Sully: & Owen: Sully is 2 years old and pushing 100+ lbs, Owen is over 4 and about 100lbs.  They are both extremely gentle inside dogs, Sully isn't much one for water, but Owen loves to swim in the pond. They were raised with a now 8 year old little boy who seems to get away with anything with them.  They love to play with toys and balls, and they love wrestling with each other.  They are trained to stay inside for about 6 hours without having accidents while i go to work.  They do need a fenced yard because they love to run.  Even though they are not brothers, they act like they have been together there entire life.  They love to be inside and just lie at your feet, that's all they seem to do unless you shoo them outside or force them on a walk.  They currently live with a cat, and are more scared of him then the other way around.  They have never shown aggression or attacked anyone, they are cows in my opinion. I am in Culpeper VA. Please contact me via email at Halbre1@yahoo.com Breanne Silberbauer 4/2/2008

Smiley: Hello!  My name is Smiley and lovin' on you is my game.  No one knows much about me other than I was a stray in Brazoria County, Texas and was picked up by the nice ACO's there.  Someone said they thought I had some Collie in me (I'll never tell) so the nice folks from Houston Collie Rescue sprung me from jail and I went to live with my foster mom in Conroe, Texas, just north of Houston.  I was so excited to be out I tried to help her drive all the way to my new home!  She took me to a place called My Family Vet where they listened to my heart and lungs, took some blood, and other things I don't want to talk about.  They gave me "shots", OUCH! and said I was light HW+, whatever that means.  I get a treat each month that's supposed to help with that. Back home I get to run and play with two other outside friends.  Mom can't let me inside the house because she also rescues vile things called C A T S!  I don't have a very good reputation around cats.  I think they are for chasing and, well.....I was on the streets and had to fight for my food so I can be pretty dominate around other dogs too.  It might be best if it was just you and me, know what I mean? I looove people of all ages and sizes, and I give great kisses according to Mom.  I like to hug too.  If you think you would like to meet me or know more about me please contact my foster mom at missginnylowry@yahoo.com.   Please put SMILEY in the Subject line so she can get back to you lickety split! 3/14/2008

C.C.: This sweet little girl is a pure bred Saint Bernard who just didn't quite grow as big as the others. C.C. is full of love and devotion for any human who shows her love (and treats)! She will literally throw herself onto your feet and roll over to present her belly. She also loves to play with other dogs (there are three Saints and a small army of cats in her foster home). She is one of the most eager to please dogs we have ever met. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She was heart worm positive when found, but has been treated and is doing great. C.C. is a young adult. She is gaining weight but will max out at about 90 pounds. She will be (is) a fabulous pet!! PLEASE CONTACT ELIZABETH1@FCDF.ORG FOR MORE INFORMATION. Birmingham, AL 2/3/2008

Denver: is an incredibly wonderful 110 lb. Saint/lab mix dog.  He would make a great addition to any family.  It has taken me quite a bit of deliberation to decide to put him up for adoption but in all fairness to him, it's the right thing to do.  I adopted him from the Defense League when he was 2 years old.  He has been with our family almost 6 years.  Yes he is an older dog but my vet assures me he has plenty of years still left in him.  He is fantastic around kids, cats, other dogs, livestock. you name it.  He will "talk" when he needs something, totally housetrained, neutered, has never chewed up or damaged anything Honestly he would fit in anywhere except where he can't have a yard.  He needs that and it's become increasingly clear to me that he deserves that also.  Along with a small adoption fee (just to make sure someone really wants him) comes his dog food, dog bowls, leashes, leads, bandanas, shot records, original records from when I adopted him if you want, dog food container, brushes and vitamins .If you would like to meet him or want to inquire about him, please feel free to contact Stacy via cell 512.769.7800 or email sub_bean@yahoo.com Denver is in Austin, Texas.  1/11/2008

Eagon: arrived 10-29-07. We guess him to be 8-10 months old. Someone has done a great injustice to this dog. When he fills out he is going to be huge. But, worse yet, they didn't teach him an manners. He has no idea what a leash is for of what sit is or that he needs to listen. He is sweet and loves attention but he will definitely need obedience training. For the safety of Eagon and small children in the home we will not adopt into families with young children. *****You can visit Eagon at the shelter Saturday and Sunday noon to 4*****. Unless it states ADOPTED behind the name, the animal is still available. If it states ADOPTION PENDING it means we have a good application and are waiting for the spay/neuter to get done so they can go home. This pet is up to date with routine shots. 11/15/2007

Cheyenne: Owner surrender; Cheyenne is approx. 2 1/2 years old; up to date on shots and preventatives, not spayed yet. She is loving with people and seems to be generally ok with the male dog in this family, but not the female dog  (who is spayed).  The owner feels she needs to re-home her St. Bernard and would love her to go into a proper home for her.  She keeps the Saint and the other female separated at this time.  Please let me know if you may be able to help with Cheyenne. The contact info for Cheyenne is Denise Dykstra, 302-349-5642.   Thanks so much, Diane, Animal Rescue League of Sussex County, Inc. 11/10/2007

