

Tyson: is a St Bernard Rescue Alumni who was adopted several years ago by a wonderful family. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Tyson needs to be re-homed and the family has asked us to help. He was very attached to the man of the house so it might be good for him to be in a home where the male will be the primary caregiver, but that is not a requirement to apply. Here is the bio his family sent us: Tyson is very healthy and doesn’t act 6 years old. He greets everyone when they come home with lots of love even if they’ve just gone down to check the mail. He likes to be in the same room as everyone and is great company. He is happy taking naps as long as he knows his person is close by. He loves tummy rubs, scratches under his chin, or any attention at all. He is a wonderful house dog and has never had an
accident or caused any damage. He is friendly with everyone, not a watch dog
and will greet the postman with lots of love.
3/13/2015

Sierra: is 3 ½ yr old smooth coat Saint/Mastiff female mix that was released to us by her owners because they are moving into apt that won’t take large dogs. She is a sweet girl that loves to go on walks or just hang out with the family. Sierra is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and house trained. She is good with other dogs and loves the water. 3/6/2015

Solomon: 10 month old male puppy good with children, cats and other dogs. 3/5/2015

Junior: Hello everyone I am Junior. I was born on August 29, 2014 and I have been playing ever since. Where I am living is great I get all the food I need and get to play a lot, but I sure would prefer my own home. So if you are looking for a new best friend just let me know. We believe Junior to be a Saint Bernard/Collie mix; he weighed 30 lbs. at his last vet visit so he is going to be a big boy. He is up to date on all his shots and has been neutered so he is ready to go. 2/23/2015

Frank: is 3 yrs old. Very friendly, good with other dogs, cats?? He walks well on a leash, unless he see’s something he wants then he pulls very hard. He needs a strong person. He knows sit. but loves food! He needs a strong fenced yard as he does dig, he loves to be with people and thinks he should be a house dog. 2/20/2015

Grizzly: is a short hair Great Dane wearing a Saint Bernard suit. He is 2 yr old. Loves people! Great car rider. We are told he knows: Sit, down, stay, lay down. His Bad Habits are” Whines when people are not paying attention to him, and jumping up to get things. Also: He pulls on a leash, and could be a pulling champion! a choke chain or prong collar and a strong person is strongly recommended. He gets along with other dogs, BUT: NO CATS. The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of dog food. 2/20/2015

Elmo: is a 3-4 year old neutered male Saint. He is gorgeous, and weighs in at 143 lbs. Elmo is mostly deaf, but can hear certain pitches of sound. He is excellent on a leash. Elmo is current on all vaccines, and tested negative for heartworms. Elmo does have some separation anxiety, and takes daily medication for it. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. Elmo loves kids, and gets along with other dogs. Living with another dog would probably help him with his separation issues also. You couldn’t ask for a sweeter addition to your family. He eats 4 cups of dry food daily, and loves dog biscuits! Elmo is housebroken, and has a gorgeous coat. He is a drooler! Elmo is being fostered in the Houston, TX area. 2/19/2015

Briscoe: is an absolutely gorgeous 8 1/2 month old purebred Newfoundland puppy. He is incredibly sweet and hilarious! Briscoe LOVES to play with other dogs! He was surrendered to the rescue as he would not stop going potty in their house, but he has not had one accident since being in the foster home. He is fully trained and knows MANY commands, including ringing the bell to go out to go potty. He knows sit, down, come, heel, stay and more. Briscoe is a big boy, weighing 85 pounds, and still has quite a bit of growing to do! Briscoe has never met a stranger, and is very gentle. His foster parents brought him to a brewery for a fundraiser last night and he did excellent with all the other dogs and people. He was sucking up the attention from everyone! 2/18/2015

Athena: is a beautiful 18 month old shorthair saint. She loves people, playing with other dogs, all around playing, and hugs. The day she came into the rescue she proceeded to greet everyone that came through the door no strangers for this girl. 10/30/2014

Boomer: is a big handsome gentle saint. He loves people so very much. He is very good with children. When he came into the rescue he was sitting in the backseat of the car between two little ones. He is very well mannered in the home and just wants to be with his family. This is currently the only picture we have of Boomer and more will be coming soon but why wait, come see him in person. 2/17/2015

Nana: Hello! We would like to introduce Nana. She is a very sweet approximated age of 8 years young. She came to us from a previous farm and is exceptional around animals AND people. She loves peanut butter as a treat but even more so just a hug and a pet. She loves to lay next to where you’re sitting and pretty much sleeps but does enjoy a casual walk. Won’t you give her a chance? She won’t let you down. 2/12/2015

ANGEL: HAS ARRIVED IN BOISE AND IS SAFE IN FOSTER! Thank you to new foster parent Hetty for taking Angel in. Angel is a 4 year old Saint Bernard/Retriever mix, weighing in at 85 pounds. Hetty has this to say about Angel: Wow this girl is amazing! I came home on a break to check on her. I apparently missed part of the front latch on the crate and the front folded down. She was sacked out in the living room. The cat was sleeping in my sons room happily. She doesnt bother the trash, gingerbread houses on the counter, turkey soup cooking in my crockpot. She will sit, stay, walks on a leash perfect. She sorta wanted to chase the first car that passed but I said no and she just stopped and walked with me. Truly amazing dog. She was very happy to see me when I got home, whined a little at my bedroom door when I went in to change out of work clothes-I think she was just nervous because I barely got home and then shut the door, she wants to be near me. I don’t think she probably does that normally, she sprawled in the living room while I was in the kitchen getting my tea. Quite a girl! 2/12/2015

Obediah: is a blind Saint Bernard who was neglected by his owners. He was removed by court order from his abuse and neglect and he was sent to a shelter and spent 10 months there before he was pulled and placed with our rescue. He is gentle loving dog who needs surgery to remove his cataracts. Without the surgery I fear he will never find his forever family. Special needs dogs are so hard to adopt. At 4 years old I would love for him to spend the 2nd part of his life with a loving family and with the ability to see. 2/12/2015

Luna: Luna is super sweet, completely house broken. I haven’t had any problems with her she does great with little dogs big dogs cats and kids. Luna is approximately 2 years old and ready for her new home. 2/9/2015

Charlie: was surrendered to rescue and now we know why. We found out that at just barely 2, he has a cruciate tear in his knee – this would make anyone grumpy! With more than a 50% chance of a 2nd knee going, Charlie hit the jackpot and will need both knees operated on in the next several months. The foster, Jeff has graciously offered to take responsibility for the surgeries and the aftercare but this is a financial hardship no foster should have to undertake and will cause great hardship for him – for a dog that isnt even his! 2/3/2015

DUKE: IS DOING GREAT IN FOSTER AND READY FOR ADOPTION! Foster mom Vicki reports that Duke is doing wonderful and relaxing finally. Duke is a younger (2-3?) Landseer Newfoundland mix (possibly Labrador). Duke was very scared when he arrived, but with the loving encouragement from Vicki, and playful attitude from her dog Cole, they are really helping Duke come out of his shell…he is even starting to play with toys! Duke is fine with cats, would do great with kids, and is a very mellow laid back guy who would probably love to lay at your feet and go on occasional walks. However, he has been an outdoor dog probably his whole life, so he is still learning potty training. He does NOT like the crate. He loves lounging in the living room, watching the world go by. He adores cheese and takes treats very gently. Duke will be neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and heartworm tested this coming week. 2/3/2015

CeCe: Hi everybody I am CeCe a big beautiful Blue Great Dane CeCe has not been socialized so she is not sure about a lot of things so it takes a little time form her to warm up to new situations but she is coming around (After 24 hours the foster was her best friend). On the plus side she’s great with other dogs. She will be 2 years old 9-23-15. 2/2/2015

Maddie: This is Maddie she is 11-12 month great Pyrenees. Super sweet loving girl she’s great with other dogs and even with cats as a typical puppy life is all about fun sleeping and then more fun. If you are looking for a new best buddy she would fit right in. 1/28/2015

Gertrude: My name is Gertrude. I was from an unwanted litter of pups and when no one wanted to take me I was handed over to ISBR. I’ve been loved and snuggled all my 9 months. I’m up to dates on vaccines and will be spayed prior to going to my new home. I’m house trained and learning basic manners from my foster mom. She takes me on car rides an spoils me as if i am her own. I had a luxating patella that was surgically corrected. I will always walk with a weird gate but it does not affect my everyday life. 1/26/2015

Obediah: is a four year old neutered male with very limited eyesight. He is good natured with people but would do best being the only dog in the house. He has some sight but needs to be treated as a blind dog. He loves to go for walks and play in the yard. He is currently receiving training in basic commands and socialization. He was an owner turn in and was in very poor condition. He was in a shelter for 10 months. He has never had a chance to be part of a loving home or to form a bond with other dogs. 1/22/2015

Macy: This is Macy. She was born early 2010. We know that her mom is chocolate lab and it appears her dad is Great Pyrenees. She has the double dew claws on both back feet. She has to have a fenced yard. She loves children and is good with other dogs and cats once she meets them properly. 1/22/2015