He kept wild animals away and protected the kids when they played and was the best dog I have ever had the only reason am looking for a home is because I have to because he was chasing the cattle. 10/15/2007

Puge: Hello my name is Puge and I am a mixed-blooded St. Bernard (no papers) that needs a loving home. I am 6 years old and full of energy. I have been an outside dog all my life. I am in fair health and I eat a lot of food. I like my food mixed – half can and half dry. I do have epilepsy and bad hips and therefore require medication twice a day. I get a long with other dogs but not while I’m eating. I have not had any children to play with, so I can’t say how I would react around them. I have added some of my best pictures below for you to enjoy. Contact my current owner, Paul, via e-mail at mystbernards2@yahoo.com 9/14/2007

Ranger: is a very sweet  4 year old Saint Bernard.  He is house broken and leash trained (on a training leash).  He is a indoor/outdoor dog who never really chews up or destroys anything. He is great with kids, cats and most dogs.  Ranger is located in the Fort Worth area of Texas.  If interested, please contact Sarah Griffin at 817-741-0617. 7/20/2007

Isabelle: is 16 months old, spayed, housebroken.  She loves other dogs, but can be rough; but only because she's big and has tons of energy, not because she's aggressive.  She weighs about 120 pounds.  She likes cats, but can be rough; she just doesn't know how big she is.  She is great with our children; we have a 4 year old boy and she lets him do just about anything to her!  She loves belly rubs and will "smack" you with her big paw if you try to stop!  She is purebred, but no papers. She loves to be brushed, and she has good manners when you're eating around her.  She has NEVER tried to take food from us!  She drools only when she's hot or sees food!  And boy does she like water! FENCED IN YARD REQUIRED! Contact owner directly: crystal_1219@msn.com 4/23/2007

(Adopted 4/21/2007) Scooby: & (Still available) Shaggy: Scooby is the white one. Shaggy is tan and white. Shaggy is more energetic and comes across as hyper in the kennel. Scooby is a little more relaxed. They are both very friendly and so eager for attention. Fort Drum is located near Watertown, New York. It is a military post but civilians can come on with proper i.d.. The best way to get info on the animals is to write: fortdrumanimals@yahoo.com   or call 315-772-4262. Karen 4/9/2007

Mavis: is a 2 1/2 yr. female spayed St. Bernard. She is good with dogs big & small. She loves attention. I'm a little dog person and a horse person. I've never had a HUGE dog. She loves to put her ENORMOUS paws on my shoulders and give me kisses. She loves to jump up and love you to death. We are working on getting her to understand "down" and when she sits down, she gets praise. If you sit down outside, she wants "in your lap". She loves to have her belly rubbed and she will stand and let you give her a bath outside. She doesn't like leashes and if you have one in your hand she will back up but not run away. You can just get her and put on her leash and she will stand nicely for her bath. It only takes 1 person to give her a bath. She will stand there if you scrub and talk real sweet to her and tell her she is a good girl. She just loves that. She doesn't realize she is so BIG. She is very protective. She will have a gruff bark if strangers come around and she really gets scared if they have a ball cap or some kind of hat on. I don't know if she was abused in the past but one day I brought a broom outside to clean it on the side of the house and she cowered down thinking I was gonna hit her with it. I quickly put it down and pet her to reassure her that I was not going to hurt her with the broom. She is good with my 2 small dogs she is just interested in playing with them and has never offered to hurt them in anyway even though at times my little ones will growl at her. Mavis likes to run my horses around, not all the time only when I'm down there feeding, grooming or riding. She pesters the horses when I ride as well. I think it's all fun for her but I try to scold her and tell her "NO" but I can't get her to stop messing with the horses. I just can't keep her, I'm afraid she will run the horses through the fence. Mavis needs lots of attention and some discipline from someone who knows how to work with LARGE dogs. She seems smart, is lovable and needs attention. Please help me, I don't want to just give her to someone off the street. But I have 2 horses that I'm very concerned about. We live not far from the interstate and if they are run though the fence that's were they will end up. HELP!!! 1/16/2007

Brandy: is a 6yr old female. She weighs about 120lbs, is fully vetted and spayed.  I've had her for about 5 months.  Her owner had passed away and the widower put her outside and allowed her to get in horrible condition.  When she was rescued and taken to the vet she tested positive for heartworms, but has successfully completed her treatment for that.  Once she made it through that we had her spayed.  She is now in excellent health and ready to go to her forever home. She is housebroken, and knows basic commands.  She loves all people.  She does NOT like all other dogs, but does get along well with some and doesn't like cats at all.  She is very well behaved and deserves to live the rest of her life in a safe peaceful environment. Brandy is located in Dacula, GA 1/12/2007