Charlie: Meet Charlie! He is an approximately 12-14 week old Saint Bernard mix (possibly Border Collie?) puppy He is incredibly friendly, great with kids, dogs, unsure about cats. LOVES to play chase and absolutely adores children! He loves to play with leaves, and eat snow! Charlie will be microchipped, UTD on shots, and heartworm tested before being adopted. 1/21/2015

Buddy : Meet Buddy! He is an approximately 6 year old neutered male who came to us with his sister Sadie from Pocatello. Their owner died, the dogs got split up, and somehow both ended up at the shelter Buddy is a big love bug! His foster parents and canine foster sister are all madly in love with Buddy. Foster mom Tori says Buddy walks well on leash, comes when called off leash, is very gentle but will paw at you when he wants more loves, and has done great with other dogs. He loves the bathtub and he also likes to be vacuumed!! He will do best with children over the age of 10. Buddy rides very well in the car and is very affectionate. 1/20/2015

Charlie: is a 3 yo neutered male rough coat. He was a stray from Statesboro animal control. He’s learning the rules here at the Rescata. Very affectionate dog. 1/18/2015

Ernie: is a 8 Mo neutered male rough coat. His Owner dumped him at a shelter in West Ga after emailing w/ Ga SBR for several months. He became a Facebook poster child and is now available for adoption. 1/15/2015

TRAPPER: is an absolutely stunning 2 year old male shorthair. Trapper was left in a vacant home for 10 months, and his owner would come once a day to feed him, but he was otherwise left alone. He was then rescued by a family and has lived with them for the last 2 months, but he turned out to be an escape artist so she released him to the rescue. Trapper is currently in a foster home in Boise, ID, with 2 other dogs and a cat and is doing great! He is an incredible love bug and absolutely loves and and all attention and affection you can give him. His foster mama said he is crate trained. He will definitely need some obedience training and leash training. He hasn’t had an owner show him proper manners yet. Trapper is incredibly smart and food motivated so he will be easy to train. Secure 6′ or taller fence is a must. 1/13/2015

YODEL: THIS IS YODEL. A very energetic, loves-to-play saint bernard male. He is a very young 8 years old and is currently being fostered in Fredericksburgh, VA. His sister has already found her forever home and he needs a home with another dog to play with and have as company. He is good with kids too. Not sure about cats, but has chased bunnies all over the yards. 1/10/2015

Bella: who is in Virginia Beach, VA is 5 years old. She lived on a farm and does well with little dogs and other animals but she chased the goats so the owner got rid of her. The dog is also not a fan of riding in a car. She is currently in Virginia beach being fostered and doing quite well. She should not go to home with small children. She is a lovely wonderful dog and is quite jolly. 1/10/2015

Elka Rose: Beautiful Elka Rose is a 3 year old female saint bernard looking for forever home. She is spayed and UTD on shots. She is a good girl and is very affectionate. She should not go to a home with cats and small dogs. She a needs home with big dog experience and the time to walk her and love her and give her the attention she deserves. She would be fine, we believe, with a large male dog. Elka was in a shelter for weeks but is doing quite well now in foster care and loving her foster family in Bethlehem, PA. 1/10/2015

Moose: is a 16 month old puppy. What a delight he is to have in your home. Very affectionate and super cute!!! He is a smooth coat male. Moose was turned in by his owner. He is housetrained; and very nice. He loves kids, and everyone. Seems to get along well with other dogs. There were other dogs in the household. He is so very sweet that he should go to a peaceful home where the other pets are not bossy or aggressive due to his extremely kind nature. If you want a young fella but that is already vetted and house trained, 1/10/2015

Thunder: is a 2 years old wonderful male saint who is currently being fostered in South Dayton, NY. He is utd and neutered. He is great with other dogs and cats. He is underweight but the wonderful fosters are working on that. He loves kids but should go to a home with older children due to his size and love for play and life. Please contact us for more information of this wonderful young male saint. 1/10/2015

Cisco: is an eight year old longhaired Saint Bernard. He is probably best in an only dog home although he did well with other dogs until coming into rescue. A retired home would be the best for Cisco. He loves to play each night in his foster home by running around the yard and plopping at your feet for a tummy rub. He is neutered and up to date on his shots, heartworm free, and micro chipped. Cisco is a love per his foster family and deserves to live out his life with lots of attention. 1/7/2015

Wooden: 3-1/2 year old male and a little underweight, he is in rescue do to a divorce in his family. He has grown up with children and loves to be around them. He needs a little time to warm up to any new dog. In his new foster home he made friends with a Rat Terrier and now are best buddies. So if you are looking for a great addition to your family he is a good choice. 1/5/2015
